Hello I would like to post this RMT of a team I have had great success with. It's currently 41 Wins and 9 Losses with a rating of 1685 and I am using it on my road to top 10. Diggersby is a solid, powerful wallbreaker with decent priority that opens up opportunities for other members so that is why I chose to build around it.
Team Showcase-

Analysis-
Diggersby @ Focus Sash
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Return
- Quick Attack
I chose diggersby as my first member for power and wallbreaking. I believe sash is the best set as it can be played more recklessly and you can often afford to stay in and take a hit. Dual stab is standard and Swords Dance can allow you to break walls if you need to. For example, at +2 it can easily 2hko fat mons hippowdon and slowbro with return or quake.
Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Healing Wish
I now needed a solid switchin to water types, particularly keldeo and even manaphy and rotom-w. I also wanted a way to remove hazards to keep diggersby's sash intact and allow it a second sweeping opportunity. Defog/ Healing Wish Latias with dual stab perfectly fit the role I was looking for. It also provides me with some solid speed and a great dragon type.
Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fire]
At this point my team gets shutdown completely by bulky steels such as skarmory, ferrothorn, and mega scizor and I really needed a mon that could remove these for diggersby and latias. Naturally, I chose magnezone to fill this role. I chose scarf over specs because as you will see, my team overall is not very fast and is weak to manaphy. Magnezone lets me outspeed and kill it and provides me with some more useful speed. It also lets me pivot around with volt switch. Its a standard scarf set. Be smart against steels as trapping skarm or ferro often puts you in great position to win.
Altaria-Mega @ Altarianite
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 248 HP / 136 Def / 96 SpD / 28 Spe
Impish Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Roost
- Return
- Heal Bell
With my core of my 1st 3 mons, I get wrecked by lopunny and manectric. I also need a mega. King DDD bulky M-Altaria was my choice as it can sponge hits from much of the metagame and setup on a lot as well. I am contantly debating between heal bell and refresh. Heal bell helps cure other members but refresh has much more pp. I am using heal bell now because I never need to use more than 8 heal bell or refresh anyway, but its really a toss up between those 2 moves. Also, I need another option against keldeo as latias does not have recover. This also helps against lati. This mon has been arguably MVP of this team. It is consistent and reliable and wins many games. This mon is ridiculously good. It can act as a wall until zone removes steels and then sweep late games.
Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
I really wanted a stealth rocker and something that can deal with talonflame. Defensive Lando-T is great as it can also pivot to form a volt-turn core with magnezone. Intimidate and rocky helmet helps versus physical attackers like lopunny, metagross, and talonflame. Standard rocks set and a great fit to go along with this team.
Talonflame
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Acrobatics
- Roost
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
For my last mon, I really need a clef counter and some better priority and some speed. Spdef Taunt Talon is good here as it completely counters clef, serperior and venusaur. It is not a fast set but gale wings effectively gives you speed and acrobatics is nice for lopunny, breloom, conk, etc. Will-o-wisp also helps wear down opponents. Note- this has no item for acrobatics. Acro>brave bird here to avoid recoil.
Conclusion-
A big issue for this team is heatran. Try to play smart and wear it down so altaria can clean late-game. Also use altaria as a wall until its counters are gone. Also weavile is an issue. Try to beat it with talon. As a final note, play smart with diggersby's sash and latias healing wish as it will be a deciding factor of many games and can be crucial to beating certain threats. I am climbing to top 10 with this team and it has been solid so far. Enjoy. [My team has gone through modifications and I'm just posting a final product. This final version is better than 41-9 as most losses happened before it was finalized.]
