Fighting types fit my playstyle using offense as your best defense; they can't kill you if they're already
dead. So why not make a full team with nothing but fighting types in the OU meta and try to make it work? That's when I assembled the Safron City Beatdown. I've playtested this team and fixed any obvious problems I've come across and have found great success so far with this team. I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions and ideas.
~The Crew~

Charles Barkley (Medicham) (M) @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 80 Spd
Adamant Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Psycho Cut
- Ice Punch
- Bullet Punch
The raid boss of the crew, deals tons of damage through STAB High Jump Kick and Psycho Cut but also has Ice Punch for those pesky Dragon and Flying types and a Bullet punch for priority against fairy types. I went with a more bulky Mega-Medicham since he probably won't outspeed every pokemon and that extra HP has saved me several times from getting KO'd.

Bow flexin' (Machamp) (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: No Guard
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Dynamic Punch
- Ice Punch
- Stone Edge
- Bulk Up
The beefiest goon on the team, already annoying through his 100% accuracy STAB dynamic punch to confuse and wreck face at the same time. More coverage for weaknesses and my direct answer to gale wings Talonflame with stone edge. Getting walled up? Just get on your Bow Flex and Bulk Up until you're ready to smash a fool.

Du soif (Keldeo) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Justified
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- Sacred Sword
- Hidden Power [Bug]
- Hydro Pump
- Icy Wind
Now we can't have a team with only physical attackers, so Keldeo is a perfect contender using his type coverage and special attack to literally wash away the competition. That said, expert belt seemed like a great choice to give power to the weaker skills so I went with it.

Dog days (Lucario) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Aura Sphere
- Vacuum Wave
- Flash Cannon
- Dark Pulse
My secondary special attacker that can handle on his own with counters to fairy and ghost types as well as your typical STAB moves and priority Vacuum wave is always nice. Life orb just ups the offensive by giving him even more power to deal with other threats.

IT'S OVER (Heracross) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Night Slash
Revenge killer / Sweep central right here. Scarfed Heracross and his moveset is usually enough to finish off a weak pokemon, or even outright 100-0 them depending on the pokemon to get those moxie stacks. I went with Night Slash over something like Earthquake so that I would have an answer to most ghost types.

Reginald (Infernape) (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Fake Out
- Overheat
- Close Combat
Finally, the first one into the fray, my Infernape. Typical set up build with focus sash to get a guaranteed stealth rocks to break sashes and get pokemon like Charizard and Talonflame to dangerous levels. Fake-out to help ruin sturdy plays so I can blaze it or use close combat on it usually getting the kill.
That's the crew for you, let me know what you think below and I'll get to you when I can. I appreciate all the help in advance.
