After working on my Diamond team for quite a while now, I started working on my Pearl team as well. And now here it is:
Remember, however, this is a Wifi Team, therefore, Hidden Powers and perfect natures for the legendaries are not easily accessable. Anyway, Rate it please^^and thanks a lot in advance.
Miltank @ Leftovers
Impish
252HP, 200Def, 56 SpDef
Ability: Scrappy
- Stealth Rock
- Body Slam
- Heal Bell
- Milk Drink
One word: Utility. Miltank will be my lead, set up Stealth Rock and then will only show her Face, when there is need of a Cleric. Body Slam over Return due to the Paralysis chance and Miltank is not built to do damage anyway.
Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Adamant
178HP, 180 Atk, 152 Spd
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast / Roost / Focus Punch / Thunder Punch / Fire Punch
Dragonite forms the centre of the Team. Outrage and Earthquake hit everything except Bronzong and Skarmory for neutral damage and in the late game, DDnite can become a deadly Sweeper. Fire Blast is not such a neccessity anymore, since Heatran can handle Skarm and non-EQ Bronzong, so Roost could be the better option. Focus Punch is also possible in the last moveslot as it hits Blissey and Tyraniboah Switch ins hard and T-Punch could get rid of Milotic.
Heatran @ Choice Specs
Modest
112HP, 252 SpAtk, 144Spd
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
- Dark Pulse / Flash Cannon / HP [Grass / Ice / Electric]
Rather Bulky Special Sweeper. Heatran has some pretty useful resistances (most notably a 4x Resistance to Ice and Grass and a Immunity to Fire), and could be pretty hard to take down, he also works well with Dragonite and Jirachi, since those three elliminate each others weaknesses (Dragonite is immune to Heatrans greatest fear whilst Heatran is quasi immune to Ice). Lava Plume is its major Attack and comes with a handy burning rate and together with Earth Power, it hits everything resistant to Dragon Pulse for Supereffective Damage. Heatran is rather slow though, so Miltanks Body Slam could come in useful from time to time.
Cresselia @ Leftovers
Bold
252HP, 140 Def, 116 SpDef
- Ice Beam
- Charge Beam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
Primarly my physical Wall and Dragon counter (Heatran can OHKO every Dragon in OU with Dragon Pulse, but cannot safely Switch into them as they are likely to have EQ (or Hydro Pump on SpecsMence)). With Charge Beam, she can start a Stall fest with Blissey, which Cress will win due to the boosts from Charge Beam. Cress is also a useful Status absorber and can easily be switched in on Earthquakes, which Heatran and Jirachi are likely to attract.
Jirachi @ Leftovers
Sassy
252HP, 252Def, 6 SpDef
- Wish
- Calm Mind
- Water Pulse
- Reflect
My Special Wall and Wish Passer. This is a pretty unusual moveset, but that little guy can be a good Team supporter with Wish and Reflect, which also helps him on the physical side. Water Pulse over Psychic for better type coverage and no common immunities (except Vaporeon). Additionally it can annoy with the 40% Confusion chance which can force Switches from time to time. After a single CM, Jirachi reaches a SpDef Stat of 381 (26 IVs) with 404HP (31 IV) and a SpAtk Stat of 354 (31 IV), which makes Water Pulse a certain OHKO on Dugdrio and gives enough Special Defence to shrug off Magnezones Thunderbolt with ease, both of which can trap Jirachi. Two boosts should be enough to at least 2HKO a Max/Min Tyranitar
Starmie @ Leftovers
Timid
178HP, 116 SpAtk, 216 Spd
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
Spinner and Gyarados counter mainly. As Gyara will Taunt on the Switch, I got enough time to Switch and Attack whilst he Dances or Switches out.
Tread List:
Garchomp
Cresselia can safely switch in with a boatload of Defence and KO with Ice Beam (one Charge Beam boost is a certain OHKO)
Blissey
After two Dances, Dragonite should at least 2HKO with Outrage, apart from that, Blissey could be a pain in the arse, really.
Gengar
Dark Pulse Heatran will OHKO
Gyarados
Starmie. Cresselia to a lesser extend.
Tyranitar
DDnite if 'tar lacks Ice Beam and Stone Edge, Heatran
Lucario
Heatran, Cresselia
Heatran
Starmie
Metagross
Heatran, Dragonite, if it's CBGross
Salamence
Cresselia
Bronzong
Heatran if EQ is absent, Cress after a few Charge Beams
Infernape
Cresselia, Starmie
Weavile
Heatran
