RMT - I need help covering my teams weaknesses

Sorry about my previous thread mods. I hope this one is much better

Lead: Swampert @ Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Movepool:
Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Ice Beam
Surf

With Swampert on my team I am able to easily set up stealth rock and have a stable defensive lead. However unlike most other leads I have tried out Swampert has some advantages that I find help my team the most. First of all Swampert allows me to not only set up stealth rock, but also deal damage later in the game if nessecarry because of his typing and his bulkyness. Having him on my team to sponge up physical attacks and to hit hard later on leaves room for more offensive choices in other teammates. Also his movepool provides fantastic type coverage.

Latias: @ Life Orb
Nature: Modest
EVs:4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Movepool:
Surf
Recover
Calm Mind
Dragon Pulse

Latias works as a somewhat bulky Special Sweeper. She is able to quickly take down opponents that may prove a problem to my other teamates such as Salamance as well her ground type immunity helps both defensvly against moves such as earthquake but also against spikes. Additionally she takes little damage from stealthrock. With a few CMs under her belt she can kill anything that dosent resist her. Leaving room for the rest of my team to dispatch her weaknesses. Surf is there for more type coverage.

Scizor: Sword Dance Life Orb

Nature: Adament
EVs:32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe
Movepool:
Bullet Punch
Swords Dance
Quick Attack
Super Power

Scizor helps me both revenge kill and sweep on the physical side. He kills leads who carry focus sash. His good typing gives him few weaknesses this again helps my team defensivly somewhat, this is because the pokemon on my team have few weaknesses for the most part, however what they are weak too hits hard and thats why scizor helps to hit rock and ice types hard with bullet punch. As well as killing Rock types, and Normal types with Superpower. With sword dance technician and life orb he works well as a sweeper too. And with quick attack he can priority pokemon who resist bullet punch.

Breloom: @ Toxic Orb
Nature: Adament
Stats:
EVs:48 HP / 252 Atk / 208 Spe
MovePool:
Substitute
Focus Punch
Seed Bomb
Spore

Breloom although laking in raw defencive stats helps shut down oppoenents that are causing trouble for teh rest of my team. Breloom can spore a trouplesome sweepers if correct prediction is used. And if he lands a spore he can substitue on the switch allowing him to sub punch anything that switches in. Seed Bomb allows him to deal damage to Ghosts as well as deal more damage to ground types especially swampert.

Snorlax: @Leftovers
Nature: Careful
EVs: 168 HP / 120 Def / 220 SpD
Level 33
Fully EVed as shown on the Curselax EVs on Smogon
Movepool:
Rest
Curse
Body Slam
Fire Punch

Snorlax spunges up special attack damage. But his beauty is really shown in late game when I am able to get a curse or two under his belt. He covers Latias ghost weakness well. And with those curses under his belt he can body slam and potentially kill anyhting that can't kill him first. Fire Punch helps deal damage to ghosts but also hurts steel types and the rare grass type.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Modest
EVs:4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Movepool:
Fire Blast
Earth Power
Explosion
Dragon Pulse

Heatran is my built in speedy revenge killer. With his high special attack stat and choice scarf he can revenge kill pokemon that are weaker in the special defence area. Fire Blast can kill steel types and is his STAB move. While Earthpower can get rid of tyranatar. Dragon Pulse hurts Flygon and Salamence as well as Latias. While Explosion allows him to go out with a boom. Also his imunity to fire type attacks and his good typing helps support the team.

Good team. I used a similar one a while ago with a fair bit of success.

I think you have too many set up pokemon. You could probably go choice band Scizor > SD Scizor for the more immediate power and to handle things like Mixmence a tad bit better, although you have Heatran to revenge kill him so its not a big deal. Another advantage of adding CB Scizor is that you can revenge kill Gengar a lot easier.

At the moment Gyarados with Ice Fang can give you a bit of trouble if it has a DD under its belt and SR is up on your side of the field. Also CM Suicune with Ice Beam/ Surf/ HP Electric can give you a ton of trouble as well. Adding Roar over Surf on Swampert helps with this, as Gyarados who carry ice fang dont usually carry taunt alongside it, so you are pretty safe there. Roar can also help a bit with Suicune (save for last pokemon situation) so you can wear it down with SR damage and Earthquakes and put it into Heatrans Explosion range (but if a good player expects this and switches to a Ghost when you go boom you're screwed.

like i said before, I think its a good team. I use to run pretty much the same members (pert/ CB Scizor/ same Latias but with Lefties/ Breloom/ Scarftran) but i used Tyranitar over Snorlax because it can still spong special attacks relitivley well, is stonger and has more speed, but the sandstorm really only screws over Latias, but I used leftovers to accomodate this.

Good luck

Swampert does not need Surf, as Ice Beam is super effective to over 25% of the OU Population. Replace with Roar, because your team has no Phasers. There are no typesthat water can hit super effectively that Ice and Ground cannot.

Latias
ALWAYS run a Timid Nature on LO or Calm Mind Latias because She will want to outspeed Jolly Mence.

Scizor Take the HP evs and put all but 4 into SPEED so that you will always outspeed Adamant T-Tar. This will allow you to KO with Superpower before it can possibly get off a Fire Blast.

Breloom
I don't like this spot. You lack a second fighting resist, and you have to status absorbers/inducers. I think rotom-h would help this team.
479_rotom_heat_1_m.png

Rotom - H @ Leftovers
Bold
252HP / 168DEF / 88 SP.DEF
Discharge
Will - o - Wisp
Sleep Talk
Rest

This rotom's Evs are slightly unstandard. In the standard set, the 88 Evs are placed in SPEED so that it can outspeed Adamant Scizor. However, Heatran is a great counter against Scizor, so the Speed Evs are unneeded. Rotom is a safe switchin to both of the notorious sleep leads: Smeargle and Roserade. There is only one pokemon immune to both will o wisp and T-wave: Macargo.

Snorlax and Heatran look fine: I run similar sets myself.
Good Luck with your team!

hello!

looking at your team I see a kinda lack of team synergy as far as supporting each other in sweeps goes. curse snorlax is a pokemon that really doesnt work particularly well if it doesnt have the proper team support to feed off of, and this team it sort of seems like snorlax was just slapped on to tank hits and maybe do some damage. when using a pokemon like curse snorlax, teammates that sponge its weaknesses are generally going to be the best choices. with that moveset it cannot touch ghost type pokemon, and will also be struggling with powerful fighting type attacks from the likes of lucario and heracross. at the moment your team is kinda vulnerable to ghost type attacks in general, and I can see that being a pretty decent sized problem, seeing as pokemon like rotom-a and gengar are so damn prevailent in the current metagame. in order to help out curselax and the rest of your team, Im thinking about a replacement pokemon for breloom...like choice scarf tyranitar. choice scarf tyranitar can pretty easily surprise, outspeed, and kill ghost type pokemon in general, as more often than not they do not expect tyranitar to be faster than them. tyranitar also helps out your secondary sweeper, swords dance scizor, in that it can fairly easily remove ghost types and steel types, namely heatran who really can put a full stop to swords dance scizors sweeping attempts single-handedly. if you want to use swords dance scizor then it is generally a pretty damn good idea to have a gameplan on how to get rid of these pokemon, as swords dance scizor can be kinda a waste of a set if not used with proper team support and whatnot. anyway, for tyranitar, you're going to want to use this set:

tyranitar @ choice scarf | sand veil
jolly | 4 hp | 252 atk | 252 spe
stone edge | crunch | pursuit | earthquake

yeah so the deal here is eliminating the other pokemon that can put a halt to your main setup sweepers attempted sweeps, most notably gengar, heatran, and the ever pesky rotom-a. the only thing with using tyranitar on your team is that it will give you some problems with fighting-type attacks; really, though, choice scarf tyranitar is more of a "surprise" pokemon if you will, and is nice at taking out random pokemon like swords dance lucario who could otherwise relatively easily sweep your team should heatran be koed early in the match.

on scizor Im currently kinda thinking more along the lines of a bulkier swords dance scizor. should you decide to switch to tyranitar, you will have proper team support so that you can easily set up swords dances against neutral hits with the threat of pokemon like gengar and heatran and magnezone safely removed (assuming tyranitar does its job). bulkier swords dance scizor really isnt a huge change from what youre currently running, but is instead designed for scizor to make a full lategame sweep as opposed to just like randomly coming into the match when theres an opening like your set currently does. use an ev spread of 200 hp | 252 atk | 56 spe, use roost over quick attack, and use brick break over superpower; also, use leftovers as opposed to life orb. what we have here is a more conservative build on swords dance scizor that will allow scizor to stick around for much longer and as such be able to more easily check other threats and just stick around for much longer and cause more damage. roost is great as it allows scizor to reliably heal off its health, and is very useful should scizor find itself kinda low on health at some point in the mid to lategame. brick break is better over superpower mainly because it doesnt lower scizor's attack and defense, and since with this set scizor will just naturally be getting much more swords dances than before anyway, it is important to not have to erase scizors hard earned boosts with superpower.

now as far as minor changes go, use a timid nature on latias to outspeed more threats, and use protect over surf on swampert. protect is useful as it allows swampert to scout for pokemon that use explosion such as metagross and azelf, as well as scout for the many common choice users in the ou tier like choice band scizor and choice scarf mangezone and friends. also, on heatran youre going to want to be using hidden power grass over dragon pulse. your team kinda struggles to hit opposing swampert hard (if youre going to remove breloom, which you defintely should :P), and hidden power grass can easily ohko a weakened swampert.

hope I helped, and good luck with your team dude! ;)

I do have an Adament Gyrados with Dragon Dance that is EVed I just need to give it the right move pool, I dunno if that would be able to help the team instead of breloom but it just seems like another sweeeper I do need more synergy I could possibly switch Scizor over to a Choice Band set and take out Breloom and put in Gyrados would that benifit my team at all?

I also have an EVed Specs Mance but I dunno how good that is in todays OU metagame. Do any of these ideas sound good?

The standard set for Adamant DD Gyarados is
gyarados-f.png

Gyarados @ Life Orb
Adamant 252ATK/6DEF/252SPEED
Dragon Dance/Substitute/Waterfall/Bounce

The goal of this set is to substitute on a pokemon who will switch out (generally Heatran), and commence to Dragon Dance. Gyarados has the power to eliminate most of the threats in OU, save a few (namely scarf latias and jirachi).

The Standard Specs Mence goes something like this:
373.png

Salamence @ Choice Specs
Rash 4HP/252SP.ATK/252SPEED
Hydro Pump/Fire Blast/Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse

Basically, this set allows you unresisted type coverage. Pick the move which suits your purpose for the battle. If you somehow are forced to use Salamence early game, Draco Meteor is your most powerful move. Dragon Pulse is better for late game sweeping when most steels are dead or severly weakened.

I also can switch out Breloom for Choice Scarf Modest Genger I just need to switch him over from my diamond to my platinum somehow to teach him trick and then I need to switch hime back to my diamond or just port my entire team to platinum if I only I have two DS lol
