I call this the Rogue team because for a while now I have been wandering around the competitive scene, very much a noob, battling and coming up with strategies on my own and only using the smogon site to help me along. This team works well for me on the shoddy ladder.
Smeargle@choice scarf
Trick
Spore
Rapid Spin
Destiny Bond
EVs: 252 speed, 252 defense
IVs: 0 in Special defense
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Own tempo
This makes any lead pokemon that stealth rocks hopeless (i.e bronzong, azelf). Trick on the stealth rock, spore on the switch and rapid spin away the rocks. Destiny bond is present due to the many amount of pokemon that try to down smeargle in one, hopefully it being faster than them or still has choice scarf. 252 EVs in defense so it isn't punished by priority moves and 0 IVs in special defense to maximise the chances of smeargle being KO'd when it uses destiny bond.
Gliscor@yache berry
Sword Dance
Rock Polish
Baton Pass
Earthquake
EVs: 252 hp, 196 Sp Defense, 60 speed
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Hyper Cutter
I switch gliscor in if smeargle has put the lead to sleep. Sometimes the lead stays in giving gliscor time to set up and baton pass. If not gliscor has the defenses to take the hits (plus this gliscor is often mistaken for a stealth rocker). I gave the standard baton passer earthquake over taunt so if needs must it can do some sweeping of its own.
Kingdra@leftovers
Rain Dance
Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Outrage
EVs: 252 attack, 180 hp, 76 speed
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Swift Swim
My Main sweeper, the one Gliscor mainly baton passes too. If gliscor fails it has the means to set itself up. It's a killer in battle and even the empoleons have trouble with a sword danced, rock polished kingdra. Its also good against sandstorm teams as it can cancel the weather effect and sweep the ones that would come out to set it back up and of course rain dance teams only help this guy.
Blissey@leftovers
Aromatherapy
Calm Mind
Ice Beam
Softboiled
EVs: 252 hp, 252 defense, 6 sp defense
Nature:Calm
Ability: Natural Cure
Due to the many pokemon that try to paralyze and burn my sweepers a blissey with aromatherapy seemed a must. Toxic, Protect and Softboiled to get some unprepared pokemon down. I have decided to maximise blisseys natural stats so it stands a better chance vs the common calm mind latios. Im unsure about this pokemon though.
Jirachi@expert belt
Iron Head
Thunder punch
Fire Punch
Ice Punch
EVs: 252 attack, 252 speed, 6 hp
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Serene Grace
This pokemon deals with sword danced scizor in one move, gyrados in one move, salamence in one move and many others. The typing allows me to even switch in take the hit and hit them back. The serence grace on thunder punch, fire punch and ice punch ain't too shabby either. And we all know how annoying jirachi is with Iron head :). With sword dance and/or rock polish from gliscor this pokemon is almost unstoppable.
Gengar@life orb
Psychic
Thunberbolt
Shadow ball
Focus Blast
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 sp attack, 252 speed, 6 hp
Ability: Levitate
The revenge killer. Psychic comes in useful against the common infernape and machamp and other fighting pokemon that hit super effectively 3 out of 6 of my team. Its often a surprise as well. Infernape leads that want to fake out and mach punch my smeargle often have to face gengar instead. The other moves give as good coverage as possible.
There you have it :) my team. My first team. My opinion is I think my team is too dependant upon jirachi to hit them usual OU threats. If she goes down its hard to recover from.
Please rate and advise. It would be much appreciated :)
