[OVERVIEW]

-Rotom-H's great typing same with Levitate, make him one of the best Rotom formes.
-With his great defensive stats and the access to STAB Volt Switch,he is one of the best pivots in the tier, though he has only access to Pain Split for recovery.
-Thanks to his 86 base Speed he can outspeed some threads like Mamoswine and completely check him with his vulnerability to Ground moves, but he is still slower than a punch of threads like Latias and Zeraora.
-Rotom-H doesn't like Knock Off users due his weakness to Stealth Rock,Krookodile and Zeraora can be really annoying with access to that move and immunity to Electric-type moves.
-Rotom-W can be a better option against Knock Off users and Water-types like Azumarill thanks to his resistance to Stealth Rock and Water moves.
-Rotom-H is a huge thread for bulky Grass-types like Tangrowth and Amoonguss, and he can easily set Nasty Plot against them.
-Though he can gain more occasions to set Nasty Plot, his low 86 base Speed doesn't allow him to outspeed many big threads like Latias and Krookodile, which can easily revenge kill you or set up,becoming a huge thread for you.

move 2: Overheat
move 3: Toxic / Defog
move 4: Pain Split / Defog
item: Heavy-Duty Boots
ability: Levitate
nature: Timid
evs:248 HP / 44EVs / 216 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1
-A STAB Volt Switch is a good move that can deal some cheap damage to your foe while you gain momentum after a switch-in and it can be useful against foes like Latias,Bisharp or Chandelure.
-Overheat is an incredible move with an high base power with which you can easily check Grass- and Steel-types like Zarude,Celesteela,Skarmory or Tangrowth.
-Toxic can be useful to weak your slower foes that wall you like Chandelure.Alternatively, you can also run Will-O-Wisp for physical threads like Kommo-o.
-Pain Split is the only recovery move that can be very useful with a low base 50 HP stats,it can bring you back a lot of ìhealth against counters like Latias and Rhyperior.
-Max EVs investment in HP and 44 EVs in Special Defense allow Rotom-H to minime the damage against faster special attackers like Latias,Alakazam or special attaccker Salamence.
At the same time he isn't get 2HKOed by many of the physical attackers like Mimikyu and Mamoswine.
-216 EVs in Speed with a Timid nature allow you to outspeed every pokemon up to 81 base Speed, like Mamoswine and Gyarados.
-Rotom-H can be a good Defogger thanks to his matchup against Skarmory and Jirachi, but he struggles against setters like Krookodile,Rhyperior and Kommo-o.
-You can run Will-O-Wisp over Toxic or Pain Split to burn physical threads and also get some cheap damage on them.
-You can run max speed EVs to outspeed Suicune and Kommo-o

Paragraph 2
-Latias is a good teammate for Rotom-H,thanks to his resistance to Water-types like Azumarill and Keldeo. From the other side,Rotom-H is a good checker to Mamoswine and Scizor, that are a big thread for Latias.
-Scizor's Steel typing and access to Bullet Punch make him a solid checker to Rock-types like Nihilego and Terrakion which are a problem for Rotom-H.
-Bulky Grass-types like Tangrowth and Tapu Bulu can help Rotom-H against Zeraora,Azumarill and Krookodile.
-Substitute + Calm Mind users like Primarina and Kyurem can be a good option to your team if they can join after a Volt Switch or against a foe weakened by Toxic.
-Azumarill,Mimikyu,Slowbro or Primarina can also be some good teammates because they can check threads like Latias,Krookodile and Kommo-o.

[SET]
name: Nasty Plot
move 1: Nasty Plot
move 2: Overheat
move 3: Discharge
move 4: Pain Split/Toxic
item: Heavy-Duty Boots
ability: Levitate
nature: Timid
evs:248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1
-Nasty Plot allows Rotom-H to function as a sweeper.A +2 Overheat easily OHKOes Mamoswine,Tangrowth,Thundurus-Therian,Zeraora,Conkeldurr and after Stealth Rock it OHKOes Hatterene,Kyurem and Primarina.
-Discharge is Rotom's main STAB move that deals massive damage after a Nasty Plot and also has a 30% chance of paralyzing your foe.
-Pain Split can be a useful recovery move when you get lower HP and Toxic can be useful for take some cheap on the foe.
-248 HP EVs combined to his decent base Defensive stats, allows you to set Nasty Plot without many problems.
-252 Speed EVs with a Timid Nature allows you to outspeed a large amount of pokemon in the tiers and some threads like Kingdra,Gyarados,Volcanion and Togekiss.

Paragraph 2

-Rotom-H isn't that fast and he can struggle against a lot of checks like Krookodile,Keldeo or Terrakion and he might need to switch against them and late them set-up against you.
-Due all this threads,he appreciates teammates that helps him against his threads, like Scizor for Rock-types and Zeraora for Water-types.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
-You can run Defog over Pain Split or Thunderbolt over Discharge, gaining a 10 base damage but losing 20% of paralyzing your foe.
-You can run Choice Scarf over Heavy-Duty Boots and Trick over Pain Split,so you will be able to lock your threads like Primarina.
-Again,you could run Will-O-Wisp for physical threads.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Rock-types**: Faster Rock-types like Lycanroc and Terrakion can easily sweep you.Rhyperior can wall you and he kills you without many problems.

**Ground-types** Ground-types can absorb your Volt Switch and be very annoying.Krookodile and Mamoswine can Knock Off you and make you too vulnerable to Stealth Rocks.Quagsire and Gastrodon can Toxic you and knock you out if they manage good Pain Split.
Also Nidoqueen can be a problem cause she 2HKOes you and resists to an Overheat.

**Dragon-types** Dragon-types resists to your STAB moves and can eventually set-up on you.Kyurem can set-up Substitute or knock you out with Draco Meteor if he has Choice Specs. Also Kommo-o can set-up against you and Zygarde-10% can knock you out with Thousand Arrows.

**Water-types** Water types can be a problem for Rotom-H if you don't kill them before they do.If you use Choice Scarf you can get into Gyarados after he did Dragon Dance or into Keldeo, but Azumarill can still knock you out with Aqua Jet.Volcanion might also be annoying due his ability Water Absorb.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Rotom-H's great typing makes him one of the best Rotom formes, This isn't relevant info particularly about it being one of the best rotom formes he has 9 resistances there's no reference to his ability here either, which is part of what makes him a solid mamo check and he can pivot common threads like Salamence,Zeraora,Scizor,Blaziken Blaziken is banned???,Tapu Bulu and Bisharp. Too many examples here, also not a good zeraora or bisharp pivot because it really doesn't want to take knock off.
  • With his great defensive stats and the access to STAB Volt Switch,he is one of the best pivots in the tier.
  • He has also a 86 base Speed that allows him to outspeed many threads in the meta and becoming a nice sweeper. When you talk about stuff like this, you should be giving specific applied examples, what stuff can he outspeed because of his speed etc that makes him relevant? ie. Mamoswine. A big problem I have with this statement though is that the defensive sets don't actually run max speed in the slightest though which makes this statement a bit dodgy, and its speed is honestly kinda a downside at times because its not that great.
  • Something you haven't covered here is some of its positives as an electric type pivot, in that it actually threatens bulky grass types that tend to be used a lot to check Zeraora like amoong / tangrowth.
  • You should also comment on Nasty Plot sets here, you've adressed pivot sets earlier but there's no comment on how these sets can offer some cool wallbreakers that pressure stuff like sciz/bulu and offer defensive utility vs them still.
You should adress both the positives and negatives of a Pokemon in the overview. You have only adressed the positives here. Some stuff you should consider talking about -

-> Competition against Rotom-W, much better answer to mamo and krook etc because its not Knock vulnerable like rotom-h is, water resistance that lets it pressure azu better.
-> Low base HP and overreliance on pain split for healing.
-> Gives opportunities to a lot of top wallbreakers like Terrakion, Latias, Kommo-o etc because of its low speed and inability to hit the latter two particularly hard. Especially rough for NP sets which get easily revenged by this stuff and switched into cause no volt switch.

[SET]
name: Pivot You were missing spaces between the ":" and the word after, please make sure to check for stuff like this

move 2: Overheat
move 3: Defog / Toxic Toxic / Defog
move 4: Pain Split / Toxic Defog
item: Heavy-Duty Boots
ability: Levitate
nature: Calm
evs: 248 HP / 92 SpD / 168 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1
  • A STAB Volt Switch is a good move that can deal some cheap damage to your foe while you gain momentum after a switch-in more relevant would be to give some examples of stuff that you tend to click volt switch against as they come in, stuff like latias and kommo-o.
  • Overheat is an incredible move with 130 base power + STAB you really dont need to state this, can just say its high base power, people are expected to know dex info like whether its STAB or its BP in these analyses and you can easily check Grass- and Steel-types like Zarude,Celesteela,Skarmory,Jirachi,Tangrowth,Bisharp and Magnezone. Far too many examples, limit this to about 3-4 at max.
  • Thanks to his Special Defense bulk,Rotom-H can easily Defog against a Special pokemon or a Grass- Steel-type pokemon. I don't see the link between his spdef and this. You should talk about how defog makes rotom-heat a lot more passive without toxic or unable to reliably check stuff like sciz without pain split. Comment on its matchups versus setters too; nice matchup versus Skarm Spikes but struggles with Kommo-o and Krook as rocker.s
  • Power Pain not Power Split is the only recovery move that can be very useful with a low base 50 HP stats. You should be commenting on how it can let heattom heal back a lot of its hp as pokemon like lati / rhyp etc switch in, helping ti check stuff like sciz more consistently.
  • Max EVs investment in HP and 92 EVs in Special Defense and a Calm nature allow Rotom-H to prevent being 2HKOed by special attackers like Life Orb Latias,Focus Sash Alakazam, specially defensive Slowking, special attacker Salamence and Reuniclus. 252 SpA Life Orb Latias Draco Meteor over 2 turns vs. 248 HP / 92+ SpD Rotom-Heat: 292-344 (96.3 - 113.5%) -- 75% chance to 2HKO This isn't even true, please check all of your calcs when you make these sort of statements.
  • At the same time he isn't get 2HKOed by many of the physical attackers like Zeraora,Tapu bulu,Cobalion and Mamoswine. Again rotom-heat should not be trying to check Zeraora, its extremely vulnerable to knock off and has no way of healing off volt switch damage on switch in either. Cobalion is also not a very relevant example here.
  • 168 EVs in Speed allow you to outspeed every pokemon up to 61 base Speed. Give specific examples instead of just claiming base 61 speed.
  • You can run Toxic over Defog or Pain Split,to get cheap damage on the foe,or you can choose Will-O-Wisp to burn physical threads and also get some cheap on them. This should be listed above the ev spread explanation. Give examples of what you cripple with it like Latias. "cheap damage" is also really bad wording to use here and doens't really mean anything.
  • You can also run max HP and Speed EVs with Timide nature to outspeed faster foes, like Kingdra,Mamoswine,Kommo-o and Gyarados. Kingdra not a relevant example. More relevant examples here would be Kommo-, Chandelure, and Mamoswine. (Gyara is relevant but ur unlikely to necessarily get in against it at +0 very easily)

Paragraph 2
  • Rotom-H appreciates wallbreakers that can kill foes after a Volt Switch, like Krookodile and Latias. What do you mean here? are these the pokemon you bring in teh wallbreakers against, or the wallbreakers themselves? clearly not the 1st cause krook but this isn't worded well. Give examples of the sort of Pokemon rotom-heat brings in with Volt switch spcifically, ie. latias, kommo-o, salamence, and then talk about your wallbreakers. You should also comment on some synergy these Pokemon might have with Rotom, ie. that lati apprecicates a check to steel types like sciz / jirachi and a mamo check. Krookodile also isn't really a wallbreaker per se, you might want to consider mentioning teammates like Mamoswine, Azumarill etc instead.
  • You can also use pokemon weak to Ground-type and use Rotom-H as a safe switch-in,but you need to be careful at opponent's predicts. This is irrelevant information in its current state. You can definitely bring up specific teammates that struggle with ground types and appreciate a switch in to mamo for instance, but reemember that rotom-heat is a very poor swithc in to nidoqueen and krookodile.
  • Scizor can be a good partner due his Steel-type resisting to Rock-type moves, this isn't even true, its bug typing removes this weakness. It can however help to pressure these roc-types like nihilego and terrakion for rotom-heat. and his access to Bullet Punch that can kill weakened foes. Again irrelevant information here, give more detail here or drop the comment.
  • Kyurem can be good as well due his resistance to Water-type moves and his opportunity to set Substitute if u gain momentum. Kyurem is fine as a mention but again you need more examples, what stuff does it set subs up against when you bring it in? this whole resistance to water typing stuff is dodgy too, kyurem cannot check keldeo or azumarill for instance.
  • Scarf Salamence can be a good combo due his Intimidate ability which weakes physical threads. no, scarf salamence is unviable.
some stuff you are really missing here that needs to be commented on ->

-> Bulky grass types that can check stuff like zeraora, azu, keldeo etc for rotom-heat.
-> Switch ins to threats like Latias and Kommo-o that force rotom-heat out, for instance Slowking. Will let you figure out other examples and how to integrate this point.
-> Teammates that appreciate Rotom-H being able to cripple pokemon like latias with Toxic. For instance you can bring up teammates like Suicune or Slowbro-Galar here, calm mind sets really appreciate latias being crippled so they can actually break through them.

  • Scizor can be a good partner due his Steel-type resisting to Rock-type moves, and his access to Bullet Punch that can kill weakened foes.es that would be a good idea to pair with this Pokemon to help it fulfil its role.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Would mention a Choice Scarf set here, explain its obvious downsides and some of its upsides with Trick.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Rock-types**: Rock-types like Rhyperior,Terrakion and Lycanroc can easily sweep Rotom-H. This isn't what Sweep means. Also pokemon using rock moves like Krookodile can be a big threat. Krookodile is a threat anyway as it can volt block you at least once and pressures you with Knock Off. You should be commenting on how the rock types are faster, how rhyperior walls you completely, and mention nihilego too.

**Haxorus**: Haxorus can run both Mold Breaker and Earthquake and can easily kill Rotom-H on a switch-in. Not very relevant Pokemon and it really doesn't deserve its own point.

**Keldeo Water-types**: Keldeo is a huge problem against Rotom-H due his access to STAB moves that OHKOes him and Flip Turn that can allow your enemy to gain momentum. Why only bring up Keldeo? Rotom-Heat has problems with other water types not just rotom-heat. Please discuss water-types in general here.

Other points you haven't brought up here that need to be brought up,

-> Dragon-types, resist your STAB combo and outspeed and pressure you. Latias and Kommo-o can set up against you or force you out with wallbreaker sets, Kyurem can sub against you or threaten you out with a specs draco meteor, Salamence takes advantage of sets lacking pain split. If you want to bring them up, then you can bring up zygarde-10% here too because of thousand arrows.
-> Knock Off and how it makes you vulnerable to rocks, especially from pokemon that you might otherwise try to check like scizor and mamoswine. Also whre i'd bring up the krook thing not above.

This analysis has a great deal of issues that make it uncheckable in its current state. You should put this analysis back into WIP now and consider properly covering all the comments I mention here to do with fomatting and lack of information. Please also check your grammar etc too.

Please click Reply to my post and copy and paste the formatting I have put in the above hide tags. Importantly, things you have labelled as "strategy comments" should either go into the OOs sections, or as additional mentions in the moves mentions. Both of these sections seem fine to go in mentions though honestly, so you can keep them as mentions.

I have only commented on the first of the two sets, the overview, and the checks and counters section. Please work on the Nasty Plot set yourself when you put this back into WIP. If you have any questions, please join the UU discord and ask in the #analyses channel.

We discussed this internally and decided that this analysis is lacking far too much information. Estarossa's check highlights a lot of the issues you initially missed and some of these points just haven't been fleshed out enough even after being updated. The NP set hasn't been changed at all despite being previously asked to do so. I'm going to be locking this analysis. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or another moderator.
