I'm reposting this since my original post was drowned out when the forums were moved. Sorry?
Alright gentlemen. I've been battling with this team on Shoddy for some time (apologies to those of you I played and cussed at, I used to be a sore loser and I was probably drunk. No hard feelings.)
Every time I try to replace a pogey, I end up "missing" something else, then I have to replace another, and another, until I'm left with nothing and have to scrap it all. It's a real bitch, so here goes:
Ambipom @ Life Orb
Nature: Naive
Ability: Technician
EV's: 6HP, 252 Att, 252 Speed
-Shadow Claw
-Brick Break
-Thunderbolt
-Fake Out
This is my opener. One shots Tyranitar's with BB, Gengar's with Shad claw, and TBolt for Gyarados, which is usually a nasty surprise. Fake Out provides for forced tank swaps and clean up later on. I'm rolling Naive instead of Jolly for the extra Tbolt damage, he can't take more than one hit anyway from any Sp Att'kers.
Togekiss @ Leftovers (Lum Berry for Item Clause)
Nature: Bold
Ability: Serene Grace
EV's: 214 HP/ 46 Def/ 76 Sp Att/ 174 Sp Def
-Aura Sphere
-Nasty plot
-Grass Knot
-Roost
My Sp Wall. Ever since I replaced Air Slash with Aura Sphere she's been getting bullied around a bit more, but I mainly use her for scare tactics and to absorb status. Between Aura Sphere and GKnot she's just a fat pain the ass.
Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Nature: Impish
Ability: Sandstream
EV's: 252 HP/252 Def/ 6 Sp Def
-Roar
-Slack Off
-Stealth Rock
-Ice Fang
Sand storm doens't help my team directly, but it provides for erasing hails or rainstorms. Also, the extra damage helps him outstall other annoying tanks. I've replaced Earthquake with Stealth Rock for obvious phasing purposes. He can go toe to toe with any other physical wall as well as other physical attackers. I chose Ice Fang over EQ for pesky flyers that I'd otherwise have to stall.
Weavile @ Life Orb (Expert Belt for Item Clause)
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Pressure
EV's: 6 HP/ 252 Att/ 252 Speed
- Brick Break
- Night Slash
- Ice Shard
- Fake Out
My Physical Attacker. Aerial Ace isn't needed as any counters are dealt with via Hippo or Heatran. Fake Out is present for extra damage on scarfers. Weavile primarily fills in the gap for spec'd SAttackers and Garchomp/ Salamence.
Breloom @ Toxic Orb
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Poison Heal
EV's: 6 HP/ 252 Att /252 Speed
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Seed Bomb
- Spore
Standard sub-puncher. I used to have Stone Edge as opposed to Seed Bomb so I could hit flyers. Focus Punching simply works better. I've received some criticisms regarding Jolly over Adamant. I wasn't sure about being able to outspeed some tanks, though. I use Sub for easily predicted counter-swaps, which ultimately nets me a free slept pogey and a counter-swap of my own.
Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Modest
Ability: Flash Fire
EV's: 6 HP/ 252 Sp Att/ 252 Speed
- Earth Power
- Explosion
- Flame Thrower
- Overheat
Yeah, I know. I was thinking about ditching Flamethrower or Overheat for HP Grass/Lightning. Truth is, the Scarf only allows me to do so much with him. I had Dragon Pulse for Garchomp and Salamence, but it just isn't powerful enough to OHKO. Otherwise, his Scarf allows me to takeout other Trans quite systematically.
My main weaknesses are Garchomp (Sand Veil), and teams with multiple quick special attackers. I can get stalled out by teams with 4 or more walls, but otherwise I can win a decent amount of my games. I also have trouble with bulky waters, leaving me with Breloom as my only counter.
Any and all criticisms and suggestions would be much appreciated.
