Sacred Rain
A rain team by Motagua

Hey smogon, as some people might already now, I am back to pokemon activity after semestrals in college and some relaxing vacations I am still enjoying :toast:. After realizing BW2 has been released, I decided to give it a try. So far, its an overpowered metagame with huge threats like Techniloom, The Genie Sacred Beast Trio, Thick Fat Mamoswine, Keldeo, etc, who are dominating this metagame. Their release also made Rain to have a huge jump in their usage because these pokemons benefit greatly in Rain than any other weathers.

After testing most of the new forms, I decided to actually use an anti-metagame Rain team that would be able to deal with most of the new threats introduced. While I was testing the current changes on PO server (I got another team running on Pokemon Showdown), I ran down ladder and so far I peaked #6 at the moment in one day lol. Imagine it, you are testing a team and it results to end up peaking high on ladder xD.

This RMT´s theme is about the Mayan religion. The Maya is a Mesoamerican civilization, noted for the only known fully developed written language of the pre-Columbian Americas, as well as for its art, architecture, mathematical and astronomical systems. The mayans were a politeist society and believed in many deitys or gods that can be relationed to the pokemon´s function. In Honduras I had the privilege to visit the Ruins of Copans where I was able to see their amazing calendars, temples, ball courts and altars. I highly recommend to visit the Ruins of Copan or any other city that has connections with the Mayans like Yucatán, Palenque, Tikal, Chalchuapa and any other. It is an experience you will never forget.

Teambuilding Process
Here is a brief history on how this team evolved since its first version as a standard BW1 team.

First version of the team who focused instead on abusing the new threats. This team included Scarf Politoed, Defensive Landorus-T, Expert Belt Thundurus-T, SD Virizion, standard Tentacruel & CB Scizor. Good team from the start, but Tornadus shredded me into pieces.

Next version was a bit more offensively paced with Techniloom for priority, Scarf Jirachi for Dragons and Starmie to offer more power. Tornadus was less of a headache, however Jirachi was my only counter and I needed another check.

The team changed greatly with the addition of Sash Mamoswine to deal better with Therian formes, however Jirachi + Thundurus-T was a very weak Volt-Turn core and it couldn´t force a lot of switches. Also, Volcarona was a huge bitch as after a QD, it cleaned my team where Mamoswine was the only one who could take him in Rain thanks to Thick Fat.

The renewed version of the Rain team. Although I gave up Volt-Turn with the change of using Sub CM Jirachi to abuse better Rain and DD Dragonite to deal with Sun, the team showed great results. This team also controls 3 priority moves making it almost impossible for the opponent to run a full sweep. What makes it even better is that it doesn´t depends on Rain itself to pull out a sweep.

Thanks for your positive rates and comments, I present you the new version of the team. Gyarados replaced Dragonite as the main sweeper and proved to be a powerful threat being able to ravage most teams, while the team had some slight changes in sets. Water Gem Politoed to catch off-guard most foes and Choice Scarf Starmie to revenge kill and cripple walls. Overall this team had an incredible progress and while I was testing changes on PO server, it peaked #6.
Past Team Members
You will find some of my creative previous sets the past team members used before, on the team. You might find as a useful reference some of them.
642-therian.gif

Kukulkán (Thundurus-T) (M) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 84 Atk / 172 SAtk / 252 Spd
[30 Atk/30 Def]
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Grass Knot
- Volt Switch
- Superpower
- Hidden Power [Ice]

This set was the one I used when I found myself abusing the new forms. Although he is slower than his Genie form, he has a shitload more Sp.Atk than his Genie form and you can even invest part of it without losing important OHKOs or 2HKOs. The best part of this set is that it can mimic a Choice set and fool the oponent. Once he realized, it will be pretty much late as Thundurus-T might took by surprise an important pokemon. Volt Switch is used to gain momentum, Grass Knot for Gastrodon and other heavy Ground-types that think they can simply block Volt Switch without punishment, HP Ice for Dragons mostly, and Superpower for the pink blobs. Max Speed is used to speed-tie non-scarfed Genie Landorus, 172 Sp.Atk to still retain the OHKOs he would obtain thanks to the Expert Belt boost, and 84 Atk EVs allows him to 2HKO Blissey after SR with Superpower.

645-therian.gif

Balam (Landorus-T) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Def / 132 Spd
Lax Nature (+Def, -SDef)
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Although most people started to abuse again Choice versions of this form, being in superior use on other weathers, I decided to use a defensive pivot that could take hits like a boss and even keep offensive pace. Landorus-T achieves that thanks to his great stats and great movepool. With 252 HP, 124 Def and Intimidate factored in, Terrakion can only do a max of 43% meaning that even after SR, he is not 2HKO´d by a Choice Banded Stone Edge. With this and many other reasons, Landorus was an excellent offensive tank to use making him a reliable user of SR. U-turn is used to keep momentum and HP Ice is used to OHKO Gliscor and Dragonite after SR.

The Team
Ladies and gentleman, here I shall present you the current team and any posible change edited.

Chaac (Politoed)
God of Rain

33l16rd.jpg
2vv760i.jpg

(M) @ Water Gem
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 40 HP / 252 SAtk / 216 Spd
Modest Nature
(+SAtk, -Atk)
- Ice Beam: Useful to revenge kill Dragons, and hits Grass types like Breloom, Celebi, and Amoonguss for good damage.
- Focus Blast: Excellent coverage move having a great chance to 2HKO Ferrothorn.
- Hydro Pump: The real weapon being able to hit like a truck. With the boost of the Water Gem and Drizzle, it has the same, exact, and devastating power a Specs Hydro Pump would do.
- Perish Song: Stops coldly any baton pass chain and useful to stop any stat boosts in a desperate situation.

Analysis
When I was testing most suggestions, I realized I couldn´t afford Politoed to be Choiced. Although Leftovers might sound good, Water Gem was able to catch so many oponents off-guard. Usually when you spam coverage moves, people think you are choiced but once their weather starter or any other pokemon gets hit by a Water Gem boosted Hydro Pump, they get ravaged for a huge amount of damage.

Xaman Ek (Jirachi)
God of the North Star

2a505e.jpg
23ibgqt.jpg

@ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 80 SAtk / 176 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunder: Excellent coverage move that hits super-effectively opposing Water and Flying types while having an excellent 60% paralysis chance.
- Calm Mind: Raising Jirachi´s Sp.Atk and Sp.Def to high levels, soon or later, Jirachi will become an almost impossible sweeper to deal with.
- Substitute: Thanks to his 101 HP Substitutes, moves like Night Shade or Seismic Toss are unable to break it with only one hit, while it protects Jirachi from annoying status problems & moves.
- Flash Cannon*: Most people when using a CM Jirachi, do not even consider this excellent STAB as an option. Most Rain teams do not fare well against Hail teams because Abomasnow has a type advantage and most non-Water rain abusers are vulnerable to stuff like Ice Shards. With his STAB Flash Cannon a +1 Jirachi is able to OHKO Mamoswine, Abomasnow and Kyurem (after SR), while being able to dent Tyranitar down and win more easily the weather war.

Analysis
Jirachi is one of the best sweepers to use in Rain because it becomes a really annoying pokemon that can cripple most of its common switch-ins, defeat most unprepared stall teams and has the bulk & resistances to pull out several Calm Minds. 176 Speed EVs are used to outspeed positive base 90s, 252 HP EVs to make 101 HP Substitutes, and finally, 80 Sp.Atk to overall increase the damage input.

Kukulkán (Gyarados)*
Serpent God of Wind

35btpns.jpg
kbwz01.jpg

(M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 56 HP / 240 Atk / 212 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bounce: Gyarados´ first STAB move providing an excellent base power and being able to hit super-effectively pesky Grass types like Breloom, Celebi and Virizion.
- Waterfall:
The most devastating move in the pokemon´s arsenal. An excellent STAB move, powered back by rain, and boosted further by Dragon Dances, it becomes an almost unstoppable force to be dealth with. To add more, it has a 20% chance of flinching the oponent where you might be lucky to 2HKO stuff like Skarmory.
- Substitute: Allows Gyarados to shield himself from status problems and avoid some damage. Excellent to scout most Volt-Turn chains and it assures set-up.
- Dragon Dance: Boosting its excellent Attack and decent Speed, it allows Gyarados to rampage on the foe´s team.

Analysis
Gyarados is one of the most powerful Rain abusers ever and it is so understimated that it can easily clean most teams that are unprepared to face him. Bounce + Waterfall provide excellent coverage while his bulk allows him to pull out numerous Dragon Dances in conjunction with Substitute. 56 HP EVs increase his overall bulk, 212 Speed EVs are used to outspeed Tornadus-T after one Dragon Dance, while the rest is dumped in Attack who still retains most of its huge raw power. I decided to use Intimidate because it supports excellently the team defensively in some situations and gives more chances to set-up.

Nal (Breloom)
God of Fertility and Agriculture

2cygphf.jpg
1z1cv9v.jpg

(M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Technician
EVs: 240 HP / 100 Atk / 160 SDef / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Spore: This move gives my team a huge advantage as it puts an opposing pokemon to sleep.
- Bullet Seed: This thing wrecks some shit like a truck. Even with only 2 hits, it already has almost the same base power as Seed Bomb. After a Swords Dance, Bullet Seed pretty much OHKOs any Water-type on its way and if you find yourself lucky on the hits, it obtains noticeable OHKOs like Reuniclus (5 hits), Gyarados (3 hits after SR) and others.
- Mach Punch: Technician was a blessing for Breloom as it obtained now a better way to abuse priority. This move is just as powerful as Scizor´s Bullet Punch but with a much better typing to abuse. Breloom also becomes now another Terrakion check thanks to it.
- Swords Dance: After a single Swords Dance, unless you have a quad resistance, you are going down bro.

Analysis
Technician was a real blessing for Breloom as it gave him two powerful STABs to work-out the foe; one of them being a priority move. After a Swords Dance boost, Breloom pretty much OHKOs most stuff and if Bullet Seed hits for more than 2 turns, stuff like Thundurus-T, Reuniclus and others will also end up dying. 240 HP EVs are used to give Breloom an extra leftovers number, 100 Atk EVs to still OHKO standard Heatran after a Swords Dance boost, 160 Sp.Def to still avoid being OHKO´d by Ice Beams or 2HKO´d by Hidden Power and the last 8 Speed EVs are dumped in Speed to bypass Defensive Politoed and avoid him to Scald first.

Buluc Chabta (Mamoswine)
God of the Violent Death

2je4dqh.jpg
2zf229s.jpg

(M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature* (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Ice Shard: Mamoswine´s STAB priority move. With this move, he is able to check the new threats introduced in this metagame like the Therian Beasts while still being an excellent Dragon murderer.
- Earthquake: Second STAB move that quakes to death any Fire, Steel or Rock type that is not flying or has an Air Balloon.
- Superpower: Useful to hit the pokemons that resist Mamoswine´s dual STAB combination like Rotom-W or Bronzong and pokemon who carry an Air Balloon like Heatran.
- Stealth Rock: Standard layers to cripple MS Dragonite, Volcarona, Thundurus-T, Ninetales, Tornadus-T, and any other pokemon vulnerable to it, on the switch-in.

Analysis
Although Thick Fat Mamoswine was already released previously on BW1, the new metagame finally gave him the moves to rampage freely. This guy is currently the anti-metagame pokemon as it checks an insane quantity of new & old threats like the Theriam forms, most Steel types, and Dragons. Thick Fat makes it even better as it has now a resistance to Ice moves and a neutrality to Fire-type moves (Now a resistance in Rain); for example, a Max Sp.Atk Timid Heatran deals 41.55% - 49.03% with Fire Blast under Rain. Max Attack is used to dish out the most possible damage, while Max Speed with a Jolly nature is used to outspeed Heatran, Toxicroak and Lucario, being able to OHKO these threats first with the correct move.
*suggested by Expert Physics

Ixchel (Starmie)*
Goddess of the Moon

vossb7.jpg
5prl0i.jpg

@ Choice Scarf
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf: Reliable STAB move being able to OHKO or 2HKO anything that is not a resistant. Although it does not packs the power a Hydro Pump or a LO boosted Surf would do, Starmie can´t afford a miss due to his frailty.
- Trick: A very excellent move for Starmie as it allows to cripple most of her common switch-ins like Ferrothorn, Gastrodon, Virizion and others.
- Thunder*: Excellent and powerful coverage move being able to hit Gyarados even when Bouncing! Hits super-effectively opposing Water and Flying types.
- Rapid Spin: Removes entry hazards that would cripple the other team members, giving my pokemons more oportunities to switch-in. Preserves Dragonite´s Multiscale

Analysis
Starmie is and it will always be the best Rapid Spinner on this gen thanks to her high Sp.Atk and stellar Speed. Although one might think this set might not work because of Pursuit users like Tyranitar or Scizor, if you play intelligently, Starmie won´t fail you. With a Choice Scarf Starmie revenge kills an insane quantity of pokemon that do not expect it like Landorus, Terrakion, Tornadus-T, Thundurus-T, Volcarona (rain), Gyarados and once the Scarf is not necesary, Tricking it will cripple walls like Blissey, Gastrodon, Ferrothorn and others.

Conclusion
The epic ending of another RMT that always shine because of your attention, comments and rates.

I will never grow tired of doing it, so I will always be thanking the Smogon community for being splendid with me. Nothing makes me happier than to hear that people are enjoying my RMTs and regardless of the results, they leave their luvdisc without me asking for them. Thanks you guys for your attention, rates and comments on another RMT.

For the moments, I will update later with a new threatlist. I can confirm you that the previously mentioned threats are no longer dangerous for this new team to face.

So I thought I would just try to help you with your big threats as sort of a "rate"

Terrakion: ALL TEAMS SEEM TO HAVE TROUBLE WITH DIS DEADLY DUDE. Anyways, if he doesn't have stone edge your dragonite could survive his other attacks and hit back. And Mamo with an unbroken sash can hit back with an EQ. For a change to deal with him, the only thing i can see without changing a poke is putting a scarf on starmie. You could use a set like dis one;

Choice Scarf Natural Cure Timid
Moveset
~ Surf
~ Thunderbolt
~ rapid spin/ice beam
~ Trick
252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

You can kill off terrak, and then trick the scarf to some wall, and then proceed to rapid spin if necessary! I think this is the best wayy to fix this problem :D. And tricking to a wall is a lot of fun!

Gyrados: With the above change if starmie has a scarf then T-bolt OHKOS. If gyrados isn't at plus one, and starmie doesn't have a scarf, starmie outspeeds and OHKO's. And if for some reason he has a sash, and survives, then you can switch in mamo, to ice shard his one percent health.

Gastrodon: Breloom can handle this guy pretty easily, especially if you switched his set to a poison heal set, soo he can't be burnt. And politoed can kill him, I really don't think he's a large threat to this team :X.

Mamoswineee: Best way to fix this, is give Rachi flash cannon over either subsitute, psyschock, or thunder. Iron head wrecks mamoswine, and rachi is faster, unless mamo has a scarf.

I would personaly probably drop thunder. Mamoswine is extremely popular in this new metagame, and it's good to have a solid way to fight him, but the pink blobs andother special walls are getting more popular thanks to thundrus, and rain being used even more. So you need both psyshock, and flash cannon. But Thunder (while it's beautiful) becomes useless outside of rain, it's not a stab move, and a lot of your other pokes have thunder attacks!

Hope some of these suggestions helped a wee bit. Nice looking team!

Hi dude! I'm glad to see you again in the RMT forum. Well, as mklo14 says, I reccomend a CS Starmie, but I'm not agree with that movepool. Surf / Rapid Spin / HP Grass / Thunderbolt. HP Grass to solve your Gastrodon problem. Starmie outspeeds Gyarados even after a DD (I think even after a couple of DDs), so you just hit it with Thunderbolt. Rapid Spin to keep getting away hazards, that really hurts your team, specially Dragonite. With that set, CS Terrakion is completely checked. So don't heave a single serious thread but Mamo, but I think you can deal with it with a Starmie/Politoed combination. Hope I helped you buddy, see ya!

No real time to properly rate this unfortunately. Just wanted to point out, you could run Gyarados > Dragonite, or else SubHydreigon over Dragonite and Slowbro over Starmie, to adequately cover the threats you mentioned. I'd probably go with Hydreigon as you are extremely weak to Rotom-W and other Electric mons which can get past Mamoswine.

Hey man, it's good to see another great team from you :]

First off I think Waterfall completly outclasses Aqua Tail, Sacrificing only 10 base power (15 under rain) you're greeted with 100% hit rate and a nice 20% flinch rate. The flinch rate allows you to actually beat skarm 1v1 with some luck. This can be a godsend considering with aqua tail the game will probably be a dick and not only make you miss but will make skarm constantly whirlwind you out to mamo.

You might want to consider Hidden Power [Grass] or maybe Psyshock on starmie to help vs gastro and such. Another change you could make on starmie is Thunder over Thunderbolt as it absolutely destroys everything under rain and considering you dont have a band / specs user and you've opted for Surf over Hydro Pump twice this can pump some much needed extra power into the team, the only pokes that can actually reliably take a thunder that aren't scared of para are; Ferro, Gastro etc. both of which you can bait in then set up with breloom all over them. Thunder also has that nice 30% para, along with Jirachi's Thunder you can para everything then sweep with Breloom, or paraflinch everything with Dragonite's Waterfall.

That's all I really have to say on the team, it's very well built and it has miniscule room for improvement, GL with the team bro, I hope this rate could be of help.

Hi, Motagua. Excellent team! First off, I would recommend you change Mamoswine's nature from Adamant to Jolly, in order to outspeed Adamant Toxicroak and Lucario, which allows Mamoswine to KO them before they KO you.

I would also recommend Thunder over Thunderbolt for Starmie, as it is more powerful, and thanks to Rain being active, its accuracy is perfect. Besides, pretty much everyone uses Rain in this new metagame, haha.

I find Ferrothorn is a nuisance for your team, as it walls Politoed, Dragonite and Starmie. That's why I would suggest Focus Blast over Hidden Power Grass on Politoed, in order to hit it hard. It's a 2HKO on Ferrothorn and a OHKO on Cloyster, so it may be worth a try. I don't really have much else to say. Solid team! Luvdisced! Good luck!

@mklo14: You are pretty much right as Terrakion is always a threat for every team. Just wanted to know what alternatives I could get in exchange. I should say, Scarf Starmie sounds interesting to use as it could potentially cripple a lot of switch-ins. However with 2 Scarfed pokemons, it becomes unappealing. Neverless I think I can try Scarf Starmie with a Bulky Offensive Politoed, thank you for your suggestions. About Jirachi, without Thunder, he will get easily walled by common Steel-types like Scizor & Heatran. I can try Flash Cannon over Psyshock as it will ravage Mamoswine and it also hits Lati@s.

@DaveScottMustaine: Thanks pal, glad to see you here! Yeah Mamoswine is a bitch if he predicts my moves. I can only check it precisely with Politoed & Starmie, while switching into an Earthquake is tricky. I believe to find more useful Trick instead of HP Grass if I find myself using Starmie mainly because it will cripple a switch-in like Ferrothorn or Gastrodon for the rest of the match and make him set-up fodder for Breloom or Dragonite. Thanks a lot for your opinion, anyways :)

@bubbly: Looking forward for your full rate pal, I know that it will help me a lot :). Electric mons are not really troublesome because most of them favor using HP Ice as a coverage move, rather than HP Grass to hit Mamoswine. Breloom is never OHKO´d by Rotom-W or Thundurus-T´s HP Ice while I can strike back with a crippling Spore or Bullet Seed respectively. Gyarados is a really fantastic suggestion as most of the aftermentioned threats will be completely neutered like Mamoswine and Gastrodon, the only thing I could be worrying about is the loss of Extremespeed as it becomes completely useful if Mamoswine is weak or Breloom as well. Plus, it might make me more weak to Electric mons. However, the pros it offers is more worth than the cons, so I will definitely test Gyarados on this team.

@The Great Mighty Doom: Although I never liked to rely on luck, I never saw it like that. The combination of Jirachi´s and Starmie´s Thunder with Dragonite´s Waterfall might make this team a really annoying one to face. Thanks bro, that really shined up for me :).

@Expert Physics: I saw once an SD Toxicroak that troubled me on ladder and I was forced to rely on prediction with Jirachi in order to beat him. Not very common, but can´t afford him to win. SD Lucario is not really a threat because I just have to send Jirachi on Ice Punch or Extremespeed, Sub forcing a CC drop, and KO with Thunder, neverless I will test Jolly for the sake of SD Toxicroak. Ferrothorn is annoying, so I believe that Focus Blast deserves a test run too. With constant harrasment of Focus Blast and Mamoswine´s Superpower, Ferrothorn will be weakened enough for Dragonite or Starmie to get through. And yes, I will definitely use Thunder on Starmie :). Thanks a lot pal!

Hey,
I really like the theme of this team, it looks very appealing. Looking at your 4 threats I notcied that all of them could be dealt with if you switch either breloom or Jirachi for A Choice Band Metagross. Although you will lose a powerful Sweeper hear me out in saying that Metagross can cripple all Special sweepers with a well timed trick and Defeats Both Mamoswine and Terrakion with Bullet Punch. Gyarados can also be crippled with Trick or be downright finished with a powerful attack. You may not choose to take this though as it may leave you open to some other threats.
GL with the team, Metagross set below
Metagross @ Choice Band
Nature: Adamant (+Atk -SpA)
Trait: Clear Body
EV's: 248/252Atk/8Def
-Bullet Punch
-Hammer Arm/Earthquake
-Zen Headbut/ Thunder Punch
-Trick

@Asek: Interesting suggestion although I started to test other´s appointed. Anyways thank you really much with your suggestion, I guess I can try it and keep testing out. I will definitely have it for future reference on other teams :D

I had been testing most of suggestions and here are the changes I found to be improving the team´s performance overall:

1) Sub DD Gyarados > Dragonite: Probably one of the best suggestions I found thanks to bubbly. Since I started to use Gyarados, complementing with Choice Scarf Starmie, he truly became a beast. A +1 Waterfall could easily 2HKO Skarmory and if I had some luck, flinch makes it GG. Gyarados also solved my Gastrodon and Mamoswine weakness thanks to Intimidate factored in who crippled Mamoswine´s attack while his typing makes Gastrodon set-up fodder. He will be replacing Dragonite as the new sweeper.

2) Choice Scarf Starmie: I should say I was dubious about this set because a wrong move means that it will be Pursuit bait for Tyranitar, however it proved to be the most useful Scarfer I ever used. With a Choice Scarf, Starmie can even check other common Scarfers like Landorus, Terrakion, Infernape; sweepers like Volcarona, Gyarados, Tornadus-T and much more. The best part is Trick where I catched every Ferrothorn or Gastrodon on sight and practically made them useless for the rest of the match where Gyarados or Breloom have an easier time to set-up. Starmie turned out to be better than what I expected as even myself thought he wouldn´t work! Thanks for mklo14 for suggesting this.

3) Flash Cannon > Psyshock on Jirachi: I haven´t found something special before on this change, until I faced a Hail team where I was able to 6-0 so easily and ravaged the foe´s Abomasnow and Kyurem thanks to Flash Cannon. Since Starmie can potentially Trick a Choice Scarf to Gastrodon, Gyarados setting up on him or Breloom coming, I barely missed Psyshock where against Hail teams Jirachi created havoc. The ability to OHKO Mamoswine, Kyurem and Frolass was to good to pass considering that most Rain teams actually do not fare well against these teams. Credit goes again to mklo14 for suggesting these.

4) Thunder > Thunderbolt on Starmie: Of course it had to be natural for Starmie to run a base 120 power move that never misses on Rain and has a good chance to paralyze an opponent. Credit goes to The Great Mighty Doom.

5) Jolly > Adamant on Mamoswine: The ability to hit first Lucario, Heatran and Toxicroak really helped this team out as Mamoswine had better utility when dealing with these threats. Superpower OHKOs after SR, which is something I have no trouble laying, while Ice Shard is still good enough to deal with most Dragons although I miss the OHKO on Thundurus-T. Credit goes to Expert Physics for suggesting this.

6) Focus Blast > HP Grass on Politoed: Excellent move as it combined perfectly with a new set I made on Politoed. 2HKOs Ferrothorn on the switch-in and pressures him more until even my sweepers like Jirachi or Gyarados are able to get through him. Credit for Expert Physics for suggesting this!

I will update later with the new changes on this team. Thanks everyone for your great suggestions, rates and luvdiscs :).

i just realized, i have the exact same team except i run tornadus-t > rachi xP

edit: good team.

Team was officially updated, with the accepted suggestions. Sets, Exportable, and the Team Building Process is now succesfully up to date. Still looking forward for more rates & comments. Thanks everyone!

First, congrats on this great team. Yesterday I tested your previous version of the team on the ladder and it did very good.

There were only a couple of problems that I had. The number 1 problem was Rotom-W. I had to rely on Breloom too much to stop him and I had like 2 occasions where I got will-o-wisped on the switch. Jirachi isn't specially defensive and no one can really take Rotom on reliably. And with the new changes you seem to be even weaker to it.

Some other issues I had were with Thundurus-T and some fast fighting types like Mienshao and to a certain extent Terrakion. But those guys can be easily revenge killed so it wasn't much of a problem.

And btw Psyschock on Jirachi was VERY useful for me against the likes of Toxicroak, Virizion, Amoongus, Breloom, other calm minders, Blissey etc.

@KnivesNPistols: Glad to know that you really liked the team. I know standard Rotom-W is an issue for this team because of the liberty of swapping moves, neverless almost everything on this team can 2HKO him at least like Politoed´s Hydro Pump, Mamoswine´s Superpower, Starmie´s Thunder and usually with Gyarados I play with him setting up Subs first or staright attacking before setting up. Flash Cannon was chosen because it destroys most hail teams as I avoid from being to dependant on Mamoswine to combat it. I guess that Virizion might become more annoying as having a CM war is not appealing, however Amoonguss, Blissey & Chansey can still be defeated 1 vs 1.

This new version of the team looks really solid, good job bro. Thundurus-t looks like even more of a threat now and gastrodon still looks a bit annoying but there's not much else. You could put endeavour on mamoswine over superpower considering now mamoswine's superpower's are weaker due to it being jolly rather than adamant, endeavour allows you to bring everything down to 1hp when your sash has activated then you can kill them off with Ice shard. But that's pretty much it, GL with the team :)

wow great team luvdisc'd coz there isnt a single therian!

Just a small suggestion if you aren't running endeavor on your mamoswine you may want to try out life orb as it gives a significant increase in power. Also Icicle Crash> Superpower can be very handy cleanly ko'ing Dragonite, Breloom etc. Plus i wouldnt be too worried about heatran because Politoed and Jirachi are pretty safe switch ins. Breloom is also a pretty hard counter to rotom-w. just a thought

Glad to see some of my suggestions went over well :). And it is always nice when people credit the person who suggested the change, so thank you! And the team really is looking way strong now!

@The Great Mighty Doom: Yeah, since I was using Jolly, Superpower is not able to OHKO Air Balloon Heatran and 2HKO standard Rotom-W. Endeavour sounds really interesting as it will allow him to severely cripple a foe´s pokemon. I will definitely try it bro! :D

@CrackinSkulls: Thanks for the luvdisc although this team started before abusing the Therian forms :p. Icicle Crash sounds really interesting as another option, if Endeavour doesnt makes it. I will be sure to test it if that´s the case.

@mklo14: I always gave credit to anyone who made excellent changes on my team. Yours were undoubtedly one of the best and made succesful this team. Nowadays it is very common to see people laddering with it on both PO & PS, lol.
