This is my first RMT. I decided to go with a non-stall sandstorm team. I'm not very good with intros, so here's the team:
The Lead:
Tyranitar@ Babiri Berry
EVs: 200 Attack/ 200 Defense/ 108 Special Defense
Nature: Adamant
Moves:
Crunch
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Stealth Rock
Details- Not the most common lead, but it has worked very well for me. Stealth Rock is a given. Crunch and Stone Edge for the more common leads of Azelf and Aerodactyl. I always get SR off when going against these two, bar a Choice Specs Azelf, and kill them. Jirachi gives me more problems, but I usually take it down with EQ and then switch out because it usually Tricks Specs on me. The EVs give me enough defense to survive most common lead attacks, but still hurt most common leads.
The Revenge Killers:
Flygon@ Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 Attack/ 80 Special Attack/ 178 Speed
Nature: Naughty
Moves:
Earthquake
Fire Blast
Outrage
U- Turn
Details- This is your average Flygon revenge killer. I won't say much about this because you all already know about it. Come in, hit hard, get out.
Heatran@ Choice Scarf
EVs: 6 HP/ 252 Special Attack/ 252 Speed
Nature: Naive
Moves:
Fire Blast
Earth Power
Explosion
Hidden Power (Ice)
Details- Two revenge killers! I know it seems dumb to most of you, but most teams aren't prepared for two revenge killers. I sometimes use this to absorb fire attacks and other steel type attacks which would normally cripple my team badly. The moves are pretty typical; they are for coverge, STAB, and the final blow(up).
The Mixer- Upper
Skarmory@ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP/ 64 Attack/ 176 Defense/ 16 Speed
Nature: Impish
Moves:
Brave Bird
Spikes
Whirlwind
Roost
Details- Another typical sandstorm Pokemon. Spike up, rest up, and mix it up. Everybody loves giving damage without even attacking, and that is what Skarmory does best. Then you use Brave Bird whenever you think you can finish the job right then and there. Roost to recover all the health lost because of Whirlwind's negative- priority move status and Brave Bird recoil. All in all a normal Skarmory.
Somewhat of a Bulky Sweeper
Metagross@ Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 HP/ 200 Attack/ 40 Defense/ 18 Speed
Nature: Adamant
Moves:
Bullet Punch
Earthquake
Explosion
Trick
Details- WTF! Another Choice Scarf? Yup, just to mess with people. I don't think I've seen a Metagross with a Choice Scarf before, and that is what I like my opponent to think. Whenever I use Trick I usually get Leftovers, and that is what I want. I usually switch this in on a Scizor and Trick it, which always gets me a Choice Band. The EVs are for bulkiness, because I have to survive a hit in order to Trick this item onto something else, but it still lets me hit very hard.
Kind of a Sweeper
Scizor@ Choice Band
EVs: 248 HP/ 252 Attack/ 8 Speed
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Technician
Moves:
Bullet Punch
Superpower
Pursuit
U- Turn
Details- It isn't one of the most used Pokemon for no reason. The strongest priority move in the game at 90 BP is very threatening, even when not very effective. I've swept half a team with this thing before. Everybody already knows of what Scizor does: it comes in kind of like a revenge killer, destroys its opponent, and can still stick around to take down another right after.
The big picture: As you can see, none of my Pokemon are weak to Sandstorm or SR. This is important because SR is everywhere, and a good Sandstorm team can't kill itself. I've won about 80-85% of the time on Shoddy with this team, although most people just run away after Scizor kills two Pokemon straight. You are now free to criticize this team.
