Team building process:
Okay, so i was looking for a fun team to use, and thought of a stragety to pull off an empoleon sweep. Toxic Spikes are a great form of support to Empoleon, so i chose to use them. I decided i'd use Roserade.
407.png

Now, i needed a spin blocker to make sure toxic spikes would always be and stay up. Rotom-H came to mind, because of his (its? idk lol) defensive stats and crippling abilities.
407.png
499.png

At this point, i had two special attackers, Rotom-H being physically defensive, so I had to look out for Blissey and other specially bulky pokés. I needed a fast physical revenge killer, preferably Scarfed. Heracross happened.

Seeing my team was weak to fire-type moves, from Heatran for example, i needed something to set up SR as well as be a good Heatran "counter". I decided to use a Swampert, because of his good typing and excellent stats. Also, he could set up SR fairly easy, since almost no attacks wil OHKO this baby. He is the core. He is what glues the team together. He is the phazer, he is the anti-sweeper. To the moment he dies from an unexpected Grass Knot, he screws around with the opponents team.

I noticed that my team lacks offense. This combination of wall-ish pokemon blew holes in the opponents team, which is perfect for a sweeper to set up on. I needed a sweeper that benefitted from the Toxic Spikes, which were almost certain to get up by my Roserade. SD Infernape seemed like a right choice.

The last poke is obvious. Empoleon was the poke the team was build around, so he took the 6th spot.

After doing some battles with the team, i noticed that Roserade wasnt as good as i thought she would be. Often, she just died, or missed Sleep Powder three times in a row. I needed a lead that was more trustworthy on being a good lead. I was looking around on YouTube and Smogon and i found an interesting set. This set was made my iRosstein, all credit goes to him. This Jirachi of his is extremely helpful to the team, as it lacks Wish-support/Recovery. I'll go In-Dept on the set later.

However, now that the Toxic Spikes were gone, Empoleon became pretty useless. He was unable to sweep teams, and I was better off without him. I changed him into Latias, because, well, I needed special offense as well as type coverage. Here we go:

This may seem like a decent team, but after trying it out a couple of times, i noticed that Infernape just lacked defense, and that he was killed pretty quickly every battle, just because Close Combat's defensive drops didnt quite help me in my sweep. I need something with more bulk, more power and more speed. I chose Feraligatr. This may seem weird, but i prefer this baby over Gyara. I'm not using DD Feraligatr, no, Gyara is way better than Feraligatr in DD'ing. The one thing that sets Feraligatr apart from Gyara is Aqua Jet. Aqua Jet+Swords Dance+Torrent can be a pretty deadly combo. I've caught many enemies off guard with this guy. He is my deadliest sweeper.

However, after doing about 10 battles, I found myself being swept by Lucario. SD Luke could just set up on Heracross, and sweep. I needed to stop this. SD Lucario is a powerful late-game sweeper, and if my opponent doesn't bring it out in early/mid-game, Swampert will be dead by the time Lucario has SD'd. I looked on the Lucario page in the Smogon stragety Pokédex, and decided to bring in Feraligatr's "OU Form" as they call it. Gyarados, with Intimidate and solid defenses was a good substitute for Feraligatr, since I can't miss any of the other members of my team.

In-Depth:
The Defensive Lead:
385.png

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Impish Nature
EV's:
252 HP, 160 SpD
60 Def, 38 Spe
Ability: Serene Grace
Moves:
-Iron Head
-Stealth Rock
-Wish
-Thunder Wave
This may seem like a strange set, but let me explain.
Stealth Rock is obvious. SR is the most helpful entry hazard move there is. Simple as that. Thunder Wave is for crippling fast sweepers that threaten Feraligatr's or Heracross's sweep. Wish is for supporting, and Iron head is for Flinch/Para Haxing things to death. Iron Head + Serene Grace is a 60% chance of flinch. Paralyzation is 30% to not be able to move.
This Jirachi is supporting the defensive side of my team, Rotom and Swampert, since they don't have recovery moves of their own. The given EV's give him 276 both Defense and Special Defense. That, bundled with a massive 404 HP gives Jirachi abnormal survivability.

The Physical Crippler:
499.png

Rotom-Heat @ Leftovers
Bold Nature
EV's:
252 HP, 168 Def, 88 Spe
Ability: Levitate
Moves:
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-Overheat
-Will-o-Wisp
Standard Smogon set. My answer to Gyara. My answer to pretty much any physical attacker that doesnt have Guts. Cripple them with WoW, then slowly killing with either Thunderbolt or Shadow Ball. Overheat is for the likes of Scizor, who is the #1 OU right now, with a usage of 30% (of all teams, 30% has a Scizor)(in OU). Scizor can't hurt Rotom. The standard set with Bullet Punch, X-Scissor, Superpower and Pursuit don't damage Rotom at all. Especially the SD ones are easy to counter. For the EV's, max HP, 88 Spe to outspeed max speed Adamant Scizor, rest in Def for bulk.

The Revenge Killer:
214.png

Heracross @ Choice Scarf
Adamant Nature
EV's:
252 Att, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Moves:
-Close Combat
-Megahorn
-Stone edge
-Nightslash
One of the best CS users in the game. Powerful STAB moves Close Combat and Megahorn are tearing things apart with 120 base power. Stone Edge and Night Slash for coverage. Usually, i bring Heracross in earlygame, to scout if the opponent has any physical walls. If he does, i start killing them with either Heracross (believe me, he can kill dusknoir with Night slash after a while) or just stalling with Swampert or Rotom. I want to make sure that nothing stands in either Feraligatr's or Heracross's way during their sweep. Because, even though Heracross is Scarfed, in late-game, when the opponents' team is weakened, he will sweep with CC.

The Physical Tank/Phazer:
260.png

Swampert @ Leftovers
Relaxed Nature
EV's:
252 HP, 252 Def, 4 SpD
Moves:
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Earthquake
-Roar
Aha, Swampert. "Lolz, you use the lead set in mid-game." Yes i do. And to be honest, it has worked out better for me than as a lead, because of his desperate speed, and the amount of Taunting leads out there. Swampert is there for the safe switch. To make sure the opponent doesnt cripple Hera or Feraligatr with a T-Wave. To dispose of any defensive threats. To dispose of any offensive threats. Nobody can touch him, as long as they don't have Grass Knot. He stays in until he dies. Simple as that. After screwing with the opponent a little bit with Roar, and here and there dealing some damage to walls, he usually dies to a Grass Knot.

The Special Sweeper:
380.png

Latias @ Choice Specs
Timid Nature
Ev's:
252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Moves:
-Draco Meteor
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-Trick
Again, standard Smogon set. Latias is, to be honest, usually just filler, or for Tricking a Choice Specs onto Blissey or another wall. Most of the time, i bring her in when the opponent has killed one of my pokes, and I feel like Draco Meteoring. Specs'd Draco Meteor does a load of damage to whatever the opponent switches, and I can score a OHKO or a 2HKO. Surf and Thunderbolt are filler moves.

The Absolute Sweeper:
130.png

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Adamant Nature
EV's:
252 Att, 176 Spe, 76 HP
Moves:
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake

Okay, so I decided to swap Feraligatr for Gyarados, because i noticed my team was very SD Lucario-weak, and since Luke is an often used Pokémon, i needed a counter. Feraligatr still is better, with SD+Aqua Jet, but DD Gyara just fits the team better. I'm probably gonna make some kind of Feraligatr-based team in the future, but for now, I'll try this.
EV spread. Max att, for maximum power. 383 Attack is not something to laugh at. 176 Speed EV's give Gyara 242 Speed, which lets him outspeed Starmie and other (are there other?) 120 base speed positively natured pokes. The rest goes into HP to provide bulk.

This was the first RMT i've ever made, please bare with me if you found it boring or uninteresting.
Rates and Suggestions are very much appreciated.
Thank You, Maxifichter is signing off.

?

i designed the team w/o jirachi. He wasnt supposed to be in the team.
Then, i changed swampert's moveset around, removing SR, since i really needed surf

and about that jirachi of yours, its EV's dont add up to 510 >.>
also, i wouldnt like to rely on psychic, since dark-types are immune to it

Hey maxi nice team

i would use uturn> thunder wave mainly for scouting purposes but also the fact that it makes wish passing much easier. also breaks the sashes of pokemon.

Also i see that your team is very SD lucario weak. After a SD, i can see your team very likely getting swept by it. in order to fix this weak i can suggest:

RestTalk Gyrados
Leftovers Impish
Moveset EVs
~ Waterfall
~ Stone Edge /Roar/ Avalanche / Dragon Dance
~ Rest
~ Sleep Talk

Counters lucario easily and also is an excellent wall. with it being a rest talker it can also absorb status's that would normally be problematic to your team. I dont think the replacment would really damage u synergy wise because u have latias and rotom to absorb electric attacks

Once again nice team, Hope i helped :)

Thanks Near (im just gonna call u Near) and yea, the one loss ive had so far with this team was due to a Luke sweep.
I like ur suggestion of resttalk gyara, but who do I repace?
i feel like my team cant miss any of the members.
also, whats a good EV spread for resttalk gyara? Or is it a smogon set?

i was thinking replacing it for swampert, they're both bulky waters and gyrados can roar if you want. most resttalk gyrados's are 252 hp 252 def 4 attk but theres other variations

but the change you made seems to be good if not better as well nicejob. the reason i didnt suggest it is b/c the way you talked about freligtr it seemed u didnt want to replace him

Lol. Yeah, i decided to replace feraligatr after all
the thing is, i posted this RMT on the Serebii forums as well.
With all the suggestions I've gotten, i ended up with two differrnt teams lol.
1st one is above, in the second one i replaced rotom for scizor and heracross for resttalk machamp
