RMT Team "Can Bulky Anyone" [Uber RMT]

After hearing complaints about my use of Scarf Palkia and Dialga (they're perfectly good sets to run, haters), I decided to make a team using relatively novel sets for them. Thus,

Team "Can Bulky Anyone"

mewtwo_4.png

Mewtwo@Choice Scarf
24 Attk/232 Spe/252 Sp Attk
Nature: Hasty (+Spe, -Def)
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball*
-Selfdestruct
-Trick

This Mewtwo lead is quite effective, if unorthodox. Focus Blast OHKO's Darkrai leads, which Aura Sphere is unable to do without resorting to a boosting item (Life Orb/Expert Belt/Choice Specs), Shadow Ball is there for Deoxys leads, Selfdestruct helps me gain the momentum at the cost of Mewtwo's life, and Trick screws things up later in the game *ahem Blissey*. I think Shadow Ball could be dropped for Ice Beam, since Trick ensures that Deoxys-e only gets 1 layer of SR anyways. Ice Beam still OHKO's Deoxys-a leads, and Ice Beam lets me hit Giratina(-o) and Lati@s SE anyways. I generally Trick first turn, as it screws up most leads except for Darkrai, whom I Focus Blast for a KO. If it misses and I get slept, the Darkrai is already neutered, so whatever. Besides, a Choiced Mewtwo locked onto Focus Blast is Wobbuffet fodder anyways.

Scizor@Choice Band
180 HP/148 Attk/180 SpDef
Nature:Adamant (+Attk, -SpAttk)
Ability: Technician
Bullet Punch
U-turn
Pursuit
Superpower

My only Dragon resist, Scizor also helps to take care of those Lati@s who screw with Palkia, my late-game sweeper, and helps me gain momentum with U-turn. The moves are fairly self-explanatory, and there's not much else to say. Maybe someone has a better EV spread?

dpmfa483.png

Dialga@Adamant Orb
4 Attk/252 Spe/252 SpAttk
Nature: Hasty (+Attk, -Def)
Bulk Up
Draco Meteor
Fire Blast
Dragon Claw*

My first Bulk Up-per. You may be wondering "Why does this idiot have Bulk Up and only one physical attack?" and "What's with the Adamant Orb?". This Dialga is designed to remove enemy Groudon who could screw the rain for my Palkia. Basically, Bulk Up draws in enemy Groudon, who are KO'd by Draco Meteor followed by any other move (besides Bulk Up of course). The Adamant Orb helps to bluff a Choice Item, if I use Fire Blast or Draco Meteor to revenge something, and doesn't cost me a tattle-tale 10% each attack. Blissey is 2HKO'd by a +1 Dragon Claw, Forretress is burned to a crisp, Groudon takes hefty damage from Draco Meteor (about 80% min for a 252 HP 60 SpDef Groudon I think), so if I can get this in safely, something will die. Dragon Claw over Outrage so I don't become Forretress fodder.

Kyogre@Leftovers
252 HP/224 Def/32 Spe
Nature:Modest
Surf
Ice Beam
Thunder Wave
Roar*

This EV spread ensures lots of physical bulkiness, allowing it to stick around and T-wave everything in sight, in preparation for my Palkia sweep. Things that can take on a Palkia usually lose that ability after becoming paralyzed. Conveniently, Pokemon that counter Kyogre are the same ones that counter Palkia. Roar is for those that try and set up on Kyogre. I might replace it with Thunder though, as Roar is not as effective without entry hazards.

dpmfa484.png

Palkia@Salac Berry
12 HP/244 Attk/252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
Bulk Up
Aqua Tail
Dragon Claw/Outrage
Substitute

The star of the show, Bulk Up Palkia! 12 HP Ev's grants Hp divisible by four, and while running 30 HP IV's also does that, running 30 HP IV's results in 320 HP, a really bad number for indirect damage, like poison and entry hazards. 324 HP nets me one extra turn if Palkia is poisoned and has activated its Salac Berry, which can make all the difference. This Palkia likes to come in on Kyogres after a KO, netting me a free sub. Then, hopefully their switch-in is slower than me, allowing me to Bulk Up, then Sub down to activate the Salac Berry. This is not fool-proof, but Kyogre helps to slow things down with T-wave, and Scarf-Chomps usually die to Dialga, as EQ cannot KO after a Bulk-up. I can never decide between Dragon Claw and Outrage, since Dragon Claw can't OHKO opposing Palkia or Garchomp without a Bulk Up, but I really don't enjoy being locked into Outrage.

dpmfa381.png

Latios@Soul Dew
4 HP/252 Spe/252 SpAttk
Draco Meteor
Thunder
Dragon Pulse*
Protect

Latios picks up the pieces if Palkia fails to finish off their team. Protect helps me to make the right decision against the likes of Scarf-Chomp or Scizor, and Dragon Pulse is for when I don't want -2 SpAttk and the extra power is unnecessary. Soul Dew makes him ridiculously powerful, being able to OHKO offensive Groudon with Draco Meteor, and doing 97% on average to 252 HP 60 SpDef Groudon. He also is my Kyogre switch-in if I decide its too early to send in Palkia.

Starred* moves are ones I may replace.
More later, when I have time.

I would consider Magnet Rise over Draco Meteor on Dialga. It allows you to skip Groudon's Earthquake completely, and also allows you to swap all those Special Attack EVs over to Attack, which makes it a better Bulk Up user in general. Alternatively, the EVs can be placed into HP / SDef which could help take hits from Palkia, Kyogre, and opposing Dialga. The biggest downside is that Groudon won't immediately be gone if it carries Roar, but then the plus side of avoiding Earthquakes completely and having more points in another stat is very worthwhile. The only other thing you lose is slight revenge killing power. You can also try Outrage and Lum Berry (which I would personally run), just because it will be more useful against Roar Groudon.

I would swap Roar for Thunder, because few Pokemon are setting up on Surf / Ice Beam / Thunder Kyogre (maybe try out Expert Belt to feign Choice, and give more power against faster CM Kyogre).

On Latios, you could always try Grass Knot (place it over Thunder), in tandem with Shadow Ball. It's an odd combination, but Grass Knot and Shadow Ball hit a lot of Ubers for super effective damage (against those it doesn't, Draco Meteor is often necessary anyway). Alternatively, you can try the standard Recover or Calm Mind.

More of a "maybe you should test this out" than a rate, though.

Yeah, Roar on this team is a waste. I was using it since Roar Kyogre had worked well on a previous stall team, so I'll go with Thunder, but this Kyogre doesn't have nearly the amount of Sp Attk or Spe to feign a choice item, so I'll stick with Leftovers.

Magnet Rise Dialga holds promise however, and I will definitely try that out.

Grass Knot+Shadow Ball seems interesting. I'll have to test that out as well, but a neutral Draco Meteor is actually more powerful than a super-effective Shadow Ball, which sorta turns me off.

hey there PP, I just have a few pieces of advice (not a full rate because I'm no good at it). first off, I'd recommend changing Scizor's EV spread to the standard 200 HP/56 Atk/252 SpDef - it just works better than the one you have right now. also, seconding twashley's idea of Thunder>Roar on Kyogre, and I really think you should keep Shadow Ball on Mewtwo because of Mew leads. (although I don't really see why you don't just run Lead Mew instead, because it would fit in quite well AND give you Stealth Rock.) Dialga seems kind of weird to me - I'd rather just run MixDialga instead of messing around with Bulk Up, but if it works for you, by all means keep it. that's all I got, good luck with the team!

Definitely use Dragon Claw on Dialga and Thunder on Kyogre (you should probably know why).

Use Calm Mind over Protect on Latios, +1 Thunder should KO Scizor.
And never ever use Recover on Latios, if you want Recover use Latias.

Sorry for the short rate, there just aren`t any glaring weaknesses, seeing as the other guys stated that it`s more of a "you should try this" than a rate.

Solid Team.
