Hey guys! I need your help.
A few day ago I decided I was going to play some more creative teams, then among others teams I came up with this idea: a team based on a Choice Band Scyther.
The idea is simple: Scyther have great speed and decent attack. With technician it can raise the base damage of dual wingbeat from 40 to 60. So if I play it with choice band, it's going to do a lot of damage.
When I started building the team I stopped into two conclusions:
I need to have great both hazard and speed control, so Scyther can be able to sweep the enemys.
This is the best ideas that I got until now. It's not that good but I think that with your help I can build a more consistent team.
Scyther @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dual Wingbeat
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Bug Bite
The ROCKSTAR of the team. Dual wingbeat as the main flying-type stab, bug bite as bug-type stab. U-Turn for momentum and Knock Off for coverage and utility.
Druddigon @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Glare
- Taunt
- Dragon Tail
- Stealth Rock
A great support. With glare I have 100% chance of paralyzing the enemy and halving their speed. With Glare I'm also able to paralyze ground types. Taunt to trap some idiots, stealth rock for hazard setting and dragon tail because of the utility of the move.
Corsola-Galar @ Eviolite
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Night Shade
- Strength Sap
- Will-O-Wisp
- Haze
I have nothing to say about this mon that you don't know. I think it's one of the most OP mons in OU right now.
Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Mirror Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Defog
- Brave Bird
- Iron Head
Corviknight as a defoger because Scyther can't enter in the battle with rocks on it.
Hatterene (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Mystical Fire
- Psyshock
- Draining Kiss
Hatterene is here mainly because of magic bounce as a attempt to have a better hazard control.
Araquanid @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Water Bubble
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Liquidation
- Leech Life
- Sticky Web
- Magic Coat
Another speed control with stick web and some coverage for special fire type threats.
What pokemon's should I consider in this team? How can I improve Scyther's chances of being a monster in this team.
