RMT

My brother, Plaid who goes on Shoddy Battle but does not have a forum user, used mine for his team. I am looking for advice for a good physical wall that still can deal good damage. Still, for the most part, my team does pretty well.

Infernape (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 64 Atk/192 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fake Out
- Fire Blast
- Close Combat
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Straight forward anti-lead. Fake Out deals with focus sashers. Fire Blast kills Skarmory, Forretress and the like and gets 50% stronger if it is focus sashes. Close Combat is a strong physical attack move and deals with the ever menacing Tyranitar and Hidden Power grass is for obnoxious Swamperts which the rest of my team aren't good at dealing with.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/178 Spd/80 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Calm Mind
---
Substitute allows me to scout with Jirachi, prevents status effects, and, with 101 subs, survives a seismic toss. Combine with leftovers and calm mind punishment and it can be a menace. It also is one of my defenses against Scizor and Lucario.

Weavile (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Ice Shard
- Night Slash
- Swords Dance
---
Weavile is a pretty basic sweeper, and, if lucky, can get a focus sashed swords dance and start sweeping.

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 156 HP/108 Atk/100 Def/146 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Taunt
- Stone Edge
---
Gyrados is extremely useful. I usually switch in on something I know it resists like Scizor, then Dragon Dance, then taunt any opposing tanks like Skarmory or Vaporeon. Its biggest problem is Jolteon, but it isn't worth giving up its bulky water status.

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Def/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Calm Mind
- Softboiled
---
This is the pokemon I am least sure about because I already have Latias as a special wall, and Latias has more immediate sweeping prowess, if less walling capabilities. This set is pretty straightforward. Calm mind and Softboiled opposing Special Sweepers after all the physical attackers have been killed.

Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Recover
---
Latias' type coverage leads to many free switch-ins. Calm mind punishes switching and combined with recover it can stall many pokemon indefinitely and then attack with its good speed. Life orb makes it dangerous even if it hasn't pulled off any calm minds and recover takes away the residual damage if used with discretion.

I'd drop Blissey for Swampert. As a good tank with important coverage and typing, he adds a solid dimension to your team. He can phaze and do some real damage if given the chance. Since you already have CM Latias, CM Blissey is redundant.

Further more, I'd make one of Latias or Jirachi into a supporter. I'd make Jirachi able to Stealth Rock or have Swampert Stealth Rock and give Latias Roar and support set. You don't need redundant CMers since they all serve similar purposes.

Finally, make Weavile have a Choice Band since Weavile will likely not be around long or be able to switch in a lot (thanks Stealth Rock). I've used SD Weavile before and it can go 6-0 on a team that's unable to handle it but more often than not, another team mate can do it better due to stability and Weavile is best suited for a hit and run tactic. Choice Band also adds a bit more power than simply Life Orb (which is needed to OHKO Latias with Night Slash or Ice Punch).

Good Luck!

infernape gets grass knot-but it should be replaced with stealth rock.
and don't go with focus sash on weavile,it will be ruined by stealth rock

Good idea on switching Blissey for Swampert. I know that scizor and heatran are on almost every team though; that is when I switch in to gyrados, pull of a dragon dance and taunt. I also like the idea of making latias support. Jirachi's substitute calm mind is too good to give up, and it gets a free switch in on scizor. Infernape has that grass move to get rid of the common annoying Swampert lead which my team is weak to and I find it difficult to set up stealth rock because I'd rather be sweeping with a fragile pokemon like Infernape. The idea with the Weavile is intriguing; I'll consider it. Even if I don't listen to all your advice, I still appreciate your input. Thank you.

if you really insist on using a grass move on ape, for gods sake switch to grass knot. Grass knot has higher BP against pert, meaning the kill is more determined.

Why on earth are you using Hidden Power Grass over Grass Knot? Grass Knot hits pretty much every water type bar Vaporeon for more damage and has huge payoff versus Suicune and Swampert and Tyranitar.

Earthquake please? And yes, Tarquinmacdonald is right. GrassKnot>HPGrass - Unless you be fighting Magickarps be my guest.
