RMT (It's been awhile)

It's been awhile since I've been on Smogon (or even played pokemon in general). Fortunately, now that games like MGS4 and Persona 3 FES are beaten, I can get back into it a little.

Venusaur @ Black Sludge
Bold ~ Overgrow (252 HP/126 Def/ 126 Sp.Def)
Leech Seed
Sleep Powder
Energy Ball
Sludge Bomb

Venusaur is my favorite pokemon; thus, it is natural that I lead with him. I've used variations of this model for awhile, and it takes hits from pretty much any lead and can break subs for leads that like to BP out. Otherwise, he can sleep or switch to appropriate counters.

Houndoom @ Wise Glasses
Modest ~ Flash Fire (252 Sp.Attk/ 252 Spe/ 6 Hp)
Nasty Plot
Will-O-Wisp
Flamethrower
Dark Pulse

Functioning as my Special Sweeper, Houndoom can come in on a number of pokemon that threaten Venusaur (not Infernape unfortunately)! If I can predict a fire attack, Nasty Plot on their switch, and then try to sweep... well that would be awesome!

Hitmontop @ Life Orb
Adamant ~ Technician (252 Attk / 252 HP / 4 Spe)
Fake Out
Mach Punch
Rapid Spin
Close Combat/ Bullet Punch

First of all, let me just say how much Hitmontop rules. In numerous occassions, he has won matches for me by coming in, Faking out a weakened pokemon, then priority attacking it before it even got to do anything. I am undecided about Close Combat over Bullet Punch because of the ever present Ghost types that Hitmontop shouldn't be going against anyways.

Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Swift Swim ~ Calm (252 HP/ 76 Sp.Attk / 216 Sp.Def)
Grass Knot/ Toxic
Ice Beam/ Toxic
Proctect
Leech Seed

I needed to deal with the likes of heavier pokemon (Gyrados, Hippowodon, etc.) while still keeping a staller on the team to exact damage from Leech seeds, Toxic Spikes, and Stealth Rocks. Ludicolo would be the prime candidate for a Toxic user, but I do not know if I should compromise his coverage of dragons and/or bulky types for the status. Especially since it will force switches anyway.

Forretress @ Shed Shell
Sturdy ~ Impish (252 Def/ 252 HP/ 6 Sp. Def)
Toxic Spikes
Rapid Spin
Earthquake/Gyro Ball/ Zap Cannon
Explosion

To be honest, I wasn't sure what to do with this moveset. The only thing I wanted for sure was Toxic Spikes. I was thinking about EQ because no one else on my team had it, but Gyro Ball generally does decent damage and can hit levitators as well. Zap Cannon deals with Gyrados though... I dunno. Thoughts?

Empoleon @ Lum Berry
Torrent ~ Calm (252 HP/ 252 Sp.Def/6 Spe)
Aqua Ring
Stealth Rock
Roar
Hydro Cannon/Pump

I am still testing this one out. I really needed SR and a shuffler on my team. (I wish Zapdos could learn SR)! Anyways, Ring for recovery, and the Hydro Cannon is there just because I am a bit paranoid about someone not having an offensive option.

Specific points that needs addressing:
Is Empoleon the best pokemon for shuffling and SR? Or should I delegate that job to something else?
Forretress' Moveset (besides Toxic spikes)
Ludicolo-Is it viable to include Toxic on him? Or is he better with coverage?
Should Hitmontop pack Bullet punch for Ghosts or keep CC for extra damage output?

Feel free to link me to your teams, and I'll look at them too!

@ Venusaur: You missed 6 EVs. The moveset is ok.
@ Houndoom: First of all I'd use Life Orb, and I'd put 24 EVs in HP (Taken from attack) to minimize the damage taken from LO/SR/Sandstorm.
@ Hitmontop: Use Bullet Punch over CC, and move the speed EVs in Def since you're using 3 priority moves.
@ Ludicolo: ok.
@ Forretress: I'd use Leftovers and EQ to kill Magnezone.
@ Empoleon: never use recharge moves... I'd use Surf in the last moveslot.

Hope I helped.
