Sand Stall

I'm fairly new to Little Cup and this is my first RMT, but I've had decent success with it. I feel that my losses are more due to inexperience, but the team does have some holes. Any fixes are appreciated.

HipHopopotamus (Hippopotas) (M) @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
Level: 5
EVs: 132 HP / 20 Atk / 132 Def / 180 SDef / 20 Spd
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock

Hippopotas is my Sand Starter. I figured Smooth Rock was more beneficial than using Eviolite due to the weather nerf. I generally don't keep him in very long against threats, so the boost to defenses isn't too useful. I originally had protect over stealth rock and had rocks on Ferro, but I switched the two around. I generally send him out first and rock if I can.

Durian (Ferroseed) (M) @ Eviolite
Ability: Iron Barbs
Level: 5
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 164 HP / 188 Def / 156 SDef
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Bullet Seed

Ferroseed is part of my steel-fairy core and also the best hazard setter in the tier. He can set up spikes and force switches with leech seed, as well as tank hits. I gave him protect as a scouting option. HP fire is a big problem, so care must be taken to avoid it. Bullet seed is there to stop Ferro from being complete set-up bait and to deal with water types such as Chinchou.

Polly (Spritzee) (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Aroma Veil
Level: 5
EVs: 212 HP / 196 Def / 12 SAtk / 76 SDef / 12 Spd
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Aromatherapy
- Moonblast

Spritzee is probably the best defensive fairy type in the tier and she is my cleric. The maxed out HP allows her to pass wishes and the defense EVs allow her to tank fighting and dark types. She is my counter to mienfoo, meditite, scraggy and others. She does take damage from sand though. Steel types such as pawniard are a problem though, but they can be dealt with with EQs from other teammates.

wooper.gif

Whoops (Wooper) @ Eviolite
Ability: Unaware
Level: 5
EVs: 236 HP / 76 Atk / 156 Def
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Recover
- Waterfall

Wooper is my counter to setup sweepers, especially that annoying Swirlix. He has great defenses and decent typing, but does give my team another grass weakness. I generally send him in on a setup move, and proceed to toxic stall. Waterfall and EQ both provide great stab coverage as well. I'm not sure if I should maximize special def over HP.

gligar.gif

Lucifer (Gligar) @ Berry Juice
Ability: Sand Veil
Level: 5
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 236 Atk / 236 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake

What I think a Sand Veil set is supposed to look like. Send him in when sand is relatively fresh and spam Sub until one sticks, then SD and sweep with acrobatics or EQ. He also can absorb opposing earthquakes. I think maximizing speed is more important on this set than defenses in order to guarantee that your subs go first.

lileep.gif

It (Lileep) @ Eviolite
Ability: Storm Drain
Level: 5
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 68 SAtk / 220 SDef
Calm Nature
- Giga Drain
- Recover
- Ancient Power
- Toxic

Lileep is my special tank. With sand up, it's special defenses increase by another 50%, allowing it to tank
most hits and then stall with recover. Giga Drain provides a strong stab as well as recovery and Ancient Power is for secondary stab coverage. It can help cover up the flying neutrality and hit murkrow. The occasional boost helps as well.

Recently I've been running into problems dealing with Calm Mind Misdreavus as I have nothing that resists shadow ball. Pawniard is also a problem because I have few pokemon that can switch into an Iron Head and also resist a brick break.
