XY OU Sand at its finest (Reached 1600+)

Hello, this is my first Rate My Team so it can have alot of errors.
After battling a bit in the OU tier I noticed that there were 3 styles that dominated the tier. Hyper Offensive, Stall, and Sandstorm teams. Out of the 3, I decided to do a sandstorm team. So here it is:
(Changes in red)

The Team:

Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Fire Punch
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
Tyranitar this gen is a monster, even with the introduction of the Fairy type it still gets to shine with its amazing movepool and stats. In this case am using Banded Tyranitar. Normal EVs and normal moveset. Am using Tyranitar mainly for killing annoying pokemon for my teammates, those are pokemon like Talonflame, Latios and Latias in which Tyranitar can take all of their hits and when they try switch out they will be OHKOd by the Pursuit.

landorus-incarnate.jpg

Landorus @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Earth Power
- Psychic
- Sludge Wave
- Stealth Rock
I will have to admit, the 1st time I saw Landorus, I saw nothing special about it, decent stats and a good movepool. Then I decided I can give it a try and holy shit this thing is amazing. Thanks to Sheer Force, all his special moves get a nice 1.3x damage boost and when used with Life Orb it is another 1.3x boost without any recoil damage. Landorus main job is to get Stealth Rocks and to destroy treaths like Venusaur-Mega and all the Fairy pokemon.

keldeo-1.png

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Scald
The 1st time they talked about a pokemon based on a pony the first thing i tought was that it was going to suck. But oh boy I was wrong. Great stats and a decent design but ita movepool is what ruined all, and now in gen 6 with all the fairies Keldeo isnt a good option. BUT when it is used with a Choice Specs and te right support, it is a monster. When the Latis are out of the way (thanks to Tyranitar) and when Venusaur-Mega and some fairies are out too (thanks to Landorus) theres nothing left to Keldeo other than just tear apart teams.

excadrill.jpg

Excadrill (M) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance/Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Iron Head
Excadrill is gonna be my replacement for Aegi, even tho the loss of Aegi is gonna be bad into this team, I always considered to use Excadrill, Excadrill is an amazing pokemon, great stats and movepool. It has the power to break trough alot of teams and revenge kill alot of pokemons, and with hazzards support, it is a powerful treath.

286Breloom.png

Breloom (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spore
- Rock Tomb
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
Breloom is an aweosme pokemon and my lead 90% of the times. It prevent hazzards making my opponent sleep thanks to Spore (unless it is Ferrothorn). Even tho it loss Low Sweep (thanks to it being now 65 base power) it got an even better move with more coverage and a great side effect in this case being Rock Tomb, Bullet Seed is the normal multi-hitting move with Technician boost and Mach Punch for strong priority.

mega_gyarados_leak_by_code_umb87-d6pnh6f.png

Gyarados (M) @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Substitute
Megados is an amazing pokemon, even tho its new typing ist useful it has a pretty high attack and the HIGHER bulk than Umbreon thanks to Intimidate. Its EVs are the most used, max speed to outspeed treaths with DD and max attack with Adamant for doing the best damage it can.

Treath List:
Then of laddering with this team I have found out that my biggest treath is:
scizor-mega.gif
I kill it most of the times with Gyarados-Mega unless he carries Bug Bite and if he does use Bug Bite I kill it with Keldeo but usually he kills like 1 or 2 of my pokemons.
pinsir-mega.gif
It usually depends on the coverage move it carries. If it carries Earthquake it becomes harder to kill, I usually kill it with Breloom and I stay my Sash safe, but if it carries Stone Edge it is easily killed by Aegislash.

Import:
Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Fire Punch
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge

Landorus @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Earth Power
- Psychic
- Sludge Wave
- Stealth Rock

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Icy Wind

Excadrill (M) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance/Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Iron Head

Breloom (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spore
- Rock Tomb
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed

Gyarados (M) @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Substitute

CONCLUSION
So, this team isnt close to perfect but it is pretty solid, you will need alot of thinking when using this team. I hope you guys have fun using this team as much as I did making it (none)(just kidding).

Hey! I know I brought this up on Showdown, but how would you feel about SubToxic Aegislash? It helps a lot against stall, especially Unaware Clefable, who can really only be taken out by Landorus. It's also still really good against offense, too, with STAB Shadow Ball doing a lot. Here's the set :]

Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 244 HP / 12 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Toxic
- Shadow Ball
- King's Shield

I'd also recommend running Scald > Icy Wind on Keldeo, as it helps a lot in burning things such as Mega Scizor! :]

Hope this helps, and good job winning such a big tournament!

EDIT: Oh wow, Kirby Treecko is a completely different person... well this team did end up winning a big tourney! xD

Hey Super Eddy cool team! I actually used a very similar team to peak rank 1 on PS with Thundurus over Keldeo. This team looks very solid so i'm not gonna suggest much change. I would however suggest changing Choice Band on Tyranitar to Choice Scarf. Your team is a bit Mega Pinsir weak, as it sets up on Aegislash or to a lesser extent Landorus (without Stealth Rock up) for free. By running Choice Scarf, this allows you to outspeed Mega Pinsir and nab a k0 with Stone Edge. Scarf TTar also still reliably checks Latios/Latias as well as Talonflame. This also gives you a nice check to Thundurus as well, which is also a big threat to your team.

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
My second suggestion would be running Scald on Keldeo over Icy Wind. You already have Tyranitar for Lati's as well as Aegislash and the 30% chance to burn + an accurate water stab is more ideal especially on common switch ins like Azumarill who can really annoy your team.

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
My last suggestion would be running Air Balloon on Aegislash. This gives you a nice Sand Rush Excadrill check on top of Gyarados and also gives you a nice pivot when facing Freeze Dry Mamoswine, Mamoswine in general being annoying to offense.

Aegislash @ Air Balloon
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Sacred Sword
- King's Shield
- Swords Dance
Well that's all i have. Solid team man, hope i helped! :]

Ok, with the most recent Aegi ban, (thing that in my opinion it didnt deserved) I will be replacing Aegi with Excadrill, am thinking of either a SD set or a using it for spinning hazzards. Any advice?

So..... I have been using this team in some tourneys and it has done decent, more than what I expected it would so thats good. Bump
