With my experience playing UU, I've played anywhere from hyper-offensive, stall, balance, bulky offense, and to teams with just a stunfisk. Although I've only been playing competitively for a couple months now, I always had a love for Pokemon ever since I was little. It took me a while to come up with my own team that I believe is worthy enough to be posted on here. IMHO, the Pokemon in this team complements each other beautifully. The plays that you can make with this team are absolutely amazing and fuels me up with adrenaline. Since I am partially new, I am not quite sure what label to put on this team. I would say it falls between semi-stall and bulky offense. So anyways, I'll start off with my favorite Pokemon of all time. :)

~ Bubble Jet ~ Vaporeon
Item: Leftovers
Trait: Water absorb
Evs: 252 HP/ 4 SpD/ 252 Def
Bold Nature (+Def/-Atk)

- Scald
- Wish
- Protect
- Roar
I started off with Vaporeon first because I love it to death. Vaporeon is great for this team. It has a great HP stat, and can grant large wishes to its teammates. It is an amazing bulky water type and I highly recommend it. It is a great switch in on Suicune or any other water types. Using roar prevents the opponents team from setting up attack/speed boost on Cobalion, Doublade, Feraligtr, Lucario, Snorlax and many more. Roar is an amazing way to get rid of set up sweepers. Scald also gives a higher chance to burn the opponent, although getting a scald burn shouldn't be relied on.

~Happiness~ Blissey
Item: Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
Evs: 252HP/ 4 SpD/ 252Def
Bold Nature (+Def/-Atk)

- Seismic Toss
- Thunder wave
- Heal bell
- Soft-Boiled
If I could, I would give Blissey an endless amount of KUDOS for being the best special wall in UU. She can take special hits from any Pokemon. She completely eats up focus blast from Mega Sceptile and Aura sphere from Mega Blastoise and is an amazing support. Blissey can even take a hit from a few physical attackers such as Feraligtr, Sharpedo, and Entei. (As long as they don't have attack boosts) This allows Blissey to T-wave them if necessary. T-wave is also great because it can paralyze the counter that gets switched in on Blissey. Heal bell also allows heals statuses teammates.

~Iron Shield ~ Aggron (Mega)
Item: Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
Evs: 252HP/ 252 Def/ 4 SpD
Nature: Impish (+Def/-SpA)

- Heavy Slam
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Ice punch
Mega Aggron boasts a ridiculously high base of Def, making it a great switch in for physical attackers. She is a great counter for physical sweepers such as Salamence, Haxorus, Mega Beedrill and others. She can withstand attacks like close combat and other fighting moves (as long as they aren't special) and completely destroys fairy types such as Florges. Ice punch is a great move for Mega Aggron as it does a great deal of damage to Gligar, Salamence, Mega sceptile.

250px-207Gligar.png

~Fly Scorpion~ Gligar
Item: Eviolite
Ability: Hypercutter
Evs: 248 HP/ 8 Atk/ 252 Def
Nature: Impish (+Def/-SpA)

- Knock off
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Defog
Gligar's main function is for Defog and DEFOG ONLY DO NOT USE ANY OF ITS OTHER MOVES. But all jokes aside. Seriously, this pokemon is a great defogger and a counter for fighting types such as Lucario and Toxicroak. I love starting out with this pokemon because people assume that I have stealth rocks but I don't. I just use knock off first and usually knock off twice as they switch out. It is fun when the other person switches into Espeon predicting my stealth rock but then get pooped on as I knock off their item. Knock off is a great move especially for Rotom or Chandelure so you can prevent them from tricking Blissey later on.

salamence_by_faren916-d5ajy6x.png

~Dragon~ Salamence
Item: Choice Scarf

Ability: Moxie
Evs: 252 Atk/ 4 SpA/ 252 Spe
Nature: Hasty (+Spe/- SpD)

- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
Salamence is a great late game sweeper pokemon for this team. With his amazing speed and attack he is able to outspeed most pokemon and can kill them in one or two hits. Fire blast is good for steel types, Chesnaught and Whimsicott. Earthquake is good for Lucario, Toxicroak and fire types such as Chandelure.

happy_heracross_by_red_flare-d6wgg31.png

~Single Horn~ Heracross
Item: Choice band
Ability: Guts
Evs: 252 Atk/ 4 SpD/ 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)

- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Knock off
- Facade
Heracross is what makes this team so amazing. Heracross is so strong with its choiceband and if it is statused then it can one or two hit KO most pokemon. It is fun making predictions with Heracross, like going in on Milotics toxic or Jellicents will-o-wisp. What really makes me pumped is getting will-o-wisped by Arcanine or Rotom H. ( This play should only be made carefully ). Facade and knockoff is a great move for pokemon such as gligar, salamence, and crobat.

So that wraps up my team! This team is really great and the plays that can be made will keep you hooked :) If you have any suggestions or comments then please post them! I didn't go into much detail but if you have any advice on how this team could be better of if you wonder why I use a certain pokemon over another then just post and I'll get back with you! Also this is my first post so please go easy on me ^-^. Well thanks for taking the time to read this! Bye! <3 ~

Welcome to Smogon ^-^

This is looking like a great team with the main focus on use super bulky pokemon with Vaporeon to Wish support.
  • The team has no win condition most of the time. (No sweeper)
  • It doesn't get status out fast enough making it hard to properly stall things
  • Most sweepers with Substitute can abuse 4 out of 6 pokemon.
Everything that I suggest will be optional and may or may not make the team better.

373.png
Dragon Dance > Scarf the reason is so it allows a sweep to be executed when everything is worn down trying to deal with your walls. It is one of the best if not the best Dragon Dancer in the meta ATM. It has great coverage and doesn't need a whole lot to start sweeping.
aggron-mega.png
Roar > Earthquake
Since the team is weak to set up Mega Aggron can help disturb these threats thanks to that amazing bulk. Earthquake hits Fire types which you don't want to stay in on anyways or Doublade who can't touch you anyways.
Avalanche > Ice Punch Aggron is hardly ever going to go first and Avalanche is a bit more damage if they attack you so.
Physical Defense < Special Defense It allows Mega Aggron to take hits better from the special side since its Physical Defense is already almost at 500.

<
244.png
This helps status get spread status around allowing it other threats to either get crippled or aleve pressure of your walls. Also it doesn't get affected by burns, makes for a good revenge killer with ESpeed and has quite the good bulk.
242.png
Toxic > Thunder Wave Thunder Wave doesn't really do much for a slow team accept get the occasional hax but other than that Toxic helps to break down pokemon like Suicune and Florges.
Wish > Soft-Boiled The team is super bulky so being able to pretty much recover team mates to full is really amazing
Heal Bell < Protect Just because Wish is there.
207.png
Immunity > Hyper Cutter This makes it so Gligar can't get poisoned which can weaken it in sustainability.
Taunt > Knock Off? This one is tricky but Taunt stops users from setting up but Knock Off makes it easier to cripple threats for later game. I suppose you should test both out and see which one is better.

This change is a bit iffy because it does make you weak to Suicune and Substitute sweepers but it helps more in general having better Wish passes. It has Regenerator to regain health over time and it makes Alomomola a great pivot.

Well that is all for now except that a pastebin should be included so people that want to play this team can easily import it.

And here is a team with all the changes I made

Hello SniperGirl welcome to the Smogom Forum Community!!

Honestly I love your team and all its' bulk mons. This team looks really thought out. I will just offer a couple minor changes.
salamence-2.gif

Salamence:
Change the Choice Scarf into either a Lum Berry or a Life Orb
If you go the Lum Berry path, you should also switch out Outrage into Dragon Dance. This will make Salamence a setup sweeper which i believe is better in this scenario as it can catch people off guard. Also since you are running a sort of mixed set of Salamence, it would give better opportunities as you will be able to predict some switched whereas with the Choice Scarf set weren't as flexible.

aggron-mega.gif

Mega Aggron:
Agree with the changes Slender has said

Maybe change Earthquake to Toxic as it allows you to whittle down bulky mons your Salamence and Heracross have hard time breaking.

heracross.gif

Heracross:
Change the Choice Band into a Choice Scarf. This will make your Heracross much more faster in exchange for some of the excess power it would have with Choice Band. The Guts+Facade boost with Heracross is probably enough power to put dents into walls and kill the glass cannons. Also you should change Knock Off into Stone Edge since you already have that coverage on the Gligar and you need the rock coverage just in case a flying type or fire type switches in.

These are the changes i could muster up. I think you should keep the Gligar set as it is. Remember you don't have to take my advice exactly(or at all). But if you do some changes to you team pertaining to any of the changes I or Slender have mentioned, please tell us your results!

Hope you have great success! :)

Hello Snipergirl and wellcome to smogon, hope you enjoy your time here :)
As Slay wisely pointed out, your team hasn't got really a win condition, at least none for a semi-stall team; Choice Scarf Salamence is a cleaner far more suited for offensive teams, which may worn down the team quickly enough so this set can be well exploited and only brought in the time you need it. A more pro-active set for mence could be used, something more like this:
373.png
Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage / Dragon Claw
- Fire Blast
- Roost / Earthquake
I would suggest Life Orb over Lum Berry here because, while being able to set up on status users is very cool, your team has a cleric, and, especially if you decide to use Roost, you can send in Salamence many times to check physical attackers that Aggron would have difficulty to come in (Fighting-types). Note, Aggron has no recovery so, ultimately, it is not good to send it to super effective stuff most cases. Also, your team has got no guarantees to deal with Infernape (even Vaporeon can get 2HKOed) but this Mence set will give you far more safety around it, especially with Roost. Note that Life Orb Outrage also 2HKOes Cune, which may come in handy. Without Earthquake, you're basically missing Empoleon, as, for example, Lucario you already OHKO with Fire Blast, and Empoleon is already dealt with nicely by Heracross and Blissey, although Roar is annoying.
Now on Mega Aggron, I think we can change one thing or two here;
latest
Aggron @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Heavy Slam
- Ice Punch
Here I'm just picking the in-site spread, as it is enough to survive already a bunch of hits from physical attackers, including avoiding the 2HKO from Choice Band Eq Krookodile. Trust me, the investment on Special Defense may allow you to sometimes stay on powerful Special attackers and bring them down! Roar can still be used over Toxic here, but, in my opinion, Vaporeon for phazing is far enough, while Toxic allows Aggron to slowly worn down opposing walls. Ice Punch is much needed, as your team will have difficulties against Salamance without it. Or, if you plan to run Roar, run Earthquake instead of Ice Punch. Up to the last mon we have...
214.png

Heracross @ Choice Band
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge
From all the fast threats, I can't remind of only that your team has like, absolutely no way to deal with, so I would say keep Choice Band, as it is one of the most difficult thing to switch in on in the UU metagame, and will very easily break walls that may come in Salamence's way. Just run Stone Edge in order to hit opposing Salamence and Crobat, as Facade is kinda too situational imo.
That's all I have to you for now, please, tell me what have you found about changes and test it ;)[/HIDE]
