Ninetales is here for obvious reasons its a sun team. Ive chosen the evs in Spdef because i needed her to be a bit bulkier. This way she switch in more often without being KO'd. she has hidden power electric to counter politoed and other waters on rain teams. however its proven to be very useless as it often does very little damage so i rarely end up using it.hypnosis and toxic are there to screw up with other teams leads

venusaur is a....monster.under sunlight theres nothing that can stop him. Ive 6-0'd teams with this guy alone. anyways venusaur is probably the one i want to change least on my team because he's practically flawless except under rain or sand. then hes just a helpless flower.

okay maybe one of the oddest members of my team. Draco meteor is there to just take out stuff. Psyshock is there for when i cant afford to switch in or lose precious sp.atk. Thunder is there to get rid of rain teams. and has proven to be very valuable. surf is there...idk why surf is there.

arcanine is pretty cool. but sometimes he just cant keep up with the rest even with extreme speed. he's not exactly bad but hes not the best either. I feel like he very good but just hasnt had the oppertunity to shne like venusaur. i often use him for making venusaur, scrafty and latios's life a lot easier. he either weakens the opposing team to make sweeping easier or picks off the weaker ones that my sweepers couldnt kill.

Scrafty is a devil. I chose him because he does well in all weathers. he drain punches politoeds, ttars and abomasnows to death. he swithes in on ferrothorns and gets +1or 2atk and spd from dd and goes on to sweep.my only doubts with him are lifeorb and shed skin.lifeorb has saved and kicked my ass on numerous occaisons. and shed skin has proven to be very nessecary but it just mskes me wonder what will i be able to acclomplish with moxie.

espeon helps give scraft and saur enough def to set up and bounces back sr and spikes at the other team.

thats all please rate comment annd subscribe lol wrong account
btw look for me on PO its me Canadian Brandon.

Hi

Interesting Sun team you have here. I like the general idea of this team but there are some changes that can be made to make it more effective.

First of all, I suggest Darmanitan instead of Arcanine. Darmanitan does basically the same thing but it has a higher base Attack stat to back it up. To make up for the lack of Speed (with the loss of ExtremeSpeed) a Choice Scarf would be the preferred item. An Adamant nature with an EV spread of 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe will suffice. As far as the moveset goes as set of U-turn / Rock Slide / Flare Blitz / Superpower will fit best. As a nitpick Darmanitan will also help you with your Heatran weakness.

You're pretty weak to Volcarona as well. An easy fix for this is to use Dragonite over Latios as the Dragon of choice. Dragonite can handle Volcarona and similar threats pretty good while it also provides you with an offensive powerhouse in return. I think a Dragon Dance variant will fit your team nicely, especially since you have Dual Screen support. A moveset of Dragon Dance / Fire Punch / Dragon Claw / ExtremeSpeed and an EV spread of 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spe with an Adamant nature and Leftovers as the held item will be more then good enough. Obviously you could use Earthquake or Roost instead of ExtremeSpeed to as it's just a matter of personal preference but I found ExtremeSpeed to be a lifesaving move on occasions. Of course using Dragonite will make you even weaker to Rock-type attacks and Stealth Rock, so that's why I you might like my next suggestion.

My last suggestion can help you with your lack of a Rapid Spinner and more importantly, a Stealth Rock user. A Sun team obviously has pokes with a nasty weakness to Stealth Rock so a Spinner would really help you out. A solid choice here is Donphan, who can be used over Scrafty, who is your least useful poke at the moment and is the easiest to replace. Donphan will provide you with a Rock-resist and SR + Spin support. As an added bonus it also has Ice Shard to deal Dragonite (the most used pokemon) reasonably hard, despite no STAB and low base power. As mentioned the preferred moveset will be Stealth Rock / Rapid Spin / Ice Shard / Earthquake. For the EV spread, the standard 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def with an Adamant nature is solid enough. Obviously Leftovers is the item to go here.

As for as smaller suggestions go, you could run a slightly different Ninetales set. Roar can be used over Hidden Power (Electric) to prevent pokes as Cosmic Power Sigilpyh, Calm Mind Latias, Volcarona, etc to use Ninetales as set up fodder or just to screw over Baton Pass (SmashPass) teams in general. Alternatively Will-o-Wisp and/ or Protect can be used over Hypnosis and/ or Toxic to cripple physical attacker (Tyranitar, etc). Likewise an even bulkier EV spread can be used on Ninetales. A spread of 252 HP / 192 SDef / 64 Spe with a Calm will help it take special hits better (nothing on your team likes to take moves as Draco Meteor so Ninetales will definitely appreciate as much bulk as possible), especially when screens are up. You will still maintain enough Speed to outspeed opposing weather starters to cripple them with a status move of you liking.

If you want Espeon to set up screens repeatedly, you could try out Morning Sun instead of Hidden Power [Fighting] for a higher longevity (it recovers 66% when the Sun is up).

Shell Smash Cloyster is still a big threat to this team as at +2 it outspeeds and kills everything on this team. The easiest way to handle this is to run a Timid nature on Venusaur which allows it to outspeed Cloyster after a Shell Smash. You won't miss the drop in power when you manage to get a Growth in. Talking about Venusaur, you could also try out Black Sludge (or Leftovers) as the item instead of the Life Orb you using now. There will be a little drop in power, but again; you won't notice that once Venusaur gets a Growth under its belt. The 6% recovery every turn will help out when you have to take repeated Water-type attacks.

Hope these suggestions helped and good luck with the team.

thanx for the advice delko i am excited to try out darmanitan and the other sets but am a little reluctant to try out dragonite and donphan but i will try them both out just to make sure. the main reason i dont want to use donphan is because ive actually found scrafty to be one of the most useful pokemon on my team
however what u said about rapid spin does make a good point
thank u

also i havent found volcarona a threat to this team because i havent really faced it yet and the few times that i have i demolished it with sludge bomb

It sets up on pretty much any one of your Pokemon besides Latios, unless it's at -2 and proceed to sweep. So unless you have Light Screen up, you're likely to be swept.
