Gen 3 RMT - Test UU Team

I've been working on it for a while, but it still has a long ways to go

Kangaskhan (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Early Bird
Adamant Nature
252 HP/252 Atk/6 Spd
-Brick Break
-Shadow Ball
-Return
-Earthquake

The classic Cband Kangaskhan. It beats down mostly everything in 1-2 hits with STABed Return, and gets decent coverage of about everything else. It surprises the hell out of most people as well

Tentacruel (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
Hasty Nature
252 Atk/148 Spd/108 Sp. Def
-Sludge Bomb
-Swords Dance
-Hydro Pump
-Ice Beam

Sludge bomb sweeper and Gligar counter (Ice Beam). HP takes out most stuff that resists SB

Banette (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Insomnia
Jolly Nature
144 HP/172 Atk./192 Spd
-Shadow Ball
-Will O' Wisp
-Knock Off
-Destiny Bond

Incredibly useful. Takes out Grumpig/Hypno after Kangaskhan is downed with Shadow Ball, Cripples a large portion of opponents with knock off, Will O' Wisp stops physical attackers in thier tracks, and Destiny Bond always comes in handy.

Hitmonlee (M) @ Leichi Berry
Trait: Limber
Jolly Nature
252 Atk/252 Spd/6 Hp
-Bulk Up
-Mach Punch
-Hidden Power (Rock)
-Brick Break

I am thinking of changing this into a reversaler. He is currently amazingly useful because he can take out faster enemies w/ low HP with Mach Punch, as well as being able to switch into a predicted thunder wave.

Fearow (F) @ Leichi Berry
Trait: Keen Eye
Adamant Nature
252 Atk/252 Spd/6 Hp
-Steel Wing
-Drill Peck
-Double Edge
-Quick Attack

Quick attack is there for obvious reasons, Double edge for STAB, and Drill Peck and Steel Wing to take out Grass/Fighting/Bug and Rock/Ice respectivley

Victreebell (F) @ Petaya Berry
Trait: Chlorophyll
Modest Nature
252 Spd/252 Sp. Atk/4 Hp
-Sunny Day
-Sleep Powder
-Solar Beam
-Hidden Power (Fire)

Standard Sunnybeamer, with Hp fire to take down vileplume/cups that switch in to take advantage of a chlorophyll boost. This guy ends up a game winner fairly often, I like him a lot!

Any suggestions on the team?

lol bro... i know thats not the team you're using currently, but that one you jsut posted has ZERO defense at all.

edit: lol its so weird that i found this thread... i havent been to this site since i registered, i was just trying to find pokerealms tier list and somehow im here haha!

lol, I was thinking of replacing fearow with a staller/wall of some sort

Idk, if offense is the best defence, then I win...I've been trying this team out and it actually works fairly well, any suggestions on defense?

well, pretty much everything in UU can be walled. offense is the best defense... that pretty much only works in OU and D/P.

in uu you need defense. so just get something with defense that you like, and then work off that.

Kangaskhan does not need Brick Break.
EQ weak with low defence does not counter Gligar.
Consider Substitute-Focus Punch-Rock slide/HP rock-Reversal on Hitmonlee.
Lower speed and more HP on Vileplume.
CB and Return over Double-Edge on Fearow, HP ground over Steel Wing

you have no normal resist, you might want to consider replacing hitmonlee with cbslorock / aggron. or you can always make kanaga a wish-counter poke.

To be honest, I must point out that Kangaskhan can be a threat with just Double-Edge,Shadow Ball, Earthquake, and Rest. I understand your infatuation with CB Kanga, but I thought I should shed some light on that fact.

But I still want to know what Ice Beam on Tentacruel is for.

If I see it correctly, it is to score an absolute OHKO on Gligar. Apparently he doesn't know Hydro Pump does the same thing with a 68 EV investment in special attack. (This brings special attack to 213, giving it a 100% chance to OHKO Gligar with a maxed HP stat.)

Thanks Karrot, I didn't think of that, any suggestions on what I should fill the last moveset with now? I'm thinking maybe confuse ray or giga drain.

-=EDIT=-

Ehh...I'm kind of shaky about the rest idea, which implies that I get rid of cband. I understand that it is probably better, but it kind of violates the spirit of the whole thing...
