Mienshao @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Ice Spinner
Mienshao rushes into RU! Life Orb Mienshao is a fast wallbreaker and pivot that can offensively pressure many teams, with Regenerator offsetting Life Orb recoil. Knock Off is used to remove Rocky Helmet from Chesnaught and Hippowdon in addition to providing coverage against Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Basculegion-F, Slowbro, and Reuniclus. U-turn is used to pivot out of bad matchups and gain momentum for the team. Ice Spinner is used to hit Flying-types like Noivern and Gligar as well as Amoonguss. Tera Steel gives Mienshao resistances to Psychic-, Fairy-, and Dragon-type moves, which are handy when facing threats like Gardevoir, Mimikyu, and Noivern. Mienshao best fits on bulky offense and balance teams that need a wallbreaker and pivot, so other pivots like Jirachi and Magnezone can form great cores with Mienshao. Entry hazard setters like Gastrodon, Chesnaught, and Hippowdon are great at wearing down the opposing team. Mienshao also works excellently on hazard stack teams due to its ability to remove Heavy Duty Boots from foes. Choice Scarf users such as Krookodile, Gengar, and Jirachi can help to deal with faster threats like Maushold, Noivern, and Talonflame.
