RMT - Time to clean it up.

This team has been working pretty decent for me, but it usually ends up with one of the same two pokemon sweeping.

Houndoom (F) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/216 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Dark Pulse
- Will-o-wisp
- Fire Blast / Overheat
- Hidden Power [Grass]
---
280 speed outspeeds 252 Roserade and Lucario. I usually end up just WoW'ing Physical Starters or switching out. My problem is that this thing can't one hit Bronzong, so I was thinking of Spec'ing it, but then that limits me so much.

Drapion (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Battle Armor
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Knock Off
- Toxic Spikes
- Whirlwind
- Brick Break
---
This thing rocks, I don't think I'd change a thing. BB works very well for Ttars and Weaviles.

dpmfb395.png

Empoleon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/184 Def/72 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Yawn
- Stealth Rock
- Surf
- Grass Knot
---
I consider switching Surf for Protect. I think it'd make yawn a whole lot easier. I got a lot of love for Empoleon, but besides SR and the occasional sleep, he doesn't get to do too much.

Gastrodon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sticky Hold
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Stockpile
- Recover
- Surf
- Toxic
---
My star killer. Gassy has a lot of safe switch ins in which it can setup/toxic and then just wait. This thing usually only gets taken down by a rare Energy Ball from Gengar or a crit. I really hate getting critted on this thing. Full DEF Investment as it's my best thing against Chomps Outrage, 44%/35%/22% from outrage with each respective stockpile. Nothing wrong with Gassy except I wish it was crit-proof :(

dpmfb091.png

Cloyster (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -Satk)
- Ice Shard
- Spikes
- Iron Defense
- Rapid Spin
---
I dunno. My spinner that never spins. This is kind of a throw in poke, I really should drop the def and invest in some atk for Ice Shard, but I dunno if I even wanna keep Cloyster.

Mismagius (F) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Substitute
- Shadow Ball
---
Outspeeds Modest, 252 Speed Starmie, Azelf. My other star sweeper. People still often switch in Blissey on this thing. After a few CM she can go pretty far.

My EV's are admittedly not very creative. Half of my team does really well and is pretty successful, the other half...not so much. I really like Gastro and would not be adverse to using more pokes like it. I think I could use a better starter and spinner. I don't like the common OU's though.

Thanks.

Give Houndoom Fire Blast over Flamethrower to one shot standard Bronzong. Leftovers over Black Sludge for Drapion, because you don't want it tricked to another member of your team.

If you want to OHKO Bronzong with Houndoom, you can use Overheat over Flamethrower; Houndoom rarely stays in for very long anyways, so the Special Attack drop won't hurt too much. Seeing as you don't have any problems with Bronzong using Hypnosis on it anymore, you might even want Focus Sash so you can Will-O-Wisp things like Gyarados without fear; Gengar might Focus Blast you anyways, but if you're really afraid that it will Hypnosis you, Lum Berry is fine.

Speaking of Gyarados, you have loads of problems with it. It can easily switch in on Gastrodon, Cloyster, and Drapion, and with a Dragon Dance, only those three can survive an attack; obviously, since Gyarados can switch into them, they can't do anything to Gyarados. Using Starmie over Cloyster can help with your Gyarados problem; Starmie can also Rapid Spin (though it might not need it considering Drapion absorbs Toxic Spikes and you don't have a major Rock weakness). If you keep Cloyster, use an Impish nature so you don't drop Attack, which Ice Shard runs from.

Mm, I don't know why I didn't think of just doing Overheat/FB for Doom. I'll look into the two.

Gengar actually does run me over sometimes, especially the Energy Ball/FB ones. Sash just seems so futile these days though. Without Energy ball gengar isn't a problem though.

Gyarados never really causes me problems. Gastrodon vs Gyarados is usually a pretty common occurrence, but I've never really had issues with Taunting and Toxi-stall wins in the end.

I can't believe I didn't notice the nature on Cloyster... /le fail I'll take a look at Starmie

Thanks
