This is my second RMT post. And this time I am going to show you my 2015 VGC team. Lets head onto the team building process….
Details-
Garchomp (M) @ Choice Band
Level: 50
Trait: Rough Skin
EVs:4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd 124 HP / 44 Atk / 84 Def / 4 Sdef / 252 Spe
IVs: 4 SAtk
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
Ready to sweep the floor.Choice band garchomp is really threatening.Sylveon's maximum Sp.atk Hyper voice Has only 50% of KO. And HH Iron head can easily KO it.Choice band can neutralize the effects of Intimidate and makes my Garchomp sweep at any time.
Clefable (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Level: 50
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature(+Def,-Atk)
- Dazzling Gleam
- Helping Hand
- Protect
- Follow Me
Rediecting all those will-o-wisps and taking no damage from Sand.Helping hand boosts the Rock slides and Earthquakes. Dazzling gleam for a really dazzlingly gleamish attack that hits both opponents.Protect for Protecting against those Flash Cannons and Iron Heads.
Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Scarf
Level: 50
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 36 Atk / 220 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rock Slide
-Snarl / Dark pulse
- Ice Beam
- Fire Blast
Ice beam for Dragons and Sceptile. Rock slide is because it has chance of flinching and now that this thing is scarfed , very few pokemon can out speed it. Snarl or Dark pulse??? Which one Should I choose and Why?? Fire blast for Mawile and Aeigislashs ( although I may Ko them , I will be able to weaken them so that Garchomp KOs them). It is mixed so that those Salamences cant Intimidate me.
Heatran (F) @ Air Balloon
Level: 50
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 212 HP / 108 Def / 108 SDef / 80Atk SAtk
IVs: 0 Spd
Quiet Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Protect
- Heat Wave
- Flash Cannon
-Rock Slide Earth Power
Ev spread is bad. I know it. I am hoping that someone may be able to suggest a spread for mix heatran. Moveset is pretty standard (except for that rock slide, of course). Its Slow because my rest of the team is really fast and trick room can destroy my team.
Kangaskhan (F) @ Kangaskhanite
Level: 50
Trait: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Fake Out
- Sucker Punch
- Double-Edge
-Hammer Arm Low kick
Standard Kangaskhan. Adamant natured as it cant outspeed alot of new mega pokes.Confused between Hammer Arm or Power Up Punch... U say.
Arcanine (M) @ Sitrus Berry
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Intimidate
EVs:Not decided . Maybe u can help.....252 HP / 144 Def / 36 SpA / 16 SpD / 62 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Snarl
- Protect
-Leer Will-o-Wisps
-Overheat Flamethrower
Yes! I am actually using Leer on Arcanine.Surprised?? W-O-W because its better than Snarl. Snarl for lowering Sp.atk of both the opponents..Leer to do the same with Def....Overheat for those Mawiles that my Garchomp can't OHKO....Nothing much to say..
When I was thinking of a team that would suit my playstyle , the First pokemon that I thought of was…..
Garchomp- Since gen 4 Garchomp is my favorite pseudo legendary. Its base 102 speed lets it outspeed all non-scarfed pseudo legendary. 130 base attack hits really hard . And its unusually high 108 base Hp lets is survive lots of attacks(not super effective attacks).Since most of the new Megas are Physical attackers, it gets rough skin to punish those megas…
Then I needed something to help him on the field in case any fairy/ice type shows up.So….
Clefable- Cute, bulky and fairy. Average offenses and Average defenses. The only reason to choose Clefairy is to redirect attacks that would KO my Garchomp. It is the best support pokemon for my team. It is way better than Pachirisu . It has got better Hp, better Def and better suppport moves (Helping Hand).
Hmm...now my team was 33% complete.I also needed a Pokemon that could change the weather (to counter those Chlorophyll, Swift Swim and even Flower gift users).
Tyranitar- Theres nothing much to say about this guy...its just naturally bulky and powerful....
Now I have got weather , redirection and garchomp....what is left???Yes! Mega Pokemon.
Kangaskhan-I knew there wont be any Lopunny or Blaziken to counter this guy. And Mawile and Lucario would be handled easily by Garchomp. So I chose Kangaskhan!
What if my Tyranitar faints and it is still Sunny and they have got a Sun Sweeper out?? There comes my Heatran..
Heatran-Well...My Heatran is a bit different..it has Rock slide and its Quiet natured. Its because the standard Heatran WALLS sun teams not COUNTERS them.Every Sun team would have a Charizard for sure and a unexpected Rock Slide from a Heatran will be enough to make me win...
Wait! I dont have Intimidate Support??? What am I gonna do without it??....
Arcanine-Defensive Arcanine.For Intimidate and suport.Also walls Sun!
