RMT: Uber 4v4 (PBR, Aussie Tour)

Hello. This is a team I designed primarily for PBR. If the Australian Tour has a battle tournament as well as the Secret Key, I'll use this team if it's doubles.

I have 6 Pokemon here, the last two depend on what I think my biggest threat will be when looking at an opponent's team pre-match in PBR.

Sun Leads: Groudon and Zapdos

Groudon @ Life Orb
Ability: Drought
EVs: 112 HP/252 Atk/20 Def/124 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Rock Polish
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Swords Dance

Rock Polish and Swords Dance. Seems pretty stupid, right? Groudon's main purpose is to do a lot of damage. Depending on what I think will benefit him most, I'll use either boost, or both if I have the chance. I then proceed to hit both opponent's Pokemon, and hard, with either Earthquake or Rock Slide. EV spread is from Smogon, as it allows him to survive some common threats, and still hit hard.

Zapdos @ Life Orb

Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Discharge
- Heat Wave
- Roost
- Thunder

My other lead. I chose Zapdos over other Discharge users because of his Heat Wave, and resistance to Ground, which means I can spam Earthquake on Groudon with no bad consequences. Heat Wave and Discharge both hit other opponents, Discharge also hits my ally, which Groudon is immune to. Roost is for recovery, obviously not when Groudon is using Earthquake, and Thunder is there for damage if I'm paired with a non-Groudon Pokemon. (That sounded dumb)

Rain Leads: Kyogre and Aerodactyl

Kyogre @ Choice Specs

Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Water Spout
- Ice Beam
- Thunder
- Hydro Pump

Specs Kyogre. This Kyogre is designed to simply kill lots of things. Water Spout over Surf because Surf hits an ally, and with Kyogre's monstrous SpAtk, I do NOT want that happening. Other moves for use when Water Spout isn't too good of an option.

Aerodactyl (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Aqua Tail
- Pursuit

I chose Aerodactyl over Tyranitar because of his speed. Aerodactyl's primary purpose is hit both opponents hard with a STAB Rock Slide. Choice Band and full EV's in Atk and Speed to make sure that Rock Slide hits as hard as possible.

Last 2 Pokemon
Depending on what the opponent has, I choose which leads would be best. If I run in the Sun, my last 2 Pokemon are Heatran (below) and Aerodactyl. If I go walking in the Rain, I run Palkia (below) and Zapdos, but use Thunder over Discharge.

Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf

Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Ice]

My favourite Heatran set. Excellent revenge killer, hits hard and fast. Fire Blast is an absolute terror under the Sun. Other moves are for coverage. EV spread is from Smogon.

Palkia @ Lustrous Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Aqua Tail
- Spacial Rend
- Outrage
- Thunder

Bit of a different Palkia here. I didn't want to run Surf, because it hits an ally, and really hard. So, Palkia is a sniper rather than a bomber, takes out one enemy at a time, and really hard. Aqua Tail, despite being Physical, hits really damn hard under Rain. Lustrous Orb over Life Orb because I just like it better.

Well, that's my team. I know not many people are experienced with the Doubles metagame, or with Ubers, but still please try and suggest improvements.

24hr bump.

I'm focusing more on the Sun team, I've won 19 battles and lost 2. The two battles I lost were against Trick Room teams, which was obvious as my team heavily focuses on speed.
