These were wonderful submissions for such a threat in the meta right now. Virizion Wireless is fitting in nicely and it should since RU seems to be its home for as long as I can remember.

Honorable mentions:

Charizard (check) can live any 1 hit from Virizion and OHKO it right back if carrying Air Slash. Weezing (check) would also be able to wall both STABs but needs to be wary of Zen Headbutt despite it doing 40% maximum; which is why I made it a check. It can come in safely, Wisp it, and recover any HP with Pain Split. Lastly, Silvally-Fairy (check) can come in safely and OHKO with STAB Multi-Attack.

Week 7
The mon being targeted this time is..........

- Rapid Spin
- Protect

Voting will begin Wednesday!

Reserving Steelix

:ss/steelix: :leftovers:
Steelix @ Leftovers
Impish Nature
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

Nominating Steelix as a counter. This Steelix set easily eats any hit from Morpeko, and can switch into literally any attack, and proceed to 1v1 it.

252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko-Hangry Aura Wheel vs. 252 HP / 16+ Def Steelix: 94-110 (26.5 - 31%) -- 10.7% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

This is the best Morpeko can do to Steelix. It can stall turns by protecting on turns where it isn't in Hangry mode, and getting the chance to attack it in Hangry mode, but the problem is eating a hit from Steelix.

0 Atk Steelix Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Morpeko-Hangry: 290-344 (112.8 - 133.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Not very good prospects for Morpeko.

252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko-Hangry Seed Bomb vs. 252 HP / 16+ Def Steelix: 45-55 (12.7 - 15.5%) -- possibly the worst move ever

(In case anyone wondered what Seed Bomb was doing to Steelix - very negligible chip damage)

Reserving Virizion

Submitting Virizion as a check.
Virizion sprite from Sword & Shield

Virizion @ Life Orb / Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Leaf Blade / Synthesis

SD Virizion resists all 3 of Morpeko's attacks while easily KOing back with Close Combat, outspeeding it without a speed boost, and being a generally threatening Pokemon that can set up on Morpeko.

Morpeko cannot 2HKO Virizion after SR, since Aura Wheel does a maximum of 45%. However, Virizion can be chipped by switching in multiple times during a game and/or taking Life Orb recoil. Thus, a bulkier version of SD Virizion can work here; running Leftovers or Synthesis improves its bulk and makes it more able to take hits from Morpeko [and other threats] throughout the match.

252 Atk Life Orb Virizion Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Morpeko: 611-720 (237.7 - 280.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO (lol)

252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko Aura Wheel vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Virizion: 123-146 (37.9 - 45%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Moonblast
- U-turn
- Encore
- Tailwind / Leech Seed
Whimsicott as a check. Whimsicott can only be 3HKOed by Aura Wheel and can KO it back with Moonblast. It can also use U-turn in a switch, and can still check Morpeko one more time (without hazards on the field).
252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko-Hangry Aura Wheel vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Whimsicott: 108-127 (33.3 - 39.1%) -- 13.2% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
4 SpA Whimsicott Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Morpeko-Hangry: 258-306 (100.3 - 119%) -- guaranteed OHKO

vileplume

:ss/Vileplume:
Vileplume @ Black Sludge
Ability: Effect Spore
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain

- Strength Sap
- Growth

:vileplume: is a check to morpeko as it an come in on the electric aura wheels and can threaten morpeko out due to the high damage-output
from giga drain / sludge bomb. vileplume can also come in on rapid spin and seed bomb where the latter is 4x resisted. Vileplume
can also recover up any damage it took via strength sap / giga drain where strength sap lowers the attack-stat of morpeko while giga drain
directly deals damage to morpeko while gaining back health.
However vileplume has to be wary about switching into a dark-type aura wheel as it does a decent amount of damage to it. Therefore
vileplume has a bit of a harder time checking morpeko in the long run especially when it has to come in on hazards.
But overall vileplume is a a very good check as it can not only stay healthy but also damage morpeko at the same time during the game.

calcs:

0 SpA Vileplume Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Morpeko-Hangry: 163-193 (63.4 - 75%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
0 SpA Vileplume Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Morpeko-Hangry: 136-162 (52.9 - 63%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko-Hangry Aura Wheel vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Vileplume: 152-179 (42.9 - 50.5%) -- 44.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko Aura Wheel vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Vileplume: 75-90 (21.1 - 25.4%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko Seed Bomb vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Vileplume: 18-21 (5 - 5.9%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko Rapid Spin vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Vileplume: 47-56 (13.2 - 15.8%) -- possible 9HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery

Gurdurr @ Eviolite
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Defog
- Mach Punch

Gurdurr is an excellent counter to Morpeko, easily switching in and shrugging off all of its attacks. After coming in, it can choose between a guaranteed OHKO with Drain Punch, or a minimum 75% with Mach Punch to deal with it. Gurdurr doesn't take very much damage from anything Morpeko throws at it, which can even let it Defog opposing hazards on Morpeko.

Calcs:
252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko Aura Wheel vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Eviolite Gurdurr: 144-172 (38.5 - 45.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Gurdurr Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Morpeko: 356-422 (138.5 - 164.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Gurdurr Mach Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Morpeko: 192-228 (74.7 - 88.7%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Vikavolt @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 192 HP / 252 SpA / 60 Spe
Modest Nature
- Bug Buzz
- Volt Switch
- Roost
- Sticky Web

Vikavolt is a check to Morpeko as it has a chance to be 3HKO'd by Aura Wheel, however it can switch into every other move and kill it with a Bug Buzz incredibly easily. Not to mention the fact that it can take advantage of it by either healing up, pivoting out into another Pokemon, or just setting up webs, therefore providing amazing utility for its team and doing a lot when it comes to taking advantage of Morpeko.

252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko Aura Wheel vs. 192 HP / 0 Def Vikavolt: 103-121 (30 - 35.2%) -- 24.8% chance to 3HKO

252+ SpA Vikavolt Bug Buzz vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Morpeko: 542-642 (210.8 - 249.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Nominating Drampa as a counter

:Drampa: ->

Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 136 HP / 252 SpA / 120 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Hyper Voice
Drampa is easily able to switch into this set very easily thanks to its dragon typing making it resist electric and sap sipper letting it be immune to Seed Bomb. Every move bar Thunderbolt always knocks out Morpeko in one hit, although this set is able to scout with protect.

252 Atk Life Orb :Morpeko: Aura Wheel vs. 248 HP / 0 Def :Drampa:: 108-127 (30 - 35.3%) -- 26.9% chance to 3HKO

Nominating Avalugg as a counter

Avalugg @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Avalanche
- Recover
- Earthquake / Body Press

hey, it's our new drop avalugg, which arguably is one of the best counters to morpeko. it is able to switch in to any of the moves from morpeko with ease, then proceeding to take the next hit and kill it, or recover off all the damage. being an answer with recovery options in recover is extremely valuable in answering morpeko in the long run of the battle. fun fact, you can even have fun and 3hko morpeko with rapid spin after 3 turns of life orb recoil.
252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko Aura Wheel vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Avalugg: 87-105 (22.1 - 26.7%) -- 21.3% chance to 4HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko Seed Bomb vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Avalugg: 43-51 (10.9 - 12.9%) -- possible 8HKO

0 Atk Avalugg Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Morpeko: 254-300 (98.8 - 116.7%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
252+ Def Avalugg Body Press vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Morpeko: 384-454 (149.4 - 176.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 Atk Avalugg Avalanche vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Morpeko: 228-268 (88.7 - 104.2%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
0 Atk Avalugg Rapid Spin vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Morpeko: 64-76 (24.9 - 29.5%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO

Nominating Togedemaru as a counter
I could have done a choice scarf variant but I like this variant more as it is able to beat other big metagame threats like Raichu-A and Vanniluxe as well.

:togedemaru:
Togedemaru @ Leftovers
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 HP / 72 Def / 132 SpD / 52 Spe
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Spiky Shield
- Iron Head
- Toxic

Togedemaru can use Spiky Shield on the Dark-type Aura Wheel and consistently wall it on the other turn of Hunger Switch thanks to Lightning Rod.
Just to be safe the provided EV spread allow your Togedemaru to survive a Hangry-Mode Aura Wheel after 1 spike.
252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko-Hangry Aura Wheel vs. 252 HP / 72 Def Togedemaru: 247-292 (73.9 - 87.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after 1 layer of Spikes and Leftovers recovery

In a 1v1 it is the idea to toxic on the turn of Hangry Mode since you are able to survive 1 Aura Wheel. Otherwise, it is a protect on Spiky Shield fest.

Nommin' the scarf Kong as a check

Rillaboom @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpDef / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Wood Hammer
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Superpower

As a bonus Rilla can switch into Electric Aura Wheel or Seed Bomb with ease. Even though Morpeko outspeeds at +1, it can't really do much to the Rilla other than Dark type Aura Wheel.

Rilla threatens to KO with 4/4 moves, giving you the choice to u-turn and still KO with a roll, or go for the sure KO with EQ or wood hammer or superpower if playing predictions for switch ins. Basically, click something and profit.

252 Atk Rillaboom U-turn vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Morpeko: 230-272 (89.4 - 105.8%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Rillaboom Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Morpeko: 328-386 (127.6 - 150.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Rillaboom Wood Hammer vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Morpeko: 294-346 (114.3 - 134.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Rillaboom Superpower vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Morpeko: 392-462 (152.5 - 179.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko Aura Wheel vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Rillaboom: 103-121 (30.2 - 35.4%) -- 31.3% chance to 3HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko-Hangry Seed Bomb vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Rillaboom: 49-58 (14.3 - 17%) -- possible 6HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko-Hangry Aura Wheel vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Rillaboom: 207-243 (60.7 - 71.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Passimian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Rock Slide
- U-turn

Check. Can come in cleanly or even on Hangry-Form Aura Wheel since it resists it and OHKO with Close Combat, but it's best to just come in safely and avoid any damage and a possible 2HKO with said Aura Wheel:

252 Atk Passimian Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Morpeko: 576-678 (224.1 - 263.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Life Orb Morpeko-Hangry Aura Wheel
