RMT: Small Fish in a Big Pond

Hey guys! As you could probably tell I’m new to the Smogon forums. That said, I’ve been playing pokemon competitively for a few years, and this has always been my go-to team. Over the past few months it’s gone through a few majorish rehauls, and I decided it’d be pretty cool to hear some of your opinions on it.
So here’s the deal. I’m really not a huge fan of the DP metagame. I don’t like the way it’s centralized around this group of ten or so pokemon you see on every team. I don’t like the way the game is almost entirely based around brutal physical attacking.
So, I made a team that was free of all that (well, mostly). I took six UU pokemon I liked, and turned them into a team that could pour the hurt on. This is that team.

Electrode @ Light Clay
Soundproof
252 SpA, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Timid
-Taunt
-Thunder Wave
-Light Screen
-Thunderbolt
We'll start with my lead. I used to have a triple status Jolteon here, but Electrode works so much better. At 416, only ninjask and scarf-ers outspeed, and I rarely see either as leads. Electrode can usually taunt a stealth rocker (like Aerodactyl) or paralyze a lead sweeper (like Infernape). Step two is usually set up a long lasting light screen thanks to light clay, and switch out. And that usually fufills his duties on the team, though I can bring him back in to paralyze again, it usually isnt needed.

Feraligatr @ Salac Berry
Torrent
252 Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Adamant
-Substitue
-Swords Dance
-Waterfall
-Crunch
You've all seen the pinch set up before. I think Feraligatr might be the best user of it in the game. This is normally what i swtich to from Electrode. After paralysis, Gatr can outspeed everything for the substitue, and after 3, salac and torrent activate. If i get lucky with some parahax, I get to swords dance, and that's when things get shook up. STAB waterfall destroys with the extra power from torrent and SD, and even without STAB, crunch is pretty devastating as well. It also provides pretty nice coverage, especially with the rest of the team. I've found that with salac, I dont really need dragon dance, so I chose SD to nab those extra KOs against some of the bulkier walls out there or even absorb an Intimidate without slowing down.

Espeon @ Choice Specs
Synchronize
252 SpA, 176 Speed, 80 HP
Timid
-Psychic
-Shadow Ball
-Grass Knot
-Signal Beam
This spot used to be Gengar. But with almost identical stats and a similar movepool, using Espeon from UU makes me feel like less of a hypocrite. Espeon is my special attacker and first revenge killer. 176 speed evs give it just enough speed to positive natured base 100s after one boost, either from a scarf or a dragon dance. Not much else can really be said; Espy hits hard and covers well, and thats about all there is to it.

Weezing @ Black Sludge
Levitate
252 HP, 252 Def, 4 SpA
Bold
-Will-o-Wisp
-Sludge Bomb
-Rest
-Explosion
It sounds weird, but i woluld probably call Weeze the center of this team. His ability, typing, stats, and access to will-o-wisp definitely make him the best wall in UU, maybe in the whole game. All the time people are amazed at how hard this beast is to bring down. He can cripple physical attackers that like to hit and run (like scizzor) with a burn. Towards the end of the game, he can explode to nab an almost garuntee'd KO. The only thing Weeze truly can't handle is Heatran, who he unfortunately can't even touch.

Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Sticky Hold
252 HP, 252 SpD, 4 SpA
Sassy
-Stockpile
-Recover
-Surf
-Earthquake
The other half of my defensive core. When I send Gastrodon out, alot of people ask me who he is, what his name is, or if he's even a pokemon. Infact, I bet alot of you are going to his Smogon page right now, looking to see what his stats, movepool, and typing are like. Let me break it down for you. Gastro is a Swampert with a little less punch, quite a bit more bulk, and a movepool that makes him born to stall. He's nuetral to ice beam, immune to thunder bolt, and resists alot of other standard special attacks, namely Heatran's STAB moves. He also brings STAB surf and EQ to the table. I chose two damaging attacks over toxic in order to fit in with my other statusers, which generally help more than toxic would anyway.

Slaking @ Choice Band
Truant
252 Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Adamant
-Return
-Earthquake
-Fire Punch
-Ice Punch
Remember when I said I didnt like how the metagame is too centralized on brutal physical attackers? Well, if Salamence is brutal, Slaking is a cold blooded serial murderer. Seriously though, Slak hits stuff hard. He's my second revenge killer and my physical hitman. These four moves provide awesome coverage, especially against the most common threats of OU that need to be brought down as quick as possible (Like Heatran, Scizzor, Salamence, Metagross). Slaking has the speed, strength, and bulk to handle all of these threats head on, and then allow me to switch out before truant occurs.

So that's my team of UUers living in an OU world. Please tell me what you guys think!
-Joe-
