Roses are Red, Empoleon's Blue [OU RMT]

This is my first competitive Pokemon team that has went through testing so please bear with me here. Feel free to make any changes. Thanks!

Here We Go!
I decided to make a team based on SubPetaya Empoleon. This thing has the power to totally decimate teams in the late game, so lets get started!

Roserade (M) @Focus Sash
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpAtk/252 Spd/4 HP
Nature: Timid (+Speed,-Attack)
-Sleep Powder
-Poison Spikes
-Leaf Storm
-Hidden Power (Ice)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I needed something that could set up a guaranteed entry hazard that could cripple most of Empoleon's counters. Toxic spikes was the obvious choice. A fast sleep and 75% chance of two layers of toxic spikes. What more could you ask for? Leaf storm tears apart Swamp and other waters that pose a threat to Empoleon. Not sure about HP Fire or Ice. Ice takes out dragons, but fire takes out annoying steels like Magnezone. Opinions?
Rotom-H (M) @Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/168 Def/88 Sp.Def
Nature: Bold (+Defence,-Attack)
-Thunderbolt
-Will-O-Wisp
-Overheat
-Trick
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
An interesting set. This Rotom's job is to cripple anything that might stand in the way of a sweep. I'd usually bring this in on a support poke (Bliss, Skarm, Bronzong) or on something that needs a set up (DD Gyra, DD Mence etc.) and use trick. Then make my move from there. Overheat destroys Scizor and T-Bolt for STAB. Sadly, I lose against other Rotoms, but they can be handled by the rest of my team.

Celebi @Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/220 Def/36 Spd
Nature: Bold (+Defense,-Attack)
-Grass Knot
-Leech Seed
-Recover
-T-Wave
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pretty standard Celebi. Really not much to say here. Helps clean up Swampert if Roserade gets taken out and Pseudo-hazes with Leech Seed. She provides valuable support that my team needs. I'm really not sure about the last slot. I'm thinking an attacking move or SR. Earth Power might help with the ground coverage my team needs, but SR would benefit Empoleon nicely. Opinions?
Scizor (M) @Choice Band
Ability: Techincian
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 HP
Nature: Adamant (+Attack,-Sp. Attack)
-Bullet Punch
-Superpower
-U-Turn
-Pursuit
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, I love CB Scizor as much as the next guy, and the next guy, and the next guy. You get the point. He's a great Pokemon and can mow down teams that aren't preparded for him. However, I really feel that he's doing more harm than good to my team, adding a third fire weakness and he easily gets revenged killed. For me, three weaknessess of a main attacking type is a bit too much for me. Really want to replace him, but I dont know what to replace him with. Any suggesstions would greatly be appreciated.

Salamence (M) @Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk/80 Sp.Atk/176 Spd
Nature: Naughty (+Attack,-Sp.Def)
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Fire Blast
-Hydro Pump
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
IMO ScarfMence is a very underrated threat. People usually think I'm banded and switch into something like ScarfNite only to get outsped and taken down by an Outrage. Mainly serves as my revenge killer against thinks that Empoleon can't take down (Bliss, Tentacruel etc), but he has also swept entire teams for me. My first time using a ScarfMence and I'm shocked at how powerful it is. Certainly a force to be reckoned with in the current metagame.
Empoleon (M) @Petaya Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 12 HP/12 Def./252 Sp.Atk/232 Spd
Nature: Modest (+Sp.Attack,-Attack)
-Agility
-Substitute
-Surf
-Grass Knot
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ahh..the star of the show! Once all of Empoleon's threats are removed, all I need is an agility and a couple of subs for my Petaya to activate. Then it's smooth sailing for the victory. Grass Knot is there for coverage against a hidden Vaporeon or a late game Swampert. It also helps me take out opposing Empoleons if they carry ice beam. I find that I really need entry hazard support for the sweep to be successful. Stuff like Vaporeon and Tentacruel can be huge problems if they are not dealt with beforehand.

Thanks for reading everyone! :toast:

You have a HUGE weakness to Mix Ape and Scarf Heatran. I would suggest replacing Celebi as you already have a grass type (Roserade). I really see no synergy here to be honest, you have three pokemon weak to fire, it leaves you defenseless throughout an entire game. Salamence can't be switched in for any fire type attacks every time, especially if stealth rock is in play. You should consider replacing Celebi for a support Vaporeon with wish & protect or a Scarf Heatran. I see you have no pokemon in your team to set up stealth rock, its important to have rocks set up, I would replace Scizor for a Gliscor as it helps Empoleon with fighting coverage and now you have an essential Lucario counter.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Nature: Bold
Wish
Protect
Surf
Roar / Hp Electric

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
Evs: 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 Atk
Nature: Jolly
Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Roost
Taunt

Dude, drop the scarf on Salamence as you have no spinner which means that he is not coming in often. Also, who the hell uses Scarfnite????
Ice Beam I think is better on Empoleon as you have water types covered.
However your team loses on a Offensive Suicune as it rips apart your entire team.
Give Rotom Shadow Ball over Will-o-wisp so that it can at least hid Latias hard, besides, locking yourself in a status move is often pretty bad.

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
Evs: 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 Atk
Nature: Jolly
Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Roost
Taunt

Taken directly from Devil Wears Prada - This is exactly what you need. Something to take Twave, something to set up Rocks, and something to stop Stall. It's the big package. I would also take his suggestion and take out Celebi, as it doesn't do too much for your team.

A Scarf Tyranitar would fit in the place of celebi more efficiently than the Vaporeon would. Why? Because it brings out the Bulky waters that Empoleon dislikes. It's also a necessary Fire resistance. It draws out Swampert and Suicune so that they are toxic'd early on, and therefore are easier to take down. It will also allow you to take out Latias as well as Gengar, who is somewhat of a problem if you drop Scizor for Gliscor. Once you make these changes, you can now take off Grass Knot from Empoleon, add Ice Beam, and sweep like no other. :)

Oh and no offense, Scarf Mence is dumb. Theres 174023 other sets for it that I would suggest using. Most namely, the MixMence, because Draco Meteor shits on pretty much everything. Weakening opponts = good

Thanks for the help everyone! Especially the Gliscor set. I'll also look into a different Mence set. One last question. For Roserade which HP would be better against some of the more common leads? I'm still stuck in between fire/ice ><

Thanks again! :)

Hp fire: You can hit Scizor if you haven't taken prior damage. You can hit Metagross, although you counter it just fine with Gliscor + Rotom. You lose the speed tie with other Roserades, since most run HP Ice now. You OhKO Fortress, but what's wrong with putting em to sleep? You can hit Magnezone. They are so popular. >_>

Hp Ice: you ensure that you atleast have a chance to win a speed tie. You KO Salamence that try to DD up on you after you put something to sleep. You KO Anti-Lead Dragonites. You KO Gliscor that attempts to taunt you when you sleep powder. You 2hko Aerodactyl while they taunt and stealth rock, and you keep your Special Attack where it is.

You tell me.

Well here's your usual TS Empo team, but nonetheless its a good team and im going to try to help you out a bit.

First, I want to point out a nitpick on Empo, I suggest using Surf over GK since the reason you're using TS are for all the bulky waters and bliss you have trouble with. As a result I see no point in using GK, but instead Ice Beam for all those key flyers.

Next, I want to suggest changing Scizor's spread to better handle the Special Attacks you will come on in like Draco Meteors, Surfs, Tbolts, and countless others tht can hit Scizor hard. This is the set - Scizor @Choice Band | 168 HP | 176 Atk | 160 SpD | 4 Spe with same moves. I really like the idea of using Scizor with strong U-turns to weaken the opposition for Empoleon so no problem there.

Also, I see a strong Heatran weakness on your team since nothing really sponges it hits well including Mence and Empo that resist, so I want to recommend changing your Celebi into a Scarftran (...maybe a Subtran also to abuse TS, but without wish support won't last too long), Mixpert, or Latias. Scarftran acts as a safe check to Luke and Scizor, and overall likes having TS on the field at the end acting as a late game sweeper. Swampert, on the other hand, checks DDmence and DDtar, provides handy electric immunity, and to an extent likes TS on the field b\c of his bulk. Lastly, Latias has an assortment of resistances, abuses TS especially if it has recovery, and checks Infernape which currently hurts your team. Overall I see these switches would need to be tested and personally see who you like best. But you definitely have to address your Heatran and plainly fire weakness. I wanted to note I was going to recommend Tormentran, but gets walled by Heatran itself, and Suicune but shares electric weakness with Empo.

Finally, I want to recommend changing Scarfmence to Mixmence or even DDmence since he likes Swampert off the field. Also, on Rotom I see that set not working as a revenge killer more like a crippler, so you either make it a complete scarfer or defensive (like Sub, Resttalker, Standard).

Hope this helps and good luck!
