Introduction
Welcome to RoA's second Ladder Tournament!
It will consist of 2 phases:
1. Ladder Qualification (6 weeks)
2. Playoffs (~4 weeks)
Qualification
Weeks 1-6 will consist of qualifying by obtaining top 8 ladder positions in Gens 1-6 OU.
The week number will be equivalent to the generation's number.
For instance, week 1 qualifying will be on the [Gen 1] OU Ladder, Week 3 on the [Gen 3] OU Ladder and Week 6 on the ([Gen 6]) OU Ladder.
The following points are awarded the same across each ladder:
Points Per Ladder Position
1st: 12
2nd: 9
3rd: 7
4th: 5
5th: 4
6th: 3
7th: 2
8th: 1
If there are n ties for a position, additional positions (n-1) are filled beneath the tied position and the points are averaged out, according to the positions that are replaced by the tied position. E.g. If 4 players are tied for 6th, they earn 1.5 points each since 6th-8th offers a total of 6 points, which is shared between 4 players.
These points are collected for all 6 weeks into a qualifying leader board, the top 16 of which, at the end of the 6 weeks, qualify for the 16 man play-off stage, which will be seeded conventionally according to the leader board. Positions #17, #18, #19 and #20 will be listed as substitutes and be substituted in, in that order.
Playoffs
For each round in the playoffs phase, 3 OverUsed tiers will be chosen randomly to comprise the initial first-to-2-wins-set (best of 3, excluding ties) that applies to every match, and the remaining 3 OU tiers will be included in the other FT2W (~bo3) set. The player who wins both FT2W (~bo3) sets will progress. In the case both players win a set each, or indeed any tie-breaking case in this tournament, players must choose 1 tier each to constitute 2 games of the tie-breaking FT2W set, while the final tie-breaking game will be chose randomly at the start of each round. The first two sets will contain all 6 gen OUs, but one may play a generation's OU tier however many times they want in the tiebreaker set. Any tied games will result in that tier being replayed for the following game.
Rewards
Winners of the RoA Ladder Tournament Playoffs will earn the right to display
in their signatures
and achieving 1st, 2nd and 3rd place on a week's ladder entitles one to display these respectively:
Important Information
Please make sure you understand the Smogon Tournament Rulesbefore signing up for a week.
If purposeful repeated forfeiting to boost ladder points is discovered, both players involved will be disqualified from the tournament. One could also be disqualified by using another alt to benefit the signed up alt (not using another just by accident).
Battle Location
Qualification is on http://smogtours.psim.us/only. Any other ladder will not be counted.

Week 4: DPP OU Ladder
[Gen 4] DPP OU Rules
Banned Pokémon
Arceus (All formes), Darkrai, Deoxys, Deoxys-Attack, Deoxys-Defense, Deoxys-Speed, Dialga, Garchomp, Giratina, Giratina-Origin, Groudon, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Latias, Latios, Lugia, Manaphy, Mew, Mewtwo, Palkia, Rayquaza, Salamence, Shaymin-Sky, Wobbuffet, Wynaut.
Banned Moves
Double Team, Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, Minimize, Sheer Cold (Evasion + OHKO moves).
Banned Abilities
Sand Veil and Snow Cloak.
Clauses
Sleep Clause, Species Clause.
Signing up
The [Gen 3] OU ladder is currently empty, so you will not be required to create a fresh alt this week
Only signup and ladder with 1 alt (your regular one)
Your alt needs to be voice and above to be able to ladder, so contact a smogtours moderator and above to get voiced on your regular account if you aren't already.
Good Luck. The final ladder positions for this week will be observed at a random time during February 18th (with the time announced along with the results) and qualified users will be alerted in the concluding post of this thread.
The top 8 of a week will exclude players who haven't signed up, but still maintain its size, so there may be cases where the week's top 8 differs from the ladder's top 8.
