Team members:
I wanted to be creative, so I made team a sandstorm/trick room team. The main purpose of the team is that trick room makes Excadrill not need speed focused natures / IV's / items / abilities, and so can focus on massive attack. My over-arching battle strategy is to use Tyrannitar to bring up a sandstorm, and then Reuniclus to set up trick room so Excadrill can run rampant. Starmie takes out bulky waters, dragons, and hazards. Ferrothorn devastates with gyro ball in trick room, and then sets up spikes. Tyrannitar and Reuniclus work well together for late game sweeps.
------------------------------ Detail stuff below -----------------------------
Possible changes:
- giving Starmie a STAB move (surf maybe?)
- Excadrill really doesn't really need rapid spin
- some priority attacks would be nice.
- giving ferrothorn power whip to shmosh bulky waters, b/c Starmie's Thunderbolt does nothing to Quagsire, Gastrodon, et al.
- another fire move (not from 'ranitar) for those ferrothorn / bronzong types

------------------------------ Detail stuff below -----------------------------
Tyrannitar @ leftovers
ability: Sand stream
EVs: 252 HP / 50 Atk / 208 SpD
Nature: careful ( - SpA, +SpD)
- stealth rock
- crunch
- flame thrower
- superpower
This is your standard specially defensive weather wars TTar. The only real difference is that I switched flame thrower for crunch because I needed an attack to 2HKO Ferrothorn. Tyrannitar will also, given a free turn, set up stealth rocks.
Reuniclus @ life orb
ability: magic guard
EVs: (252 HP, 64 def, 188 SpAtk)
Nature: Modest
- Trick room
- psychic
- recover
- focus blast
Reuniclus makes the anchor of the team. As a trick room variant, I am going with modest and no Sp EV's. Recover is in the moveset to increase Reuniclus' durability, because if Reuniclus is down, Excadrill can't sweep. Magic guard gives Reuniclus both resistance to friendly fire from sandstorm as well as epic life orb sweeping potential.
The terminator aka Excadrill @ life orb
ability: Sand force
EVs: (252 HP, 252 Atk, 4 SpD)
Nature: Brave (+ Atk, -Sp)
- Earthquake
- rock slide
- Rapid spin
- Swords dance
I am planning to run Excadrill in trick room, so I don't want Jolly, speed Ev's, or sand rush. Instead, I focus overwhelmingly on attack. Excadrill (in a sandstorm) boasts an unboosted 606 attack, not counting the life orb bonus. With one swords dance, this increases to a terrifying 1012. A STAB earthquake in termination mode (post-swordsdance) will OHKO Blissey. Even without swordsdance, earthquake is still doing 91-107% to Blissey. Excadrill has the rock slide for when they switch something annoying like Zapdos into earthquake.
Bronzong @ leftovers
ability: Levitate
item: leftovers
EVs: (252 HP, 108 Def, 108 SpDef, 36 Atk)
Nature: relaxed ( + Def, -Sp)
- Trick room
- gyro ball
- earthquake
- psychic
Bronzong is another trick room user for if Reuniclus goes down. Brongzong also ignores sandstorm damage, and works exceedingly well with trick room. The tankish nature allows Brongzong to interrupt raging dragons and other sweepers, as well as switching in to many attacks.
Ferrothorn @ rocky helmet
ability: Iron barbs
EVs: (252 HP, 208 SpD, 50 atk)
Nature: Sassy
- spikes
- curse
- gyro ball
- toxic
Your standard Ferrothorn. It can set up hazards, use toxic and stall, or do massive damage with gyro ball. Any attackers that DA ferrothorn lose 25% of their health, due to iron barbs/rocky helmet. I wanted to bring Ferrothorn's SpD up, while improving gyro ball, hence the sassy nature. Curse is, in my opinion, the perfect stat move for Ferrothorn. It increases defense, which is nice, and increases atk while decreasing sp, which is a double plus to gyro ball. Ferrothorn also fits in well with trick room.
Starmie @ leftovers
ability: natural cure
EVs: (252 Hp, 208 sp, 44 SpAtk)
Nature: Timid (+ Sp, -Atk)
- Ice beam
- Thunder bolt
- Recover
- Rapid spin
Starmie is my counter to bulky waters, dragon sweepers, and hazard/phaze tactics. The movepool is great, ice/bolt for coverage, rapid spin for spinning (duh), and recover for survivability. However, Starmie won't synergize too well with sandstorm, even with leftovers.
