Hey, today I post a team with which I have reached 1200 on the Main Server of PO (not so much, but I've never been very good at handling the ladder, first of all because I'm not at all a strong battler, but also for the factors that led to a metagame where Luck> Skill). Well... Good reading and good rate! I don't put Building Phase, as the team is not based on a clear strategy then, I followed a Threat that you find below, even if the team is very weak to Greninja with HP Fire.
Analysis:
The (Landorus-T) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 204 HP / 252 Def / 52 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- U-turn
Landorus... Everybody know him. He has the lead role for setting the SR. The evs are placed so he is able to be more Bulky possible. Impish Nature and Rocky Helmet, for it to become even stronger and inflict damage just the opponent uses a physical move. Knock Off, because there are a lot of annoying Pokemon with a certain item (See Eviolite Chansey). U-Turn, he ever has that, I do not have to explain why.
Saiyans (Manectric) (M) @ Manectite
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Lightningrod
EVs: 40 HP / 252 SAtk / 216 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch
- Flamethrower
Manectric...My mega evolution. A true monster, can enter for revengekill, or even for take Electro Move that raise +1 in Special Attack before the MegaEvo. With the Mega evolution receives Intimidate, which decreases opponent's Attack...Very effective. Besides, he has an high Speed stat. Its main STAB are Thunderbolt, Volt Switch to do Momentum and Intimidate Volturn between him and Landorus, Overheat I think maybe to replace it with Flamethrower, you lose a little base power but at least do not decrease the Special Attack two stages, I need to rid off Ferrothorn, Steel, Grass and various. Hidden Power Ice for various Landorus and dragons.
Are a (Talonflame) (M) @ Choice Band
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Tailwind
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
Talonflame is the third and last member of the initial core. He is a very useful Pokemon for a metagame focused on priority moves,.In this case he has priority Brave Bird, who get an additional bonus with the Choice Band. The evs, the priority and nature make it a very formidable Pokemon. Flare Blitz and contributes as STAB U-Turn do Momentum as Manectric and Landorus.
True (Ferrothorn) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Protect
- Thunder Wave
Ferrothorn...No, you do not put them in the case, is to increase the power of the team. He seems like a useless Pokemon regarding the offensive, but with this set becomes destructive. Basically you have to throw it in the opponent's face a Thunder Wave, then use Leech Seed. If the opponet have a Pokemon that can counterare Ferrothorn, I switch out, otherwise I leave them to spam Gyro Ball. I also needed a little help against Rotom, although I have to be careful to not let me burning. But not only with Rotom need, but also with many Water Pokemon fast revengekill suitable, since it can safely take the attacks.
Warrior (Keldeo-R) @ Choice Specs
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Secret Sword
- Scald
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Flying]
The team finished with Keldeo and Latias. Keldeo is made to counter the annoying Bisharp, if it is attracted by a Defog, then Keldeo Hippowdon system, which can be annoying wallare and then for the whole team. In the rest do not use it with a certain method, however, does abnormal damage. Hydro Pump is the main STAB, though often prefer Scald for Burnare good chance of the opponent, then that is the Secret Sword Fight STAB and Hidden Power Electric to gain coverage.
Race! (Latias) (F) @ Life Orb
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish
- Defog
Latias...I put she because I need a defogger. The defog can attract Bisharp and snap his Ability, in this case Switch on Keldeo. I've done the set with Healing Wish for support, so when I have a pokemon that is near to be defeated, I use Healing Wish for heal the pokemon. I think it is useless to explain why 0 IVs in attack: this is for Foul Play.
