RMT: Team I have been working on for almost 4 hours without a break.

Gengar – Choice Scarf
Modest
Levitate
252 Sp.Att / 200 Spd / 56 HP
~ Hidden Power [Ice]
~ Shadow Ball
~ Thunderbolt
~ Focus Blast

Standard ScarfGar with 2 twists. 200 Spd + Hidden Power [Ice] lets me outspeed most other ScarfGars by 1 point. Hidden power [Ice] is for little surprises for Dragons.

Garchomp – Life Orb
Jolly
Sand Veil
252 Att / 252 Spd / 6 HP
~ Sword Dance
~ Dragon Claw
~ Earthquake
~ Fire Fang

The Bread and Butter Garchomp set. Fire Fang because of Sword Dance. I did some damage calculations for Skarmory, Bronzong, Glisor and Weezing. All with 252 HP / 252 Def and a + Def Nature. Using both Fire Fang and Fire Blast

Skarmory
Fire Fang with 1 Sword Dance: 63.77% - 74.85%
Fire Blast: 69.16% - 81.14%

Bronzong
Fire Fang with 1 Sword Dance: 71.60% - 84.32%
Fire Blast: 45.27% - 53.25%

Glisor
Fire Fang with 1 Sword Dance: 32.49% - 38.42%
Fire Blast: 30.79% - 36.44%

Weezing
Fire Fang with 1 Sword Dance: 35.63% - 41.92%
Fire Blast: 34.43% - 40.72%

So only on Skarmory will Fire Blast do more but it’s still a 2HKO anyway.

With Stealth Rock up and assuming they are switching in on Fire Fang, I can still 2HKO Skarmory and Bronzong, hurt Gliscor and almost cripple Weezing. If happens late game after around 2-3 Stealth Rock damages, I can KO them.

Weezing – Leftovers
Bold
Levitate
252 Def / 252 HP / 6 Sp.Att
~ Pain Split
~ Hidden Power [Ice]
~ Flamethrower
~ Thunderbolt

I know you all must be thinking “WTF? Weezing with HP Ice and not Will-o-wisp???” or something like that but let me explain. Hidden Power Ice is great when countering Dragons. Garchomp doesn’t want to stay in and when SpecsMence comes in to own it, if I know they have it, Bye-Bye Dragon. Flamethrower is for Heracross and Thunderbolt for Heatran switch ins and for Gyarados.

Yes I know that Gengar has Hidden Power Ice and Thunderbolt. Gengar is mainly for Lead and Revenge Kills.

Blissey – Leftovers
Calm
Natural Cure
148 HP / 252 Def / 104 Sp.Att / 4 Spd
~ Thunder Wave
~ Seismic Toss
~ Softboiled
~ Ice Beam

Thunder Wave and Seismic Toss wear down a lot of opponents. Ice Beam for Ghosts.

Bronzong – Leftovers
Relaxed
Levitate
252 HP / 152 Att / 8 Def / 96 Sp. Def
~ Gyro Ball
~ Stealth Rock
~ Hypnosis
~ Earthquake

Supporter Zong. Gyro Ball hurts a lot and Earthquake hurts Magnazone if I catch a switch in or if it doesn’t use Magnet Rise. Stealth Rock helps Lucario and Garchomp sweep. Hypnosis also helps with the sweeps.

Lucario – Life Orb
Adamant
Inner Focus
252 Att / 252 Spd / 6 HP
~ Sword Dance
~ Close Combat
~ ExtremeSpeed
~ Bullet Punch

A key Pokemon of the team. Comes in late came when BulkyDos and their Physical Wall are gone. Dance up, then sweep. Close Combat hurts almost everything for 50%+ damage, ExtremeSpeed hurts frail sweepers, Bullet Punch KOs Gengar when Stealth Rock is set up. When Stealth Rock is set up and most of their team is gone or crippled from me paralyzing them with Thunder Wave or with any other electric move Lucario should sweep their team.

So my basic plan is to cripple their team with Thunder Wave/other electric moves and KO any Pokemon with Intimidate or insanely high Def. Set up either Lucario and Garchomp and sweep.

most other scarfgars run max spd :(

i dont see the point in hp ground bliss when those 5 ground weak pokes you're talking about already hate being paralyzed

To reiterate what nightsever said:

Your ScarfGar should run 252 speed and Timid, to give it an edge on other scarfgars and DD/Agility [anything].

HP Ground on Bliss was a good thought, but it really will be of little use. All of the ground weak pokes on the top 10 usage list will almost never switch into Bliss for fear of Thunder Wave. TTar might, but HP Ground isn't doing much to him anyway; rest/talk Heatran also might but isn't even 2hko'd by hp ground. Ice Beam is very useful because it hits most things that are immune to t-wave for super effective damage.

Also: You have two possible hypnosis users, but no hypnosis! Sleep is an incredibly powerful status that you should take advantage of if possible. Gengar could easily drop focus blast (you already do fine against TTar), or Bronzong could lose his screen.

Blissey wants bold nature, not calm.

Good Luck; Hope this Helps! --TAY

Just like what TAY said running Timid and 252 EVs on ScarfGar means you reach a total speed stat of 525 giving you an advantage against Modest ScarfGars, 2 DD'd BulkyDos, and Deoxys-E(unless it to is scarf'd but I don't think anyone would scarf a Deoxys to be honest :/ )

And I never thought that anyone would ever put a Choice Scarf on something that already has 350 speed, let alone recomend it.

Close Combat / HP Ice / Fire Blast / Grass Knot Infernape hurts your team rather badly. Only Gengar outspeeds it, and relying on Lucario to Extremespeed can be risky.

Giving Hypnosis to either Gengar or Bronzong is something that should really be considered, as Sleep is a great status.

Just so you know, Dragon Claw will do more damage to Weezing than Fire Fang, so I don't know why you posted that calc.

Going to put Ice Beam > HP Ground on Blissey

Hypnosis > the screens for Bronzong

I was just doing the Fire Fang VS Fire Blast argument so that's why.

There's nothing wrong with putting choice scarf on max speed timid gar. It's a lot smarter than putting it on a modest gar anyway.

If Garchomp is choice scarfed I'd like to be 100% sure I'm faster than it so timid is the way to go on gar in that scenario. Further, if it is not Scarfed or Banded it has Yache so you'll 2hko it regardless of nature (or LO which both ohko for sure after it attacks once)...so I guess the big benefit of Modest Scarfgar you're talking about is revenge killing the CB set. Even with timid garchomp barely has any chance to survive.

Other perks include: out-running deoxys-e, beating gyara after two DDs, etc.

I suppose you could stop with raising gengar's speed at 334 just to beat garchomp but I'm not really sure where you could put the rest of those EVs. They are kind of wasteful in hp/atk/def/spdef and your SpAtk is already maxed out so I'd rather go for the at least 50% shot that I'll beat any other scarf gar and other base 110'ers.

Modest also has the advantages of 2HKOing most Cresselia's, something Timid cannot claim. Other notable pokemon that Modest OHKO's that Timid cannot include Garchomp, Tyranitar (404 HP), Skarmory, and others. All in all, it boils down to personal preference.

And if you were to cap your speed, I would stop at 337, to outrun max speed Deoxys-E.

52 HP /252 SpA / 204 Spe

The HP EVs could also be moved to defense, for a slight damage drop against stuff like Heracross's Megahorn if you wanted.
