Sand Stall

I've always been interested in stall but have never tried it out. This is my first attempt and it's been fairly successful, but could use some improvement.
All changes will be bold

Hippowdon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Earthquake

Not to much to say on the moveset and evs as it's pretty standard. I usually lead with her, depending on my prediction for the their lead. In most cases she gets up SR and they bring in a check for her so I switch out and bring her back later for physical walling and phasing. If they lead with a sweeper I'll Roar before setting up SR to prevent any setup She can also takedown a Excadrill if needed, assuming his balloon is popped.

Tyranitar.gif

Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Fire Punch
- Pursuit
- Superpower
I'm in love with this set, no one expects him to be banded so he catches everyone by surprise. I lead with him against other Tyranitars and Abomasnow, as well as if I predict a poke he's super effective on. The evs are to give him some added bulk and make him hit harder. He can OHKO other Tyranitars, Latias, Latios, Heatran and Reuniclus just to name a few.

Ferrothorn.gif

Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Leech Seed
- Spikes
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
I've loved Ferrothorn since the release of B/W. I'm not sure what the evs do for him exactly, but they seem right. His relaxed nature increases his defense and makes Gyro hit for even more. The seed/toxic combo brings down foes very quickly and gives him some recovery on top of lefties. Power whip seems to catch people off guard for whatever reason. If I expect a switch I usually toxic, sometimes seed (like if they have heatran).
Removed Toxic for Spikes when I took out Deoxys-D. Works great and can still wear enemies down without Toxic

JELLICENT.gif

Jellicent (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Toxic
- Taunt
- Recover
Everyone knows the Jellithorn combo. Water Absorb allows it to eat shots directed at Tyranitar or Hippowdon, which Politaod always attempts. If I expect a switch I usually Will-O-Wisp. Taunt is useful if I expect a status move or I know they have recovery. I'm not sure about scald over surf, considering I can already burn.

639.gif

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
- Earthquake

Great recommendation by New World Order and a great revenge killer. I went for Sacred Sword over Rock Slide because I see it being more useful, but either would be used much anyway. Him and Tyranitar make great clean ups end game

Gliscor.png

Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Toxic
- Earthquake
- Fascade
- Protect

My switch in to Excadrill, Ice Fang to pop the balloon, if he stays in then EQ kill him, if not I keep him safe until he gets a chance. I toxic if I expect a switch. Most of the time I protect before I switch out and the almost always use the same move on the next turn, allowing a easy switch in. I see fling as a waste, as it's basically a one time toxic. Ice fang allows him to take down other Gliscors and pop balloons.

The only thing I can think of that gives me trouble is Skarmory on occasion, but Tyranitar usually takes him out, if not Ferrothorn can seed and Jellicent can burn then just outlast him. If he starts using brave bird I switch in Ferro and Iron Barbs mixed with recoil adds up quick. And taunt destroys him.

Something I forgot is Breloom gives me a lot of trouble

Hi, nice team, however, there are a few pokemon who you'd be hard pressed to play around. Mence and Hydreigon absolutely ravage your team, the former being able to wreck as both a MixMence and a DD Mence and the latter hitting everything hard. Thundurus isn't very fun for your team to play against either since you have to rely on recoil and prediction to bring it down.

First of all, I suggest swapping Tyranitar to a Scarftar. Yes, its more predictable, but it gives you a way to revenge kill Thundurus. It hits Latios and crew hard enough, and since you never ran Stone Edge in the first place, Ttar's best power move wasn't abused on the CB set anyways.

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Sand Stream
Jolly
252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 SpD
Stone Edge
Crunch
Pursuit
Superpower

When dealing with dragons, the best answer is usually revenge killing. Deoxys-S isn't doing much for your team anyways besides Spikes. You can easily replace Toxic on Ferrothorn and run Spikes instead. So I suggest using a Choice Scarf Terrakion to patch up weaknesses. Terrakion not only deals with both Hydreigon and Salamence, it also gives you another way to deal with Thundurus, Dragonite, and crew without resorting to Tyranitar, as well as taking out Volcorona in case Jellicent goes down.

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf

252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 Hp
Close Combat
Stone Edge
X-Scissor
Rock Slide

You need a Blissey, man. The reason you see them on basically every stall team is because he works. I would replace him with deoxys-d and give ferrothorn spikes. He's a solid wall who provides much needed wish support to Ferrothorn and Gliscor.

Blissey is still the de facto special wall this gen and Deoxys-D is easily set up on or pursuited.

Blissey@ leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Bold
Ev's: 252 Hp, 252 Def, 4 SP Def
Wish
Protect
Flamethrower
Toxic

I will deffinetly try both Terrakion and Blissey. I'm not sure about the scarftar, I tried it and found the band more successful, I may try switching out fire punch for stone edge.

Love the team. I used ScarfTar when I ran my Sandstorm team in 4th Gen and it did fairly well since it could stay out on the Field for a long amount of time. Although I must admit, I love Terrakion so the team definently looks pro. My only suggestion is that with Jellicent, maybe instead of running Wisps, you can run Toxic with it so it can easily switch on to Water Pokes and can rack-on massive damage. With Jellicent's bulk and Hippowdon's great partner-ship for the right switch, I can see it tearing apart teams with ease minus the plethora of Steel Pokes. But, who see's Toxic on a Jellicent anyway? That'll be your surprise factor that guarantee's you the attack.

(P.S. This is Zach btw. lol.)

Hey there, I would consider putting Facade over Ice Fang on Gliscor; it hits a lot of stuff harder with a nice 140 BP since you're poisoned. For Terrakion, I would use Earthquake over Sacred Sword for a nice EdgeQuake coverage combo and since Sacred Sword probably doesn't see much use. Also, I agree with NWO in that while ScarfTar is more predictable, it's better
