ORAS UU RMT---Partial Rain

I see a lot of posts where a team is "focused" around a specific mega or a strong pokemon. This is not the case with my team. I tried to make a balanced team---a few sweepers, 2 tanks, and a mega. I think I did ok, but I would really like some advice on how to improve this.
Without further ado, a team I like to call Partial Rain!!!

Swampert @ Swampertite
Ability: Damp
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rain Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

Swampert is the mega/raindance user/sweeper pokemon. he is versatile, popular, and a bit tanky. I chose him to balance out a few of the weakness i had on the team as well as provide some nice raindance support. His mega's ability, swift swim, is imperative to use as without it, he is just average speed, if a bit lower. With it, however, he outspeeds almost all of the unboosted meta. The move set is pretty obvious. 2 STAB moves and ice punch for coverage. He balances out electric types and hits neutral or super effective on many pokemon, including the pesky grass/dragon mega that we all know and love.

Kingdra @ Scope Lens
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
Timid Nature
- Focus Energy
- Draco Meteor
- Scald
- Ice Beam

I chose Kingdra for a few reasons: 1. Its badass 2. It has decent stats 3. The thought of a Kindgra "getting pumped" hypes me up. Focus energy kingdra is one of the scariest, if rarely used, pokemon in the meta. getting a 100% crit draco meteor with no sp. attack drop is insane, but with its ability, Sniper, it wrecks EVERYTHING. I debated a long time whether to use Swift Swim to help with speed or Sniper to help with damage, and its a bit more of a personal preference than anything as Kindra has decent defenses and with a focus energy up it can sweep 2-3 pokes with some luck. It also gets Rain Dance for its scald, which is nice. Ice beam is for coverage.

Darmanitan @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Flare Blitz
- Superpower

Darmanitan is what holds this team together. With an amazing move set and (really really really) awesome attack/speed stats, it handles Grass types that get past Swampert, Psychic types that get past Snorlax, Normal types cuz they're boring, and all 5 Types that earthquake can annihilate with no help. I really like Darmanitan, primarily because it is a giant furball/monkey/fire demon that can kill anything. Oh, and his scarf makes him faster than most of the meta.

Snorlax @ Assault Vest
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Body Slam/Return
- Heavy Slam/Crunch
- Earthquake/Crunch
- Fire Punch/Crunch

I have heard a lot of great things about stall-Snorlax, but I prefer CrunchLax because of its insane coverage, bulkiness, and the fact that it is the speediest demon in the entire game, let alone metagame. Seriously, this thing is awesome. Snorlax is my sp. defense tank on the team. Body slam is an insane STAB move. Return is there for more damage, slam for parahax. heavy slam is on him for fairies, but I don't have a bunch of fairy weaknesses so I can normally survive with just nuetral coverage. Earthquake and Fire punch are for coverage, but if I had my way, I would put all his moves to be crunch, give him a choice band, and watch him wreck mega-alakazam right in its spoons.

Forretress @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Volt Switch
- Gyro Ball

Forretress is the spinblocker phys. support on the team. His 4x fire weakness sucks, but I don't really care because of the rest of my team. His moveset is all about getting traps in and out as well as hitting water/flying supereffective with volt switch and fairy supereffective with gyro ball. I'm not that big of a fan of Forretress but his moveset/stats are really good.

Alakazam @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Calm Mind

Everyone knows alakazam. He's awesome. An alternet set would be a choice scarf, but I prefer damage. He has great coverage and insane damage especially with life orb/calm mind. He is a glass canon, but a good one. Shadow ball and Dazzling gleam are for coverage, and psyshock is an insane STAB move that I love.

So that's my team. I think I followed all the guidlines, so try not to lock my threat please!

Hi,

I have a few suggestion but nothing too major.

1. Your current ev spread does not maximize its capabilities. It should be running as much power as possible and needs to be as bulky as possible. However, it still needs enough speed to outspeed after the rain when its in sweep mode. The set I've given runs Adamant over Jolly and runs max attack evs and only 176 speed evs with the rest in hp. This gives you the most bang for your buck as it keeps its bulk while also outspeeding the likes of Mega-Aerodactyl, Mega-Beedril and others.
Swampert @ Swampertite
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rain Dance
- Waterfall
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake

2. On Snorlax use Crunch > Heavy Slam and you should be fine. He doesn't really need the Heavy Slam and swampert can deal with most of the fairies like florges anyway.

3. This is more preference but I would recommend Focus Sash > Life Orb. This allows it to revenge kill easier considering its frailty. Also, Energy Ball > Calm Mind. Alakazam is too frail to use a calm mind set well in my opinion. Furthermore, Energy ball lets you hit opposing swamperts and other water types.

This was a good team and I hope my suggestions are useful.

Thanks for the help. I think the energy ball setup will work as well, and I'm going to use it for coverage.

I don't see how Snorlax fits on this team, you dont have any trouble with what Snorlax is supposed to switch into/check and that entire set is pretty inefficient to begin with. Basically a wasted slot.
It also baffles me that you're not using LO Swift Swim Kingdra on a Mega Swampert team, Critdra is a pretty mediocre gimmick to begin with and having an extra Rain setter and wallbreaker is really nice.

Aside from that, I think a Rain Dance Tornadus over Snorlax would be really beneficial to your team, it makes a fantastic offensive partner for Kingdra and Swampert, checks Fighting types, has Prankster Rain Dance and gives your team more Speed outside of the Rain.

Alakazam also doesn't do a whole lot for your team, and right now you get massacred by bulky Water types, I actually think Toxicroak works very well on this team to deter and set up on the most common Water types in the tier, and also helps you immensely against Blissey.

The rest of the team looks ok, not sure about Darmanitan though but I can't think of a good replacement and I suppose the Fire coverage is nice since even in the Rain Darmanitan will still annihilate what it needs to, and you get a decent Revenge Killer outside of the Rain out of it.
