Hello everybody!
I'm Luca, and I'm new to Smogon, but I have been playing PS for a couple of months.
A couple of weeks ago, I decided I wanted to make a team around Mega Metagross, who is a really cool 'mon in the current meta.
Anyways, here we go!

Teambuilding Process
metagross.png

I wanted to build a team around Mega Metagross, so I started out with him. Standard All-Out Attacker set from Smogon.
metagross.png
raikou.png

The set I was running had trouble with bulky waters, like Slowbro, so I added a AV Raikou to deal with them. Raikou also helped with Metagross' matchup against Skarmory and Mandibuzz.
metagross.png
raikou.png conkeldurr.png
Metagross also takes heavy damage from Bisharp's Sucker Punch and Weavile's Knock Off, so I added AV Conkeldurr to ckeck the both of them.

At this point the team had a major problem the one and only Talonflame. Because of this, I added a defensive Landorus-T. Lando also came with the added benefit of rocks and pivoting capabilities.

Now that the team was close to finished, and since none of my other 'mons had recovery, I added Healing Wish Latias to give Metagross (and other 'mons sometimes too) a second chance if needed.

Lastly, I needed a Pokemon that could clean up after Metagross, Raikou, and Conkeldurr were out, so I added a Belly Drum Azumarill.

keldeo.png

After testing the team for a while, I found that Azu wasn't pulling its weight,l so I replaced him with a scarfed Keldeo. Keldeo is also a form of speed control, something that my team lacked up until this point. I also changed the movesets of Landorus and Raikou a bit, and gave Raikou Choice Specs over the AV it had previously.

The Team

metagross-mega.gif

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

Mega Metagross, being the pokemon I wanted to build around, was mandatory for this team :)
Meteor Mash is his main STAB, Zen Headbutt to hit Keldeo, Conkeldurr and the like, Earthquake and Ice Punch for coverage. Pretty standard set overall.

raikou.gif

Raikou @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Shadow Ball

Raikou is an amazing 'mon. Able to run a multitude of sets with amazing coverage allows Raikou to be a top tier threat. I chose Raikou for this team because he uses STAB Thunderbolt to absolutely decimate bulky waters like Slowbro that Metagross cannot break through.
For example:

252 SpA Choice Specs Raikou Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 24 SpD Slowbro: 474-558 (120.3 - 141.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Also, my Metagross has trouble with Skarmory, and Mandibuzz to some extent, so Raikou fits the bill with calcs like these:

252 SpA Choice Specs Raikou Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Skarmory: 540-636 (161.6 - 190.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Raikou Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 108 SpD Mandibuzz: 378-446 (89.3 - 105.4%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO

conkeldurr.gif

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 20 HP / 252 Atk / 236 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Poison Jab
- Knock Off

Conkeldurr is my main Bisharp/Weavile (and the occaisonal Scarf Tyranitar) check. Sure, if Metagross predicts the switch and hits with his respective coverage moves, he might be able to take one out, but outside of that, these guys can do heavy damage to Metagross, either killing him with prior damage or putting him in revenge-killing range.
To illustrate:

252 Atk Life Orb Weavile Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Metagross: 187-221 (62.1 - 73.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Metagross: 234-276 (77.7 - 91.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Conkeldurr solves this problem with the magical Mach Punch. Also, as an added bonus, if you predict the switch to a Fairy or Psychic type, you can use Poison Jab or Knock Off, respectively.

landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- U-turn
Ah, the majestic lion of OU. Landorus-T fufills three roles on this team: a bird check, a pivot, and a stealth rock setter. Landorus does all of this excellently, which is why I chose him over something like Jirachi with SR and U-Turn. Also, Lando's two weaknesses are covered well by the rest of the team, so he fits in pretty well.
latias.gif
Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 76 HP / 180 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Healing Wish
Latias is such a good pokemon. I like her even more than Latios because of the added bulk and Healing Wish. Latias acts as both a defogger and a HW supporter on my team, while bringing some nifty resists to help patch up the rest of my 'mons.
keldeo.gif
Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Secret Sword
Keldeo is my replacement for BD Azu on this team. I think Keldeo is better in this position because he offers speed control and can be brought out multiple times in a match, while Azu can only BD once. Anyways, Keldeo, as stated earlier, is my form of speed control and a late-game cleaner after Metagross and the rest are finished. Moveset is pretty standard.
Threatlist

ferrothorn.png

Ferrothorn walls this team to no end, bar Keldeo, but Keldeo will go down to a Power Whip or two, so... :(

alakazam-mega.png

Mega Alakazam outspeeds the entire team (again, bar Keldeo) dealing heavy damage or sweeping if Metagross/Raikou/Conkeldurr are weakened enough.

Probably some others but I can't think of anything now.

Conclusion

I really like this team, being the first one that has performed well for me.
I really want to improve, though, so please rate!

Yo fren, thats a rly solid Team u got there!

It hasnt many weaks at all but you could cover the few remaining with a different m Meta set

I would suggest u HAMMER ARM over eq and PURSUIT over Ice punch.

Hammer Arm will hit ferro harder while still hitting heatran and pursuit will be able to trap latis and zam which are very troublesome to your team.
Thats all id change right now, cool Team !

Yo dude, nice team you got there. I see you have a hard time breaking Ferrothorn. For this reason you should run Hammer Arm>Earthquake on Metagross. This way you able to 2HKO Ferrothorn on the switch, and now you aren't completely walled by it with the Current set you had. Also Hammer Arm still hits the same things Super Effective as Earthquake, so it has no down side. Another option is Pursuit>Ice Punch for Psychics like Latios and Latias, but that's completely optional.

On Keldeo I would change Hidden Power Ice to Icy Wind. Even if the base Power is Lower, you can use Icy Wind slow down faster Pokemon on the switch, such as Latios and Latias.

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm
- Ice Punch/Pursuit

Keldeo @ Choice Scarf

- Icey Wind
- Secret Sword
Good luck with the team, I hope this helped!

Hey dude,a pretty great team.As you said, ferrothorn and alakazam are trouble for your team.Like Erz and Creat0r said, running hammer arm over eq is a great choice. Also,I see that you don't have winning condition.Talonflame can replace conkeldurr, since keldeo kills all of bisharp, weavile and ttar.It also provides you with a wincon, and kills ferrothorn and m alakazam.Good luck!
Talonflame @ Sharp Beak

hi

This is a pretty decent build overall, but you should definitely run Talonflame > Conkeldurr. Right now you really don't like faster threats like Mega Alakazam and Serperior, especially the latter who can blow clean past your team itself. Talonflame helps with this problem through it's powerful priority and tt also gives you a wincondition, which you previously lacked. Conkeldurr may check Dark-types that your team doesn't really like, but Keldeo is a pretty solid way to check them already, but Keldeo is worn down fairly quickly, I recommend you use RestTalk Keldeo > Choice Scarf. Your team is already pretty fast and the addition of Talonflame only builds upon that fact. Restalk Keldeo gives you a much more stable check to likes of Dark-types so they would have a far harder time of breaking past it.

Choice Specs Raikou isn't very good in the current since it's very prediction reliant and being locked into one of it's moves is terrible. So instead you should use Calm Mind > Specs since Calm Mind gives you yet another wincondition and it reduces the prediction required with Choice Specs. Moving on, you should heed the early suggestion of Hammer Arm > Earthquake since it gives Metagross the capability to break past Ferrothorn instead of relying upon Talonflame and more shakily Keldeo to do so. Finally Landorus-T absolutely needs it's speed tier to still retain the ability to soften up threats it naturally outspeeds like Bisharp, you it gives a boost to thorugh Intimidate. So please change it's nature to Impish and replenish it's Speed IVs. You should run a spread of 240 HP / 232 Def / 36 SpD so you can tank a Draco Meteor from Latios without any prior damage.
Talonflame @ Sharp Beak

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Raikou @ Leftovers

Sup sup. (im kinda in a rush cuz i need to go to bed b4 my mom knows im awake so this might seem a bit rushed lol sorry! ill come back tmr too see if i missed anything)

Ok fist i noticed how you have a metagross + keldeo. Metagross is good to pursuit traps psyhic types for keldeo allowing keldeo to have an easier time to sweep. However the problem is that you dont have pursuit on metagross. So i suggest you run Pursuit over Ice Punch. Running Pursuit get rid of psychic types like latios and latias letting your keldeo have an easier time going threw teams. Getting rid of the latias and latios are generally nice as you dont really have a switch in.

Ok next up I noticed how you said conkeldurr was your main way to check dark types like weavile/bisharp. But you already have a keldeo to do that job of checking them. I also notice how your team is weak to grass types like serperior. This is why i suggest you run Sword Dance Wisp Talonflame over Conkeldurr. Talonflame gives you a way to hit grass types and can help you revenge kill. The reason why I suggest wisp is because wil-o-wisp can hit common switch ins like hippowdown/landorus-therian/garchomp. Burning them gives your metagross-mega an easier time to sweep as they will slowly be widdled and their attack are weakened by burn. This also helps versus your threat list of ferrothron as you can burn it and set up on it and alakazam as now you have speed control and priority with the ability gale wings to hit alakazam.

Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Will-O-Wisp

Pursuit>Ice Punch to let you get rid of psychic types for keldeo to sweep easier

helps with grass types like serperior and gives you priority

Thanks for the suggestions everybody! I tested the changes and they are all really good!
Here's the team after the changes!

I do have one question - for those of you that suggested Talonflame over Conkeldurr, why did you suggest Talonflame over other possible wincons?

Whatever that's an optional question I guess. Anyway, thanks for all of the support :D

EDIT: In the Pastebin, Keld still has a scarf. It should be life orb. Sorry!

-EQ on meta +Grass Knot for those annoying Hippos
Instead of conkeldur i would run magnezone to trap skarm and ferro 2 things that can kill your vibe.
