RMT or I'll shoot your chihuahua in the face

Trying to think of some punchline for my title but no dice. Such is the creativity level of nagai of late.

Anyways, now that you're here you should really rate my team. Heck, It'll be rude not to, like going to someone's house and not stealing their soap. Back from a mini break so I'm a bit behind on the metagame. I'm a bit confused as to why a few pokes are at where they are but that's ok, not everyone's a genius. I made a new team so any advice would be welcome.

Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Explosion
- U-turn
---

Pretty standard lead. I don't usually use specialist leads, but I decided to step out my comfort zone a bit. I initially put u-turn here for the T-tars, but I forgot that u-turn doesn't do much against pursuit. Might just replace it with psychic or grass knot. His job is obviously just to set up rocks, after that, he's just fodder really. Taunt's a must on this thing because I don't want my opponent setting up rocks early in the game. I have 2 flyers, including mence which I built this team around (kinda), so SR would hurt.

Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 84 Atk/208 Spd/216 SAtk
Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
---

Yep, the star of the show. The set looked pretty good when raikoulover first introduced it to me on my last RMT, now it's running rampant. Not much to say really. 2HKO's almost everything in the game. I plan to break this out mid-late game to wear my opponent's defenses down. This is an offensive team afterall.

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Heat Wave
- Discharge
- Roost
- Hidden Power [Ice]
---

After I put heatran, azelf and mence on my team I saw how many pokes I was weak to, so I brought in this thing as an all round counter. Seriously counters half the threats in the game as long as there's no SR. I have discharge over t-bolt to spread paralysis, but that's still under testing. Might replace HP ice with something like toxic, though Hp ice has worked pretty well thus far.

Breloom (M) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 44 HP/252 Atk/214 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Seed Bomb
- Focus Punch
- Spore
- Substitute
---

Since this is an offensive team, I figured it'll be silly to build and play it too defensively. I figured, if I could blow a poke up with azelf and put another one asleep, the floodgates are pretty much wide open for a sweep. Since my opponents often sacrifice one of their walls to tae the sleep, that's another defence against SR (hippow, swampert gliscor... etc.). Breloom is the perfect fit as it just does that as well as counter T-tar and swampert.

Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Explosion
---

Boring, Boring, my penis is falling. Argh, I don't care, I've been using scarftran before it was no.1. This team lacks speed so a scarfer's nice. Heck, I think every team should have a scarfer or 2 (yes, it's good to have more than 1). I could put flamethrower over fire blast but I'm too lazy to do damage calcs :nerd:. Explosion's just a filler, but at least it's a good one.

Snorlax (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Return
- Superpower
- Fire Punch
- Sleep Talk
---

My boy! This guy has to be one of my favourite pokes. Takes special attacks like a beast, thick fat to help the cause and absolutely slaughters in return. Sleep talk's there just in case I need it (loom and azelf can put me up ahead pretty early in the game so I don't always need a sleep talker). Superpower and fire punch so I can hit every steel in the game for SE. It HURTS taking a hit from him.

Well, that's it guys. A few weaknesses here and there, but I hope it's not too bad.

edit: Lax now has pursuit over sleep talk

I used an edited version of your team for my own purposes (1 pokemon change, 1 moveset + ev change and 2 ev changes, heh I like customising teams) and I must say that I'm in love with it. An issue for you is mixed Infernape though, which I found actually 2HKOes Zapdos even with Flamethrower. Although I haven't tested this yet, maybe run a bulky Gyarados in Zapdos' slot. You have Breloom and Snorlax who already defeat bulky waters (and with Dragon Dance + Rest/Sleep Talk you defeat all bulky waters barring Vaporeon, Lapras and Poliwrath), whilst you still have a counter to Scizor and the like. It also gives you yet another way to defeat stall easily. I will edit this post with an optimal ev spread later on. Another suggestion is to use Pursuit or SelfDestruct over Sleep Talk on Snorlax. Now I use SelfDestruct cause I actually have a chance of OHKOing Skarmory and can blow a whole in any non-ghost, but Pursuit can help you with said ghosts as your team really doesn't like Gengar, up to personal preference.

All in all a sweet team, it has helped rekindle my love for pokemon battling and teambuilding in general when I thought nothing would so kudos for that.

PS - I may also try and come up with a better Zapdos spread if you are hell bent on keeping it.

Regarding the switch of Zapdos to Gyarados, I might have to disagree. It seems that a Gyarados that gets in a DD (which might be inevitable since it can easily come in on Heatran) can put the hurt on your team ( your Snorlax dies if SR is up) Breloom is the closest thing to a counter but of course Ice Fang will decimate it. Zapdos provides a bit more insurance against Gyarados that don't run Stone Edge (which might be so if it is already running Ice Fang). If you switch to RestTalk Gyara I suggest for you to at least keep Stone Edge > Dragon Dance.
Other than that, the team seems to counter most other common threats!

Yep, I need zappy as my gyara counter. Man that thing hurts.

I'm glad you guys like it, especially you MS. I feel all mushy and shit :D.

Out of curiosity, what else did you change on your version, MS? I changed sleep talk to pursuit and so far it's been working fine. What EV's did you change? Did you keep u-turn on azelf?

You have a pretty nasty weakness to Jolly Ice Punch Lucario. Making Zapdos Timid and giving 176 Speed EVs would really help with this.

Other than that, this is a great team. I really like it. Good job.

on your sala max speed is very helpful, i reccomend this spread
naive-252 spe, 240 sp.a, 16 att.
with this spread you hit bliss on the switch, then ko with outrage with stealth rock support
hope i helped-bs69

Alright - you asked for a rate tonight so here goes. I'm not sure if this will useful or not but meh.

Okay, you said you had some massive problems with DD Tar and you really disliked that big weak. A simple soloution would be to slap a Machamp over Breloom and call it a day since Machamp covers Tar pretty well, hits hard, has an ice neutrality and hits rather hard. However, Machamp lacks a sleep move and you also lose a vialbe switchin to bulky waters (This might not bother you too much as you're got both Zapdos and Snorlax which work as effective checks although Lax gets worn down easily and Zapdos is taking on everything else literally, so hmmm). Swampert also becomes more of an issue too as your other answers to bulky waters have trouble taking him on.

Okay, we want a check to DD Tar, Swampert, ideally packs a sleep move and lacks an ice weak.

To fix these problems, we could be really weird and chuck a Poliwrath over Breloom. This gives you a better answer to Tar while still providing a sleep move (albiet an inaccurate one). Poliwrath also can handle Gyarados relatively well if Zapdos happens to bite the bullet too soon. The main problem with Wrath is finding an ideal moveset - the defensive set would work but seems out of place in such an offensive team. You could go with a Sub Punch version, although that leaves Poliwrath without a way to hurt Tar quickly since Focus Punch is a clumsy move to work with if Poliwrath ever has to switch in on Tar. BB could work over Hypnosis if you find it too inaccuarate though.

Hopefully my rate has been somewhat useful =0!
