RMT

Here is a team I have been using on Shoddy Battle lately. This team main goal is to set up a Kingdra sweep. It has gotten me moderate success, but I feel like there are a few problems with it. First of all my team has a Mixape with HP Ice weakness but whenever I try to replace something it seems that more problems arise.

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, - SAtk)
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw/Stone Edge
- Fire Blast

Garchomp is lead to lure out those steel Pokemon so Magnezone can trap them.Garchomp often times revenge kills Pokemon that are going to sweep me. After Magnezone has eliminated their main Dragon resist Garchomp can often times sweep with Outrage.

Magnezone @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 172 HP/252 SAtk/84 Spd
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Ice
- Substitute
- Magnet Rise

Magnezone helps me capture those Steel type Pokemon who resist Salamence's Draco Meteor and Garchomp's Outrage. Also helps clear the way for a Kingdra sweep by countering Empoleon.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP/216 Def/52 SAtk
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Stealth Rocks

Swampert is replacing Skarmory. Can help me cover Electivire and no Grass Knot Inferape. Also sets up Stealth Rocks.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 148 HP/252 Def/104 SAtk/4 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, - Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Seismic Toss
- Thunder Wave
- Softboiled

Blissey is the second part of the famed SkarmBliss combination. Blissey is my main Special wall. Blissey spreads status around with Thunder Wave and paralyzes some potentially trouble Pokemon.

Metagross @ Choice Band
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP/236 Atk/12 Def/8 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Pursuit

Metagross replace Salamence to fix up a Deoxys S weakness I had. Also Metagross can help get rid of Blissey and other special walls with Pursuit. Metagross helps with a Dragon weakness that I have.

Kingdra @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 168 Atk/252 SAtk/88 Spd
Naughty nature (+ Atk, -SDef)
- Rain Dance
- Draco Meteor
- Waterfall
- Surf

Kingdra is my main Pokemon. Once Magnezone has eliminated Empoleon, Kingdra can sweep. I have been many problems with Kingdra though. It often times dies before it does anything, and most people know what it is going to do so they status Kingdra or Roar/Whirlwind me away.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trouble Pokemon
  • Machamp - Machamp can hit all of my Pokemon but Kingdra with super effective moves. Skarmory can not wall it because of Dynamic Punch and Thunder Punch. Often times I have to rely on Garchomp or Salamence to revenge kill it.
  • Electivire - If Electivire gets a speed boost I am in trouble. The only Pokemon that can kill it is Garchomp but I have to sacrifice a Pokemon first. - Swampert now covers this
  • Infernape with HP Ice - I have not run into one of these yet but Garchomp can revenge kill it. - Swampert can be Grass Knot less ones
  • EDIT: After testing my team I have now notice it has a serious LO Mamo weak.

At first Glance it looks like a solid team. But the Main problem is Blissey and any decent Special Wall to be honest. In Fact Cresselia would destroy most of this team. But before I jump the gun and talk about that I have some advice in general.

Salamence does not look like the greatest lead for what you are trying to do. Gengar and other Sleepers can beat him pretty easily and if he is going to draw out steel types then he should be able to kill them. One thing you can do is use MixMence which would allow you to beat the steel types anyway. But for what you are trying to do, right now your best bet it making Garchomp your lead. He will usually draw out that steel type to absorb the Outrage right away allowing you to switch to Magnezone. To have even more fun with this Give Maggy a Lum Berry to be able to switch in on Hypnosis from Bronzong. The plan would be use ScarfChomp with Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Fire Blast, and Stone Edge / Outrage.

Now onto the bigger problem. Blissey. Right now Garchomp is your best bet and that actually might lose if you are stuck in the wrong attack. Kingdra is your only way after that and needs Waterfall to do maximum damage both times as well as be in rain.

You have 3 Dragon weaknesses as well as that Blissey weak. Right now Deoxys E could rip you apart as well. I say your best bet is replacing Salamence for Metagross. Metagross can wall Deoxys, beat Blissey one on one, and resists dragon. Rain Dance also negates his Fire Weakness.

Now this does give you a 3x time fire weak with 2 resists. Hopefully Rain Dance should be up though. But you also could replace Skamory. Swampert could easily go in his spot doing what he is doing but gets rid of a fire and elc weakness. His Hydro Pump is also powered by Rain Dance. He also covers Electivire and No Grass Knot Infernape (Which is really unpopular as the new standard is HP Ice / NP / Fire Blast / CC).

If you want to focus on Rain Dance even more you can consider the following:

-Change Thunder to Thunderbolt on Magnezone
-Obviously the Change of Skarmory to Swampert
-Metagross over Salamence to cover a weakness as well as Rain letting you negate Fire Weakness.

Good Luck.

You could also make Magnezone a second pokemon for settiing up Raun Dance.

I would but what could I replace. Magnet Rise is very helpful. I think the only move I could consider replacing is substitute.

After considering what you said I shall replace Skarmory for Swampert, move Garchomp to lead and switch Salamence with Metagross.
