RMT YanMEGADETH (OU)

Hey, it's JarardoMartino. I made this team a while ago and it seemed to be doing good but then I hit a wall on shoddy and I don't know how to over come it. As the name implies, this team is designed to allow a Specs-Yanmega sweep so any helpful suggestions are highly appreciated. Try not to suggest any replacement pokes that are legends cause I'm want to re-create this team on HG when I get it. Anyway, on with the team!

THE LEAD
472Gliscor.png

Gliscor AKA GliscorFTW
@Leftovers
Sandveil
Jolly(+SPE -SpAtk)
252HP/40DEF/216SPE
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Roost
-U-Turn

Gliscor is my favorite and as a lead he always finds a way to get the job done. Earthquake is obligatory STAB and he gets rocks up often. Roost is to wall later on if needed. U-turn is an awesome moves that recks taunters like Azelf who met with a Shadow Sneak from Dusknoir.

The Banded One
477Dusknoir.png

Dusknoir AKA The Czar
@Choice Band
Pressure
Adamant (+Atk -SpAtk)
252HP/252Atk/4Spe
-Shadow Sneak
-Fire Punch
-Thunder Punch
-Brick Break

Dusknoir packs some punch with a Banded base 100Atk stat and synergizes well with porygon 2. Shadow Sneak is a priority STAB move that hits Azelf and Latias hard. Fire Punch is for Scizor and Foretress and Thunder Punch is mainly for Suicune. Brick Break is obviously for Blissey who walls Yanmega

The Ace-Counter
233Porygon2.png

Porygon 2 AKA Agent P
@Leftovers
Trace
Bold (+Def -Atk)
252HP/216Def/40SpAtk
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Recover
-Thunder Wave

The Defensive Duck is no joke in OU. Thanks to its ability, Trace, it makes a great counter to Heatran, Gyarados, and Salamence. It also has the coveted Bolt/Beam coverage. Recover helps him retain bulk and Thunder Wave is for the pokes who switch in. Porygon 2 also hell for Rain Dance Teams thanks to trace and T-Wave.

The Supportive Star
Starmie.jpg

Starmie AKA Shuriken
@Light Clay
Natural Cure
Timid (+Spe -Atk)
200HP/108Def/200Spe
-Rapid Spin
-Surf
-Recover
-Reflect

Starmie's sole purpose is to get rocks out of the way so Yanmega can come in safely with Rapid Spin. Starmie has just enough Speed and Bulk to counter Infernape and to take a pursuit when Reflect is up. Reflect also helps Yanmega with his abysmal defensive stat. Recover helps Starmie stay alive longer and Surf is an Obligatory STAB move.

The Status-Absorber
68.png

Machamp AKA Kimbo Slice
@Leftovers
No Guard
Adamant (+Atk -SpAtk)
252HP/252Atk/4Spe
-Dynamic Punch
-Payback
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

Rest/Talk Machamp has saved my ass on several ocassions and is a valued member of the team. With rest, he acts as a status absorber and a switch into SporePunch Breloom. Dynamic Punch is a powerful STAB move and thanks to No Guard, has 100% accuracy and is hell for Blissey or any switch-ins. Payback is for ghosts and does well against Latias if Machamp hasn't taken prior damage before Latias attacks.

The Destructive Dragonfly
469Yanmega.png

Yanmega AKA YanMEGADETH
@Choice Specs
Tinted Lense
Modest (+SpAtk -Atk)
4Def/252SpAtk/252Spe
-Bug Buzz
-Air Slash
-Hp Ground
-U-Turn

The power of tinted lense never ceases to amaze me. Practically any thing slower than Yanmega or switches in is obliterated by Bug Buzz, a powerful STAB move, when boosted by Tinted Lense AND Choice Specs isn't something to be taken lightly. Rotom-A and Zapdos switch-ins are taken by suprise by Bug Buzz and usually 2HKOs them (unless the Rotom-A is offensive its an OHKO). Air Slash is soley for Gengar swith-ins. Hp Ground likewise is for Heatran switch-ins. And U-turn is for scouting Blissey switch ins.

So there you have it, there is my team. The main problem is Speed. Anything Base +100Spe completly destroys Yanmega. Latias if not handled properly, presents another problem. I'm not sure if its me mispredicting but I always lose the pokes who check the problem pokes when I need them most. Any suggestions to cure this team's problem is highly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Change your spread on your Gliscor to
168 HP / 88Atk / 252Spe
This allows you to always beat any other Gliscor who dooesn't run max, and tie with Max Speed base 95's such as Electivire. The Attack EVs let you always 2HKO standard Lead Metagross and the rest were dumped into HP for some extra bulk
