Sableye's good typing, utility moves, and Prankster ability allow it to check threatening Pokemon like Bewear and Virizion and provide excellent defensive utility for its teammates. Encore locks Pokemon like Silvally-Ghost and the aforementioned Virizion into a setup move like Swords Dance, forcing them out. However, you can replace Encore with Taunt, which prevents defensive Pokemon like Jellicent and Vileplume from recovering, Stealth Rock setters such as Mudsdale and Steelix from setting up Stealth Rock, and Toxic from Pokemon like Salazzle.

Pokemon that resist Fairy such as Steelix, Vileplume, and Weezing can switch into threats like Aromatisse and Silvally-Fairy. Bewear, Copperajah, and the aforementioned Steelix benefit from Sableye's Fighting immunity. Stealth Rock setters such as Mudsdale and Rhydon benefit from Sableye's ability to spinblock Pokemon such as Claydol and Coalossal. Snorlax is an excellent partner for it, as not only does Sableye switch into the Fighting-types that Snorlax struggles with, but Snorlax's outstanding special bulk allows it take minimal damage from special attackers that threaten Sableye, such as Ninetales and Charizard.

slash taunt after encore since it has its uses in denying stealth rock from mons like steelix and mudsdale, stopping mons like plume and jelli from recovering, and preventing sableye from getting hit with toxic. I think the main takeaway with taunt is that it improves its matchup against bulkier teams, whereas encore is more useful vs offense. so make sure to highlight the differences there.

provided the above is done qc 1/2

i'd really mention snorlax somewhere in teammates. these two have some astounding synergy together. Sableye works wonders versus the fighting-types that trouble snorlax, and snorlax can take the strong special attackers that would otherwise punch sableye open. see below

252 SpA Ninetales Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Sableye in Sun: 280-330 (92.1 - 108.5%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Ninetales Fire Blast vs. 188 HP / 192+ SpD Thick Fat Snorlax in Sun: 69-82 (13.5 - 16.1%) -- possibly the worst move ever

2/2 when done, well done

Sableye's good typing, utility moves, and access to Prankster ability allow it to act as a solid defensive Pokemon, being able to check threatening Pokemon like Bewear and Virizion and provide excellent defensive utility for its teammates. Knock Off provides invaluable utility in crippling cripples the opponent by removing their held item. Recover grants gives Sableye a form of reliable recovery, which is further enhanced due to Prankster. Will-O-Wisp allows Sableye to cripple physical attackers by burning them, hence providing great defensive utility in checking them allowing them to be checked much more easily. Encore forces Pokemon like Silvally-Ghost and the aforementioned Virizion to be locked into using the same move, allowing it to take advantage of them by crippling them with its utility moves;. hHowever, you can drop that Encore for Taunt replace Encore with Taunt, (AC) which grants Sableye the ability to prevent defensive Pokemon like Jellicent and Vileplume from recovering, preventing Stealth Rock setters such as Mudsdale and Steelix from setting them up up Stealth Rock, and preventing it Sableye from being hit by Toxic from Pokemon like Salazzle.

With Sableye's only weakness being Fairy, Fairy-types such as Silvally-Fairy and Aromatisse threaten it with their STAB moves Fairy-types such as Aromatisse and Silvally-Fairy can deal large amounts of damage with their STAB moves, so Pokemon who resist them such as Steelix, Vileplume, and Weezing make for great teammates. Pokemon that appreciate a Fighting-type immunity such as Bewear, Copperajah and the aforementioned Steelix usually benefit from Sableye's on the same team presence as well. Additionally, Stealth Rock setters such as Mudsdale and Rhydon benefit from Sableye's ability to spinblock against Pokemon such as Claydol and Coalossal. Snorlax is especially an excellent partner for it, as not only does Sableye switch into the Fighting-types moves that Snorlax really does struggle struggles with, but Snorlax's outstanding special bulk allows it to receive minimal attacks take minimal damage from Pokemon special attackers (this is pretty important clarification), (AC) such as Ninetales and Charizard that would severely threaten Sableye.

Knock Off provides invaluable utility in crippling cripples the opponent by removing their held (why the specification? there's only one kind of item to be talking about) item. Recover grants gives (subjective) Sableye a form of reliable recovery, which is further enhanced due to Prankster. Will-O-Wisp allows Sableye to cripple physical attackers by burning them, hence providing great defensive utility in checking them allowing them to be checked much more easily. (this whole clause is pretty redundant either way, i would've just nuked it if this whole sentence weren't unnecessary) Encore forces Pokemon like Silvally-Ghost and the aforementioned Virizion to be locked into using the same move, allowing it to take advantage of them by crippling them with its utility moves;. hHowever, you can drop that Encore for Taunt replace Encore with Taunt, (AC) which grants Sableye the ability to prevent defensive Pokemon like Jellicent and Vileplume from recovering, preventing Stealth Rock setters such as Mudsdale and Steelix from setting them up up Stealth Rock, and preventing it Sableye from being hit by Toxic from Pokemon like Salazzle.
