ORAS OU RMT T-Trum DFS Core Based Team

Tyrantrum@ Life Orb
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Ability: Rock Head
Jolly Nature
- Head Smash
- Dragon Claw
- Superpower
- Dragon Dance/ Stealth Rocks

To start off, I chose T-Trum; because now with Rock Head he is viable in OU and seems to only need a team to help give him some momentum, help him with recovery, and protect him from his weaknesses. To give him some momentum I chose to give him a Jolly Nature to better out run his prey hopfully taking less hits. Seeing as how he has a total of six weaknesses I decided to do this the easiest way and just make a SDF Core.

Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Baton Pass
- Substitute
- Hyper Voice

I chose Sylveon as my fairy type; because, she helps him with his weaknesses of dragon and fighting types, and she also helps by giving him some longevity with Substitute (which Sylveon can Baton Pass to T-Trum so he can avoid taking damage on the switch while gaining some momentum), and wish (to Simply heal him). With Sub up and a way of recovery he DD to boost himself doing even more damage, or possibly put out SR to hurt Mons on the switch in.

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power Fire
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt

Magnezone with Volt Switch further adds to the momentum for T-Trum as well as neutralizing the steel type threat T-Trum and Sylveon have with Magnet Pull, and HP Fire. T-Trum also appreciates the protection from Ice and Fairy types that Magnezone provides. While he is choice locked it doesn't hurt him too much since his primary purpose is to switch into steel types and eliminate them.

With my balanced DFS core out of the way I thought a FWG core could help finish this team

Talonflame @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Brave Bird
- Taunt
- Roost
- Will-O-Wisp

I chose Talonflame; because, he has priority in Bravebird and helps keep a steady momentum with U-turn. Talonflame in this bulky variant helps cover the teams ground type weakness. In this Variant Talonflame can also aid the team with keeping Charizard Y and CM Clefable from tearing my team apart.

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Psyshock
- Rapid Spin

Starmie is what by far makes Talonflame work on this team as he give Talonflame spin support. I chose to make Starmie offensive to welcome its movepool and to better check certain threats using it. while Analytic enables Starmie to hit hard on the switch.

Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Sleep Powder

Venusaur helps in adding a defensive type to the team as well as helping keep Talonflames weaknesses at bay. With Sleep Powder Venusaur gives the whole team an advantage in either a free switch in or a sleeping foe. he also further eliminates the threat of fairy types to the team.

Any advice to make this team better is appreciated! Thanks alot to all of your help!

Hi, very cool team made up of Tyrantrum and the FWG + SFD core :] A few things I might suggest is to actually change the Talonflame set to a Specially Defensive variant with the EVs being 248HP, 252SpDef and 8Spd (you can tweak the SpDef EVs a little lesser and run more on Spd but that's besides the point) and have the move sets being Roost, Brave Bird, Will-O-Wisp and Taunt. With the given spread, it helps to deal with your CharizardY weakness which otherwise it'll get a kill every time it comes in. The given Talonflame spread also helps to deal with stall/balance a lot better and easily as Taunt + Will-O-Wisp withers them very quickly. This will also give you a better Calm Mind-Clefable counter as after a boost, your defensive Venusaur will not be able to hurt it, so is your Magnezone.
As for the second change, it will just be to change Calm-Mind on Sylveon to Wish. Passing a Wish/Substitute to Tyrantrum or to any other Pokemons maybe better since nothing on your team will really appreciate a Calm-Mind boost apart from Magnezone which is choiced-lock and might not be as effective. :]

Ok, I think I will definitely change Sylveon's moves, and I thought about doing a bulky Talonflame, so I'm glad Iwasn't crazy for wanting more defense. I'll plug it in on Showdown and see what happens! Zard Y seemed to be a bit of a problem with me running T-Trum without SR maybe it'll work better with Talonflame being Specially Defensive. Thanks a lot for the advice!
