Hey guys! Im back with my 2nd RMT of the generation. With the introduction of HOME, I thought there would be a lot more activity within the thread, but I guess Magearna, Chien-Pao, And Zamazenta must have too limiting on the team builder. Not to mention that the meta is still very new. But, during the time of these threats, I thought up of this team, waiting for the day these bans would come lol. This a V2 as I asked for suggestions regarding the team and the revised version is the one that I will be sharing with you all today. The team is nothing to crazy, but I would consider it to be fairly solid. Thoughts and suggestions are still very much welcomed. But, without further to do...
The Team:

Post Ban Team (Motor Hawk Bax Rec):

Urshifu-Rapid-Strike @ Punching Glove
Ability: Unseen Fist
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Surging Strikes
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
- Aqua Jet
Urshifu was a very solid mon already, but the addition of swords dance has made it a potentially ban worthy sweeper. I was originally using a SD + Trailblaze set which was working pretty okay. I would end up in a decent amount of situations where the lack of priority really hurt. This set may be standard, but its still very good. With the mon, the plan is simple. Set up an SD and then sweep.
Enamorus @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Contrary
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Mild Nature
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Mystical Fire
- Superpower
Enamorus was a mon that I was very excited to use ever since PLA and it has not disappointed! The speed tier is GREAT and the special is even BETTER. Because we are running scarf, I've decided to run modest. With modest scarf, you're going to be hitting 466 speed and 513 speed with timid. In my experience the loss of speed hasn't been an issue, especially when firing off moonblasts at 405 special. The combination of earthpower and mystical fire round out enamorus' coverage very nicely and superpower is there to potentially sweep on the physical side. Replacing superpower with healing wish is also a really great option, but some of the IV's and maybe even the tera may have to change imo.
Slowking-Galar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Future Sight
- Sludge Bomb
- Chilly Reception
- Slack Off
The return of Glowking has really been a glorious one. This thing's typing makes it an incredibly good special wall while also being able to turn into regular slowking (but better) with tera. This mon is very straight forward. Come in on special move, future sight if its possible and then chili out to better position yourself against the opponent. Boots will allow Glowking to switch in in peace without having to worry about hazards possibly putting you into unfortunate ranges. I originally I had lefties, since the extra extra recovery on this is very nice to have, but by no means necessary.
Zapdos @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Static
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Heat Wave
- Roost
- Hurricane
Zapdos is one of two on the team that acts as our defensive check to physical mons. Zapdos' typing, ability, and stat distribution allow it to be a good physical pivot that can still hit mons for good damage. Volt switch is a very nice pivoting move than can honestly do decent chip to a lot of things. While it does get blocked by ground types, this team can deal with all of them very quickly and effectively, except for ting-lu. And lastly, heatwave is there for coverage to hit steel types
Great Tusk @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off
Up next we have tusk. Tusk is here for hazard control and moral support. With the rise of urshifu, zapdos, enamorus, and rain teams, I feel like the effectiveness of Tusk as a whole within the tier has definitely gone down. Its still the best rapid spinner and one of the best hazard setters in the meta. Earthquake will always be a very spam-able move and knock off will always be a good midground/spam move to use. Flying types and flying teras can very easily wall this set, but we do have zapdos to handle them and Glowking to position in zapdos safely, depending on the mon.
Ball Like A Laker (Gholdengo) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Nasty Plot
- Recover
And lastly we have gholdengo. With air balloon, being able to come in on a ground type to force their hand to pop the balloon while you take an arm and a leg with make it rain is such a wonderful feeling. Though keeping the balloon will always be a priority, as with it you can just wall mons like clodsire and E-speed EQ dragonite. Gholdengo will also help out when facing sneasler as their best move will be nightslash and most of the time they will be acro instead. Recover and nasty plot help gholdengo stay on the field longer and allow it to be a massive thorn on the side of teams because there's not a lot that wants to be switching into its stabs.
Ending Statements: I am currently sitting around the high 1600's with this team, but I will be seeing how far I can take it before I hit a wall or before the tilt gets to me. I will be updating the thread with a peak, some replays, and a revised team with your guys' suggestions if you all have any. Its been nice contributing to the thread and hopefully we can see more heat teams from people way better than I at team building :)
