After an Agility, Porygon-Z outpaces the entire RU tier, including Choice Scarf users such as Mienshao, Gengar, and Gardevoir. Shadow Ball hits Ghost-types like Gengar and Basculegion-F, as well as Normal-resistant foes such as Empoleon, Registeel, and Terrakion. Tera Fairy enables Porygon-Z to hit Dark- and Dragon-types such as Umbreon, Cyclizar, and Noivern for super effective damage while resisting revenge killing attempts from Bisharp and Breloom. Porygon-Z is used primarily on teams ranging from hyper offense to balance as a fearsome wallbreaker, but it has trouble getting into the game safely. Pivots such as Mienshao, Jirachi, and Cyclizar let it hit the field safely, bringing Porygon-Z in on physical walls such as Slowbro. Porygon-Z also struggles with Alolan Muk and Blissey, so answers to them like Krookodile and Bisharp are greatly appreciated. In exchange, Porygon-Z can deal with their checks like Slowbro and Quagsire.

Tera Fairy enables Porygon-Z to resist Dark and Fighting-type attacks, which is very useful against revenge killers such as Breloom and Bisharp. While tera fairy does help defensively, the primary reason for it is the offensive coverage. It can hit Dark and Dragon types such as Umbreon, Cyclizar and Noivern for super effective damage. Might need to cut out the defensive part but the offensive use is way more important. Porygon-Z is used primarily on balance teams P-z can fit on teams from HO to balance tbh as a fearsome wallbreaker, but it has trouble getting into the game safely. Pivots such as Mienshao, Jirachi, and Cyclizar let it hit the field safely, bringing Porygon-Z on physical walls such as Slowbro. Porygon-Z also struggles with Alolan-Muk and Blissey, so answers to them like Krookodile and Bisharp are greatly appreciated.
