The Team

Team Buildiing Process
I decided I wanted a Sandstorm team. I had 2 choices on my sandstreamer, Tyranitar or Hippowdon. I chose Tyranitar, because I wanted a more offensive team and I knew Tyranitar was the way to go.
After that, I immediately chose Gengar as my 2nd pokemon on the team. Tyranitar and Gengar work well with eachother resisting eachothers weaknesses. I decided to give Gengar a Choice Scarf and make him my revenge killer, instead of giving him a Life Orb like i usually do because the Life Orb + Sandstorm damage would add up fast, and I wanted to make Gengar last through the battle.
I noticed both Tyranitar and Gengar had trouble with Scizor and other Steel type pokemon so I added Magnezone to the team to take care of Steel types.
Having a Sandstorm team and no Stealth Rocks didn't feel right, so I added Swampert for SR support and since I didn't have a counter for Dragons and anything that tried to set up on me, I made it a Mixpert and taught it Roar to add up the SR damage and try to stop anything that tried to set up on me.
I felt that I didn't have enough firepower on this team, so I added Salamence on this team because he seemed to play well with the other pokemon on the team, and Salamences Dragon+Flying typing paired with Magnezones Electric+Steel typing resists all 17 types in the game. And I wanted another Special Attacker so I gave him Choice Specs.
Now for my last pokemon I chose Lucario to be my Late game sweeper. Seeing that he also works well with my team.
Tyranitar@Choice Band
Ability: Sandstream
EVs: 252 HP/ 40 Atk/ 218 SpD
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
-Crunch
-Pursuit
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
Pretty good lead. I might switch Earthquake for Aqua Tail, and change its nature to Careful (+SpD, -SpA) to make it bulkier, or just change it to smogons anti-lead set.Any thoughts on this? Overall hes been a good lead, i usually just use Crunch as my main STAB attack since Stone Edge is inaccurate.
Gengar@Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Nature: Timid (+SpA, -Atk)
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-Thunderbolt
-Trick
very helpful to this team.
Magnezone@Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 6 HP/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Nature: Timid (+SpA, -Atk)
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power [Fire]
-Subsitute
-Magnet Rise
Not really sure about this guy. He's helped me get a KO on scizor and other steels, he can take both physical and special hits well. I may just take him out completely and teach Gengar Hidden Power [Fire]. I really need help deciding if he should stay or not, or what pokemon to replace him with.
Swampert@Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/ 60 SpA/ 198 Def
Nature: Relaxed (+Def, -Spe)
-Earthquake
-Ice Beam
-Stealth Rocks
-Roar
Here for Stealth Rocks Support and as a phazer. Ice Beam to Deal with Dragons, EQ for STAB. The EVs are so it can take Physical hits.
Salamence@Choice Specs
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 6 HP/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Nature: Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
-Draco Meteor
-Dragon Pulse
-Flamethrower
-Hydro Pump
It is what it looks like, the powerhouse of the team, just hit and run. Intimidate makes it easier to switch out.
Lucario@Life Orb
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 252 Atk/ 6 Def/ 252 Spe
-Close Combat
-Extreme Speed
-Stone Edge
-Swords Dance
The late game sweeper of this team. I chose Stone Edge<Ice Punch/Crunch because i thought Gengar and Tyranitar could take care of any ghost and psychic types that get in the way, and Salamence and swampert could take care of gliscor any any dragons that get in the way.
i feel that this team can do better, and it needs a lot of work.i think my team would benifit rom a taunter or a pokemon that could heal any staus problems i have, or soak up status's.
feel free to make any suggestions on anyy moves or pokemon to switch out.
Thanks for reading :)
