Roselia is a niche defensive entry hazard setter thanks to having Spikes, Toxic Spikes, reliable recovery, and a good defensive typing that allows it to check common attacker in Sawk and Thwackey. Spikes is Roselia's main method of dealing consistent damage to wear down the opposing team; however, Toxic Spikes is more powerful against bulkier builds or in conjunction with Pokemon that use Hex such as Rotom. Poison Point is used over Natural Cure to punish Pokemon such as Thwackey and Sawk. The EV spread avoids getting 2HKOed by Sawk while outspeeding Adamant Rhydon and Carracosta.

Roselia fits well on balance teams, providing Spikes support to wear down the opposing team and checking common Pokemon such as Thwackey and Sawk. Coalossal and Poliwrath make excellent teammates for Roselia, forming a Fire / Water / Grass core. Coalossal provides Stealth Rock and entry hazard removal with Rapid Spin, while Poliwrath can phaze foes out with Circle Throw, racking up Spikes damage. Both partners also resist Fire and Ice, which Roselia is vulnerable too. Psychic- and Flying-types are still problematic, however, so teammates such as Alolan Persian and Klinklang work well to help cover them. Kangaskhan works great as a teammate, reaping the benefits from entry hazard support by making Fake Out more threatening and taking advantage of the additional chip damage needed to 2HKO bulky foes such as Miltank and Tangela once its Eviolite is removed. Pawniard can help by using Knock Off to remove opponents Heavy-Duty Boots, in addition to threatening entry hazard removers such as Articuno and Altaria thanks to Defiant.

Sleep Powder can be used to cripple switch-ins such as Rapidash and Klinklang, however it is difficult to fit thanks to Roselia needing both of its STAB moves to avoid being easily walled and Synthesis to keep it healthy throughout the game. Natural Cure can be used to cure status, however is already immune to Sleep Powder and poison, and fishing for poison with Poison Point against Sawk and Thwackey is often preferred.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Entry Hazard Removal*: Articuno, Altaria, and Coalossal can switch in and remove Spikes. All three can also threaten Roselia with their STAB attacks.

**Fire-types**: Rapidash and Ninetales can switch into Roselia and then precede to outspeed and OHKO it with their STAB attacks. They do fear switching into Sludge Bomb, as the poison chance can prevent them from consistently checking Roselia.

**Ice-types**: Froslass and Jynx can switch into Roselia and then precede to outspeed and OHKO it with their STAB attacks.

**Psychic-types**: Galarian Rapidash, Silvally-Psychic, and Beheeyem can all threaten Roselia with their STAB attacks. Galarian Rapidash needs to be cautious of switching into Sludge Bomb, however.

**Flying-types**: Unfezant and Silvally-Flying can safely switch into Roselia thanks to their resistance to Giga Drain and immunity to Spikes, and OHKO Roselia with their STAB attacks. Golbat is particularly notable as it resist both of Roselia's STAB attacks and cannot be poisoned.

**Steel-types**: Klinklang can easily switch into Roselia's STAB attacks. It can then setup a Substitute and Shift Gear. Pawniard and Mawile can also safely switch into Roselia, setting up a Swords Dance and threatening it out with their STAB attacks.

Having access to Spikes and Toxic Spikes paired with its good defensive typing enables Roselia to perform as a niche defensive entry hazard setter. Spikes is Roselia's main method of dealing consistent damage to wear down the opposing team, however Toxic Spikes can be used against bulkier builds or in conjunction with Pokemon that use Hex such as Rotom. Sludge Bomb targets Tangela, Thwackey, and Alcremie for super effective damage, in addition to being its best option to target incoming Fire- and Flying-types. Giga Drain hits Rhydon, Stunfisk, and Poliwrath as well as providing some recovery. Synthesis however its Roselia's main form of recovery and help keeps it healthy throughout the match. (There isn't really any need to explain what STAB moves/Synthesis do since they are very obvious; you can mention it has reliable recovery early on adding to its uniqueness as a Spiker in the first couple lines but it doesn't need its own line) Poison Point is used over Natural Cure to punish Pokemon such as Thwackey and Sawk from making contact. The EV spread maximises Roselia's Defense allowing it to not get 2HKOed by Sawk while outspeeding Rhydon, Carracosta, and Poliwrath.

Sleep Powder can be used to cripple switch-ins such as Rapidash and Klinklang, however it is difficult to fit thanks to Roselia needing it dual STAB's to not be exploitable, in addition to Synthesis necessity to keep it healthy throughout the game.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Rapidash and Ninetales can switch into Roselia and then precede to outspeed and OHKO it with their STAB attacks. Sludge Bomb can be troublesome however if it gets the poison as it makes checking Roselia harder long term.

**Ice-types**: Froslass and Jyxn Jynx can switch into Roselia and then precede to outspeed and OHKO it with their STAB attacks.

**Psychic-types**: Galarian Rapidash, Silvally-Psychic, and Beheeyem can all threaten Roselia with their STAB attacks. Galarian Rapidash needs to be cautious of switching into Sludge Bomb however.

**Flying-types**: Unfezant and Silvally-Flying are immune to Spikes and resist Giga Drain so can switch in comfortably and OHKO Roselia with their STAB attacks. (Could also mention Golbat in particular as it can't be Poisoned)

**Klinklang**: Klinklang can easily switch into Roselia's STAB attacks, being resistant to Giga Drain and immune to Sludge Bomb. It can then setup a Substitute and Shift Gear.

**Entry Hazard Removal*: Articuno, Altaria, and Coalossal can switch in and remove any Spikes that Roselia sets up. All three can also threaten Roselia with their STAB attacks.

Having access to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, reliable recovery and a good defensive typing (i think you can elaborate a bit more on this, i.e. toxic immunity and resists to some common attackers) enables Roselia to perform as a niche defensive entry hazard setter. The EV spread maximises Roselia's Defense allowing it to not get 2HKOed by Sawk while outspeeding Adamant Rhydon, Carracosta, and Poliwrath -> it doesn't really matter especially when the relevant poliwrath for roselia runs specs (outspeeding resttalk doesn't really matter for roselia).

I would like to see more offensive partners that help keeping hazards up and can remove boots, or just that love spikes.
