Hey Guys. I made a fun offensive team for gen 9 OU and my first post in this thread for gen 9 OU here.

I have gone for Gengar because I like the mon and I have gone for Scarf because of its high speed tier for a scarfer and access to trick + good special attack. Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb and Focus Blast are solid coverage and trick is for fat.

Salamence is my favourite psuedo legendary pokemon. I feel its underrated and should be explored more. Dragon Dance + Dual Wingbeat + Earthquake + Tera Blast (Electric) makes for nice options. Tera Blast electric is for Corv and the opportunity to get moxie and hit water types and even sponging thunder waves. Dual wingbeat makes for flying stab and although the multi hit nature is bad and the miss chance but when it hits, it hits crucial targets like Great Tusk and Amoongus super effectively. Earthquake is for steels and pretty spammable. Salamence has a solid speed tier imo and decent coverage with Jolly and pretty useful for me in the late game. Dual wingbeat breaks Breelooms sash. I have gone for Jolly because Salamence has a good speed tier though adamant is really tempting sometimes. Moxie helps it snowball and clean up in late game situations better or even mid game once walls get chipped.

Azumarill is there for its typing, decent bulk and ability to check Chien Pao to a decent extent. Gone for belly drum with dual stab + aqua jet priority. The speed is to outspeed base 70s and the rest in bulk. Adamant for max power.

Chien Pao is choice banded for high damage output with ice shard as the preferred priority. Jolly for more speed. There is nothing much to comment on Chien Pao as its simply amazing. Sacred sword for Kingambit and Crunch + Ice Spinner make for solid coverage. This mon is being suspected and its power via sword of ruin and speed are the reasons its here.

Gholdengo - Another mon with a great typing and great special attack. Sub is too take advantage of fat passive mons. Life orb for extra power and make it rain + shadow ball for solid power and coverage. Its able to force many switch-ins and get subs and able to switch in on Corv.

Iron Treads is the utility mon with decent attack, spinning and checking Dragonite somewhat in a pinch. Iron head is for flinch + stab and assault vest is for it to take special hits better. The speed is it outpace Garchomp and the rest in HP and jolly is the nature for it. Ice spinner is for Garchomp and Dragonite and rapid spin is to remove hazards if possible and boost speed.

Threats -

Defensive -

Stall and Unaware - This team has struggled against stall due to double unaware cores like Dondozo + Clodsire. One misprediction and the game is over. Would need to trick the clodsire and try to break dondozo via Gholdengo.

Ting Lu - Can chip Ting Lu but cant set up in front of it.

Rotom- Wash - Will o wisp is annoying and its difficult for my team to switch into it.

Offensive -

Espathra - A big threat behind screens and shed tail and need to act fast vs it or game over.

Dragonite - Tera normal espeed is problematic.

Opposing Chien Pao - A pain to switch outside of Azu espcially tera banded sets.

Floatzel rain (Minor threat) - Have to set up a belly drum with Azu early or this rain sweeps my team.

On both sides

Garganacl - Salt cure and protect make this thing annoying and broken. Ban this crap now.

I reached 1720 with this team and finally made top 500 in OU. Here are some replays -

Overall a fun team but somewhat frail but it can work decently I would say. I struggled to fit a rocker on this team but I needed to attack so it was hard to fit stealth rocks. I am open to your feedback and constructive criticism.

Cool team my friend,

I'll give you a quick rate:

I think you should forego Assault Vest and give Iron Treads Stealth Rock > Ice Spinner and go with Leftovers instead of Assault Vest. I do think this team becomes automatically better when you can pressure the opposing team depending on the matchup with entry hazards.

I feel like opposing Garganacls could be annoying to face on this team especially with the recent ban of Chien Pao and Espathra I do think you'll see a slight uptick in usage of Nacl so I would go with Covert Cloak on Gholdengo > Life Orb to take care of that issue.

For Tera on Gholdengo I would go with Flying to beat on EQs from opposing Tusks.

Lastly in order to replace Chien Pao I would go with Choice Band Baxcalibur, it is a solid Ice Pokémon (With a high physical attack) and has Ice Shard as a priority as well. Glaive Rush it hits very hard and I feel like a lot of teams on the ladder aren't prepared for it, that in combination of removing entry hazards I feel like it can be problematic to other teams. Here's the set I recommend:

:baxcalibur:
Baxcalibur @ Choice Band
Ability: Thermal Exchange
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
- Glaive Rush

Aside from that cool team and I wish you the best of luck in the future. Thanks for posting!
