[SET COMMENTS]
Rusted Sword Great Tusk is an incredibly powerful wallbreaker and sweeper thanks to its strong STAB moves in Headlong Rush and Behemoth Blade, along with a one-time Attack boost from Intrepid Sword. It also offers great utility with access to Rapid Spin and Stealth Rock, allowing it to fulfill multiple roles on hyper offensive teams that often lack room for dedicated hazard setters or removers. As a lead, it can quickly set hazards and apply tremendous offensive pressure, while preventing opponents from setting up their own hazards thanks to Rapid Spin. Rusted Sword Great Tusk fits especially well on Rain offenses, where it can take Fire-type attacks from threats like Eternatus more easily and support its teammates by keeping hazards off the field while setting up its own. This makes Pelipper a great partner, providing weather support and team synergy. Great Tusk struggles against common Water-types such as Urshifu-R, Hisuian Samurott, and Arceus-Water. Teammates like Dragonite, Regieleki, and Raging Bolt help cover these weaknesses, forming a solid core that can handle those threats. In return, Great Tusk helps check Extreme Speed users thanks to its Steel typing and can threaten Altarianite users with a powerful Behemoth Blade. Water-type attackers like Urshifu-R and Basculegion also pair well with Rusted Sword Great Tusk, as they can deal with Ground-type foes such as Arceus Ground and opposing Great Tusk, while also benefiting tremendously from the Rain.
