RMT pls a really weird rain dance team

I have been trying some new types of team and came upon this. I thought I would try out a dain dance team and ended up with weird results(other than the fact that most of em are blue)

The main point of constructing such a team was to be able to fight really well in the rain and and function outside of it. It works well considering half my team is resistant to sandstorm and that cloaking in rain dance helps with the common weakness of fire.

Bronzong @ Lum Berry
dpmfb437.png

Levitate Relaxed nature
252Hp 200def 56SpD
-Hypnosis
-Stealth Rock
-Rain Dance
-Explosion

Bronzong is a nice and somewhat standard starter for a rain dance team. Hypnosis allows me to let the rain start and setup stealth rock. Then Bronzong can pull of a kamekazi with explosion and leave the rest to the other members. Lum berry is to fight off those sleep inducing leads.

Salamence @ Choice Specs
dpmfb373.png

Intimidate Modest nature/Timid?
252SpA 252 Speed 4Hp
-Draco Meteor
-Dragon Pulse
-Fire Blast
-Hydro Pump

A typical specsmence. He does a good job at sweeping as well and hydro pump gives a nice boost if the rains out. Even without it he can do very nice special sweeping. Considering he is one of my two only fast pokemon I am considering running a timid nature.

Registeel @ leftovers
dpmfb379.png

Clear Body Relaxed Nature
252 Hp 56Def 200SpD
-Earthquake
-Thunder
-Thunderwave/Rain Dance
-Explosion

Another pokemon that is great but negelected like Glaceon. This thing is simply just a beastly wall. Earthquake and thunder are for strong super effective hits(thnder gets a nice bonus from rain dance). The evs are spread so that it can equally take hits from both sides of the spectrum. Explosion is for when he has done his share of the work. I am not sure wether I should go for the staus induction or make him another reliability for rain dance.

Swampert@ leftovers/damp rock?
dpmfb260.png

Torrent Adamant nature
252Hp 200Def 56Att
-Stealth Rock/Mirror Coat?
-Rain dance
-Waterfall
-Earthquake

This guy is another key rain dancer and the only actual water pokemon. The att evs are to help him deliver a stronger hit. Waterfall recieves STAB and a possible bonus from rain dance. Earthquake is also for the STAB. I am stuck between stealth rock and mirror coat. Mirror coat makes use of his Hp and stealth rock is good for a setup. Also I can't decide between a damp rock and leftovers.

Vaporeon @ leftovers(new)
134.png

Water Absorb Bold nature
252Def 68SpA 188Hp
-Ice Beam
-Surf
-Wish
-Yawn

This was the closest I could get to the beloved Glaceon lol. He does make for a great wish passer. Ice beam is to cover common dragons and surf for STAB and rain dance. I didn't really feel that Gyrados is much of a threat to this team so I put yawn for phazing. He has decent SpA and is a great wall.

Kingdra @ life orb(new)
230.png

Swift Swim Naughty nature
168 Att 252SpA 88Spe
-Yawn/Dragon dance?
-Draco Meteor
-Waterfall
-Hydro Pump

After hearing how swift swim pokes are apparently an essential to rain dance teams I chose Kingdra. This way I don't have too many weaknesses to one thing. Since I have 2 rain dancers, that gives Kingdra an extra slot to make himself more devastating. I am stuck between yawn and dd. Life orb is for the extra power. Hydro pump is a power over accuracy trade. Draco meteor for the possible 0hKos. He makes for a good mixed sweeper.

Thanks for the help. I hope the changes helped make a solid team. Still, there might be room for more improvement so don't be shy to post.

This is certainly different.

Starting from top to bottom as I have no idea where TO start, Bronzong wants more Special Defense since common attacks that can OHKO it are Fire Blast and Flamethrower et cetera. I would also advise using Damp Rock to keep up the rain for longer seeing as you don't have many rain inducers.

Something that is really bothering me is Glaceon being in there. Not only is it random, many water types does a better job at what it is attempting. That isn't the only advantage they have. Water types can obviously abuse Rain Dance much better as they get boosted water attacks. I would say replacing Glaceon for Vaporeon. Vaporeon can assist your team by countering Gyarados once Bronzong is gone. It also does Wish passing much better than Glaceon with its impressive base HP.

Electivire is a waste in this team. Absolutely no other pokemon in your party are weak to Electric attack so how often do you think your opponent would spam it? You're right. Not much. With this being said, I really think you should focus with the Rain Dance theme by putting some Swift Swimmers. Even if you don't like swift swimmers, you can add something that can abuse the rain but is also a set-up bait for Electivire. Basically, Gyarados.

For your Electivire, it should be adamant in nature as it needs more power than outspeeding, especially with Motor Drive for an ability. While speaking about Electivire, even though physical attacker is the 'way to go', it isn't the best option. MixVire does a better job at wall-breaking and sweeping simply because it can hit both side of the spectrum.

This is quite an abnormal team. I think you should stick with the Rain Dance theme a little more for it to work, however, good luck.

You're just wasting the rain you're summoning if you don't have at least one Swift Swimmer. Come on, you need to have a Kingdra/Ludilicolo/Kabutops/Omystar/Floatzel on a rain team. I see no reason why you have Glaceon, as it's better suited for Hail, Electivire, as you have no Electric weaks, or Salamence who has a fire attacks. Swampert has no business using Waterfall and should be using Surf. You also don't need two Stealth Rockers, use Ice Beam over SR. Use search and take a look at Rain Teams of old.

Let's try to rebuild this team a little bit. For this, we're going to keep Bronzong, Swampert and Electivire.

It's preferable if we slap Hypnosis and Rain Dance as well as Stealth Rocks and either Gyro Ball or Explosion on it. This will let you start off the match in your favor as you can pick whatever the hell way you want to go.

As for Swampert, this will be your secondary Rain Dancer. I'd also slap Roar on this to serve as a phazer in case random things try to stat up in front of you and you have no defense against it.

Electivire is such a hit and run Poke so it's alright if we slap Thunder on it as its Electric move.

As for the remaining slots. I'd add the Gyarados over Salamence. Gyarados can Dragon Dance, and should Rain still be up, Waterfall is doing to do a shitload. Gyarados is also more sturdy and should help out with Heracross as well.

Next, I'd add one of the aforementioned sweepers everyones been bitching about. I hear Kingdra is a good Poke to slap in on there. You have 2 Rain Dancers, some field hazards and sweepers. Let's add that here to give you even more offensive fire power.

So with your team now as Bronzong, Swampert, Gyarados, Electivire and Kingdra, it seems solid enough as the foundation for you to actually KEEP Registeel. Registeel in conjunction with Gyarados should keep Heracross guessing just a little bit. Granted other Stealth Rocks could hurt this but the team should be too fast paced for this to matter much. I'd just add Explosion on Registeel, maybe Ice Punch to keep Garchomp from free switch in's and just use it as a general special wall until you have to blow it up.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I guess Glaceon was mostly there cause i like it and I felt it was a bit unappreciated but that that's not a real reason to keep it so I guess I can put Vaporeon over it. Sorry Aeroblacktyl I can see what your'e saying but the problem would be that I would lack on special attack power. I am considering a mixed Kingdra with something other than rain dance. Atleast my Hera weakness won't be that big. Any more suggestions? I think I could use a little more advice/insight. Thank you.
