RMT: Insane Special Attackers

Ok, first, before entering the team, here's the strategy: Get rid of their special walls, then overwhelm them!

Azelf @ Life Orb ** Pixie
Trait: Levitate
Evs: 252 Sp atk, Rest in Speed and attack
Mild Nature (+ Spa, - Def)
- Explosion
- Psychic
- Grass Rope
- Nasty Plot

Basically, start with Nasty Plot to have the advantage, grass rope and psychic away. Explosion the minute Blissey, Snorlax, Regi, or Cress enters, flees if something happens.

Regice @ Leftovers ** Icy Body
Trait: Clear Body
Evs: 116 Sp Atk, 238 Atk, 40 Def, 116 HP
Relaxed Nature ( +Def, -Spd)
- Explosion
- Sleep Talk
- Thunderbolt
- Ice beam

Sleep absorber, says hi to that pink whore we know as blissey. A great special attacker if the special wall goes down. Also a good special wall in itself.

Weezing @ Leftovers ** Miaredo
Trait: Levitate
Evs: 200 HP, 12 Spd, 48 Def, 252 Satk
Nature: Modest (+Sp Atk, - Atk)
- Destiny Bond
- Sludge Bomb
- Thunderbolt
- Will-O-Wisp

This acts as a lot of things = A killer, a burner, and a special attacker. Also a tank. Destiny bond rocks in taking down rhyperiors.
Why thunderbolt > flamethrower? Cause this thing is my only gyarados counter. Besides, thunderbolt still hits skarm hard, Meta gets burned, so only jirachi is a problem. And steelix, which is immune to both, but doesn't like getting burned either.

Tyranitar @ Life Orb ** Tyranimia
Trait: Sandstream
Evs: 252 HP, 188 Sp Atk, 68 Spd
Quiet Nature (+ Sp Atk, - Spd)
- Focus Punch
- Dark Pulse
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam

Before you guys go Wtf, here's the concept: This guy acts as a special attacker that Blissey, Snorlax and Regice will NEVER switch into. Cress gets a dark pulse to her face if she appears. A good focus punch eliminates blissey, allowing the team to sweep. Regice and Snorlax would be forced to rest.

Salamence @ Choice specs
Trait : Intimidate
Nature : Modest (+Sp atk, - Atk)
EVs : 6 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SpAtk
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Hydro Pump
- Dragon Pulse

(Copied from Phuquoph, thanks in advance). Well, the special attacking Sala, which only counter is a special wall. However, seeing as their special walls should be taken down by weezing, azelf, or regice, this will be free to sweep.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
Evs : 252 Def, 124 Hp, 132 Sp Atk
Nature: Bold (+Def, -atk)
- Ice beam
- Wish
- Roar
- Surf

The wisher, this helps to keep the team alive. Wish means that it's able to heal everyone in the team, Wish + Roar means it'll stay alive long enough to phaze any baton passer. Surf and ice beam are forms of offense. It also serves as a back-up tank, especially if weezing dies.

As you can see, the only physical moves i have in this team are Explosion and Focus Punch. Destiny Bond can easily take down unsuspecting pokemons, especially since weezing normally doesn't carry it. (Unlike Gengar). Vapy keeps this team very alive, passing around wishes. And once their special wall goes down, Sally and Ttar sweeps, and so does Azelf (if it's still alive).

Any comments? (Probably one of the few teams in which Electrivire doesn't walk over)

Edited:
Threat List:

Ttar: Vaporeon can enter and surf it, he can also wish back the damage from sandstorm
Gyarados: Weezing can come in and Burn it,Azelf can hit it with stabbed psychics, Regice can take a blow, and thunderbolt it back.
Infernape: Vapy can take a few hits from a physical, and attack it back with surf. Salamence can switch into a fighting move, and hydro pump it. Azelf can switch into a fighting move, and psychic it back.
Regice can switch into any non-fire special move, while Vapy can switch into a fire move.
Azelf: Regice takes very little from non-schemed attacks. Weezing can destiny bond it if desperate...
Rhyperior: Weezing can take blows from it, and WoW him back. Vapy can take a few hits, and surf it back.
Electrivire: Regice can take a hit, and attack back with ice beams. Azelf is faster, and can attack it with stabbed psychics.
Heracross: Weezing can take fighting or bug attacks, and sludge bomb or flamethrower it back. Salamence can switch into a fighting or bug attack, and lower it's attack.
Salamence: Vaporeon can switch into a draco meteor and wish/Ice beam. He can also wish and switch to regice, who is able to OHKO salamence with ice beam. For physical Sallys, Vaporeon can switch into it and wish, weezing can burn it, and Sally can lower it's attack.
Togekiss: Regice can switch into it and atttack it with Stabbed Ice beams. Ttar can switch into an air slash or tri-attack, and attack it back with thunderbolt or ice beam.
Gengar: Azelf can OHKO it, ttar can switch in provided it doesn't have energy ball/Grass rope, Regice can switch into a hypnosis.
Garchomp: Vapy can switch into it and ice beam it. Regice can ice beam it, provided it doesn't have rock slide. Weezing can switch into an EQ and WoW it.
Raikou: Regice takes almost nothing from non-CMed attacks, and about 33% from CM-ed attacks. It can ice beam it. Ttar can handle HP-ice versions, Sally can handle HP-grass versions.
Lucario: Weezing can switch into a reversal without problem, vapy can come into a revenge kill and surf it back, Sally can keep lowering it's attack.
Rampardos: Vappy can easily take an attack, and surf it back. Ttar/Weezing can also come onto a Head Smash, and kill/Burn it.
Tauros: Ttar can come into Returns/Zenheadbutts, while Azelf/Sally comes into EQs. Weezing can enter into EQs as well, but must beware of Zen headbutt.
Starmie: Regice can enter and attack it back with thunderbolts. Vaporeon can switch into surfs for the recovery.
Weavile: Sally can switch into anything apart from ice punchs, Vappy can take a few hits.
Dugtrio: Azelf/Sally/Weezing aren't affected by Arena trap, Regice can ice beam it to OHKO(Although if he does manage to withstand ice beam and OHKO with rock slide i'm in trouble), Vaporeon just sits there without problem. Ttar however, dies to it.
Alakazam: Regice can take a few hits... Vaporeon can take any CG fire punches.
PorygonZ: A counter is something that can switch into it without dying, and nothing is actually safe from a schemed adaptive hyper beam, so i'll say i can't counter this with the exception of Ttar.
Medicham: Azelf is a lot faster, and can psychic it, vapy can take a few hits, and surf it, Sally can switch into a fighting move and lower it's attack.
Straptor: Ttar can take flying and normal attacks, Vapy/Azelf takes Close combat.
Slowbro: Nope.
Jolteon: Having only 1 electric move on the whole team, this guy won't be that troublesome. Regice can shrug off it's attacks, especially with wish.
Aerodactyl: Vapy/Ttar laughs off rock slides, Azelf, Weezing and Sally can stay afloat of EQs. Ttar can take a double-edge without problem.
Snorlax: Having 2 exploders and a focus puncher on the team, this guy will die before he makes a move.
Zapdos: Regice can ice beam it, Ttar can probably take 3 hits, and ice beam it.
Blissey: Takes Explosions from Azelf and Regi, Ttar can FP it.
Suicune: Only weezing has a problem with this beast. I don't have any set uppers anyways.
Sceptile: Weezing can switch into sword dancing versions, and sludge bomb it back, or burn it. For special versions, Regice takes almost nil from it.
Slaking: Deep problem. The closest i have to a counter is a weezing.
Ninjask: Vapy can roar it out, weezing takes almost nothing from bug attacks, and can flamethrower it.
Metagross: Vapy takes almost nil from MM, weezing avoids EQs and WoW it.
Celebi: The myriad of icebeams/Flamethrowers/Dark pulse in this team will stop it.
Jirachi: With flamethrowers on Sally/Weezing, and dark pulse on Ttar, this guy will be stopped, unless it's a doom desire.
Manaphy: Problem, must rely on Destiny Bond/Explosion to bring this down.

Needs more threat list. I posted a similiar team, which had Exploding Azelf and Gengar to kill Special walls and everything else using Special Attacks. Beware Landshark and Salamence really, lack of Steel or Water with Ice Beam is going to cripple you.

O right... editing in thread list now

Edit: Do note that this team doesn't really care about stat-uppers, as the main theory behind this team is to kill the opponent before 18 turns are up.

Edit2: Yeah sorry bout weezing, i accidently typed naughty/atk,

The team looks alright, but Weezing seems off. Naughty nature is useless on Weezing when you are using special attacks. Rash would be the equivalent if you still wanted to lower your special defense. Sludge Bomb is special based now.

Weezing sans TBolt is not a Gyarados counter.

It has WoW, and gyarados does not like to be burned.

Edit: Ok good point from Phuquoph. Changing my weezing a bit.

Vapy has that special attack to at least 2hko Garchomp. I didn't run any damage calculator for this, so it's probably going to be changed. Besides, it doesn't need speed.

Weezing can't use WoW if Gyarados Taunts him.

Is there any specific reason Vaporeon has all that Special Attack?

You aren't really going to like CB Tyranitar, or any Tyranitar in general. To your Weezing:

Adamant, 403 Attack Tyranitar's Choice Banded Stone Edge on a 321HP/288Def (80%/20%) Modest Weezing: 71-83%
Adamant, 403 Attack Tyranitar's Choice Banded Crunch on a 321HP/288Def (80%/20%) Modest Weezing: 57-67%

In a Sandstorm, without Pain Split, your Weezing isn't going to last at all. Your Vaporeon's Wish support will not help in this regard, because:

Adamant, 403 Attack Tyranitar's Choice Banded Stone Edge on a 432HP/240Def (50%/max) Bold Vaporeon: 63-74%
Adamant, 403 Attack Tyranitar's Choice Banded Crunch on a 432HP/240Def (50%/max) Bold Vaporeon: 50-59%

Speaking of Tyranitar, I'm not sure Ice Beam is going to do you much good over Substitute. I guess you're somewhat trying to be original and not use my Boah I guess lol, but literally all you did was copy and paste my Boah EVs and replace Sub for IB, leaving Tyranitar at a 159 speed that won't do it any good against enemy Weezing if you can't throw up a Sub to block the impending WoW. You've really only listed its Ice Beam for stopping Zapdos, which Regice does a million times better. Go Boah, please.

I would really go with Bold on Weezing and use Pain Split, Destiny Bond isn't going to get you anywhere with 159 speed and you can burn Rhyperior if it really wants to stay in and Split off much of the damage. And I would pur Protect over Roar on Vaporeon, I don't think Ninjask is going to be nearly the threat that hard hitters will be.

In general your threat list is kind of flawed because of a lack of inexperience battling. Not trying to be mean at all, but I have an eye for catching this sort of thing in team rates. You have a Protectless Vaporeon cited as a counter to many threats that can and will stay in to 2HKO it. Thunderbolt from Raikou does more than HP Grass on Tyranitar (142.5 to 140), so your Tyranitar cannot better handle CM Raikou if it has HP Ice. And TTar isn't FPing Blissey without a Sub. In general, it would serve you best to actually get your feet wet in the pokétrenches, in Advance right now and obviously in DP, than take our advice for reasons you likely do not understand.

PS that Salamence if anyone's techincally isn't Phuquoph's because he seriously considered using HP Flying over the Dragon Pulse I recommended!

I don't know if Sleep Talk Regice with Explosion really works, unless you can't explode with Sleep Talk. It explodes, probably your only special wall is down, and shit happens.

Lol yeah jump, i'm not really good at D/P mechanics yet.

Actually i was using a Sub/FP/IceBeam/Thunderbolt Ttar in my Adv team as my all special team.

I don't know if Sleep Talk Regice with Explosion really works, unless you can't explode with Sleep Talk. It explodes, probably your only special wall is down, and shit happens.

I've used sleep talking metagross with explosion, among other stuff. Explosion for me really kicks in when i want it too, so it's probably all right.

... Ouch, Ttar is that huge a threat... I guess i have to rework this team again. Seeing as weezing isn't that huge now...

Ok, raikou calculations were way screwed, sorry about that.

Sub/FP/IceBeam/Thunderbolt
Yeah, replace IB with Dark Pulse and you have an instant D/P Boah. Dark/Fight/Elec covers more than Ice/Fight/Electric.

You need better physical defenders on a special attacking team. Especially from shit like Cross, CBTar, CBMence, Gyara, etc.

266 Special Attack will usually guarantee a OHKO on Garchomp (a mere 40 EVs for Vaporeon), although I'd go with 270 (56 EVs) just to be on the safe side. Dump the rest into HP and Defense.

Weezing needs a lot more Defense and less Special Attack. I'd drop Sludge Bomb altogether and go with Fire Blast/Flamethrower, it offers better coverage and hits Jirachi, Steelix and Heracross reasonably hard.

Sleep Talk and Explosion on regi seems a bit off to me. Couldn't it explode itself at an inopportune time[FONT=&quot]?
