ORAS OU RMT Team

Okay, so I have posted in the forums before but not in rate my team before. So I hope I can get my point across alright. So I was experimenting with team cores, using various resources such as BreakMyTeam and such. I came across a good core when just playing around with Bisharp. Here is a preview of the team I have produced. I don't really have a name for it right now, let me know if u have any ideas though. Here is the preview of the team:

Okay, and here is the low-down.

Casket (Cofagrigus) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Mummy
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball
- Protect
- Will-O-Wisp

Cofagrigus is my usual lead. As Cofa here is in RU, he is almost never, pardon my humor, excavated out and no one sees the treasure that it is! It just needs the right kind of partner. Mummy can help stop the occasional Mega Loppunny by changing it's ability once it uses Fake Out, and Mummy is just annoying. Destiny Bond is useful against slower attackers as it makes the opponent punished if they dare to try and destroy Cofa next turn. That way you can get more leftovers healing. However, this could be replaced with Toxic Spikes, Memento, Toxic, Haze, Trick, Calm Mind, various other status moves, or another move for coverage, depending on how you want to use Cofa. Shadow Ball is a basic STAB move that does a decent amount of damage to most Pokemon as Cofa has an acceptable but not amazing special attack stat. Protect allows you to scout out for ghost and dark moves, fake-out, and stall. Will-O-Wisp cuts physical attack power and can easily stall-kill any 'mon without a good recovery.

DatAxe (Bisharp) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Defiant
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Knock Off

Bisharp provides a heavy offensive presence in this team core, as well as good typing and an easy partner to Cofagrigus as it resists both dark and ghost. It also assists Suicune by resisting grass types. Swords Dance is to break stallers. Sucker Punch, as most know, is what I would say Bisharp's staple move, due to it's middling speed. Iron Head I rarely use, but provides a useful steel type STAB move with good power in order to strike hard. Knock Off is annoying to opponents, deals heavy damage with STAB, and can get rid of leftovers or other things like that. You could switch the focus sash for some other item, but I find it nice as you can surprise your opponents by using SD first, and the sucker punch can OHKO most Pokemon, or at the very least deal a massive amount of damage.

Racune (Suicune) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 84 SpA / 60 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Air Slash
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Ice Beam
Suicune has a fairly average set, consisting of Calm Mind, Scald, and Ice Beam. Scald is for obvious reasons, leftovers allows Suicune to restore health while stalling, Calm Mind is for Obvious Reasons, and then Ice Beam. Ice beam provides a powerful special attack alternative that hits grass types hard, and 'mons like salamence or garchomp harder. But then Air Slash. I do not believe this is on the normal set, but I included it as a way of more coverage. Mega Venusaur can take ice hits fairly easily with Thick Fat, and Scald can't touch him besides burn. And other bulky water types like Blastoise can wall withought problem. Air Slash gives a decently powerful special move not resisted by most water types, and it can also hit Keldeo for some respectable damage, as well as other Pokemon.
250px-701Hawlucha.png

Raptor (Hawlucha) (M) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Acrobatics
- High Jump Kick
- Thunder Punch
- Swords Dance

Hawlucha gives more offensive power to the team. He may be short lived, due to possible recoil but most of all just lack of bulk, yet he makes his point. Most sets use Sky Attack with a power herb, but I went for a Sitrus Berry. It helps him out if he is poisoned, or is taking a decent amount of damage that doesn't kill him. This activates Unburden, which considerably raises his already excellent speed stat, as well as activating the extra power for Acrobatics. Acrobatics and High Jump Kick provide excellent STAB moves. Thunder Punch provides extra support against water types that may attempt to wall Suicune, as well as hitting flying types hard with the extra speed from Unburden making him able to out speed most. Swords Dance is hard to pull off due to Hawlucha's frailness, but if you can pull off one he is a monster and very difficult to stop, especially if it activates the Sitrus Berry and so on.

Fly-Gon Jinn (Flygon) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Giga Drain
- Earth Power
- Roost

Flygon is my Jack-of-all-trades kind of Pokemon. I realize that Flygon is a physical Pokemon, however, I went for him being a special attacker due to his magnificent special movepool. Earth Power is a basic STAB move. Roost allows him to stay in the battle longer to take out enemies of the previously listed Pokemon. Giga Drain allows health to be restored after taking damage from his Life Orb. Levitate makes him able to switch in to Excadrill and other ground types trying to take out Bisharp, while hitting them hard in turn with Draco Meteor, Giga Drain, and in some cases, Earth Power. Draco Meteor on this is a beauty. It deals massive damage to 'mons expecting an easy switch in, and can even deal a Skarmory some respectable damage.
250px-Nurse_Joy_Blissey.png

Joy (Blissey) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Heal Bell
- Flamethrower

Blissey is my cleric, but probably the most switched pokemon on my team. First Latias, then Togekiss, then Blissey, then Sylveon, then Espeon, then Wish Salamence, and then finally back to Blissey. Wish allows Blissey to pass massive sums of health in order to help her teammates stay in the game, protect allows for stalling with the leftovers, and is even better in case Blissey gets a burn on a 'mon when she uses Flamethrower. Heal Bell, well, it heals her teammates. Self Explanatory. So Flamethrower is kind of the odd move. The burn chance is useful, and it has a lot of PP allowing for stalling. Not many pokemon are immune to fire type moves, just the select few, mostly Heatran, with Flash Fire. But it works extremely well with this team, I will assure you of that.

So that's my team. It works extremely well, and I was able to easily beat well made OU teams, several of them, with only the first 4 Pokemon, when in testing phase. The other two were adding later, but Flygon has become invaluable and Blissey's role is vital. Let me know what you think, and I will try to answer any questions you might have if any! Here is the input form for the team. Sorry, I don't really remember how to make the teams in the dropdown tab, it;s been awhile. I would appreciate if someone could help me out there. But umm, thanks for reading and stuff, and I hope you like it!

Hello, so I am sorry to inform you but I do not see this team doing that well in the meta based on some of your picks, which have easy replacements. Also why is your flygon running special attacking moves? If you dont know the physical/special split of pokemon I highly suggest joining the battling101 tutoring Program here

1. Flygon> Specially Defensive Excadrill So after looking through your team it appears as though it contains no Rapid spinner/Defogger and no stealth rock setter, which is deadly at where the meta currently stands today because stealth rocks are very common and some people even layer spikes from Skarmory.

2. Cofagrigus> Defensive Mega Sableye Sableye can do everything you want Cofagrigus to do, such as set burns with priority with the prankster ability, but be wary this is before sableye mega evolves so time your mega carefully, this also adds a very effective mega to your team.

3. Blissey> Eviolite Chansey With an eviolite Chansey it still has okay bulk to take maybe 1 physical attack but its special defense goes very high because of the 1.5 boost. Chansey also has access to recovery in soft boiled or can wish pass if you desire. It can also heal bell and can stall out enemies using seismic toss. Also, Mega Sableye and Chansey is a very famous core and was even used by a youtuber I like to watch named Adrive

Now it Gets to a point where this many changes makes the team not yours but in this case I have to recommend these cause they are more effective in the Meta Today. If you did not understand the purpose of the changes that I made then please join battling 101, they will help you understand these tips and the meta all together. good luck on the team and let me know if you have any questions :)

I realize that Flygon is a physical attacker, I said it IN THE DESCRIPTION if you actually bothered to read my RMT. I said earlier, if you had read it, that he has a great special movepool, and it always comes unexpected to players as they tend to send out a physically defensive 'mon that I can easily defeat. Roost I can always replace with Defog, but I have not had many issues relating to residual entry damage. Not enough to be worth changing to excadrill, despite him being an excellent pokemon.

Sableye I will try, but I generaly consider it a cheap strategy because despite him doing his job well, he is not very flexible and has few set options. Plus I just do not like sableye, but that will not get in the way of my trying him. And he is mostly just annoying.

I like the Chansey set, and I will try that set.

Thanks you for reviewing, and I hope I can improve my team based off of your reviews!

Oh, BTW I do see you view point on each of the edits you make, and those views are good. However, they are standard. I like to try and take what is not standard, and make it good. However, like I said, I see where you are coming from on all of your suggestions.
