SM OU Scarf Koko and M-Diancie Offense

Hey everyone, this is my first RMT since ORAS so it's been a while. This team was originally built around a Mega Manectric, Tapu Koko Core but has gone through a few changes since. The highest i have reached with this team is the 1600's.

Tapu Koko @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Electric Surge
EV's: 252spA. 4def, 252spe
Timid/Naive Nature
Thunderbolt
Dazzling Gleam
U-Turn
Grass Knot/ Brave Bird

Alongside Landorus, Koko is one of the stars of this team. Scarf Koko is an extremely good lead, outpacing the entire meta-game and being a strong choice against other offensive leads. Thunderbolt and Dazzling Gleam are used for STAB coverage whilst U-Turn gives momentum. Grass Knot allows Koko to singlehandedly deal with rain teams, OHKOing Mega Swampert after Rocks or with a little prior damage whilst Brave Bird with a Naive nature deals with Volcarona in the same way. The Given EV's allow it to speed everything outside of Jolly Excadrill in the Sand, Jolly Rock Polish Landorus or Unburden Hawlucha. An alternative spread of 40hp/ 252SpA and 216spe can be run for a little extra bulk whilst still allowing it to outpace everything outside of Timid Kingdra in the Rain.

Diancie-Mega @ Diancite
Ability: Magic Bounce
EV's: 252spA, 4Atk, 252spe
Hasty Nature
Diamond Storm
Moonblast
Hidden Power Fire
Nature Power

With Manectric the team had 2 main problems. Coverage and Sticky Webs. Diancie helps with both of those adding more coverage then Manectric and preventing webs with Magic Bounce. The set is fairly standard outside of Nature Power which under Electric Terrain becomes Thunderbolt giving Diancie a bit more coverage then usual.

landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Intimidate
EV's 252 Atk, 4Def, 252spe
Adamant Nature
Earthquake
Fly
Smack Down/ Swords Dance
Rock Polish

Landorus is the sweeper of the team. With just rock polish, Landorus can be a strong late game sweeper able to outpace majority of the metagame and clean up kills. EQ is used as your main source of damage whilst Fly with Flyinium Z is a strong nuke, which can take out pokemon Landorus cannot OHKO or even touch with Earthquake. Smack Down is used allowing it to deal with pokemon like Celestella, Skarmory and Zapdos who would otherwise deal with Landorus fairly easily whilst SD allows it to sweep a bit easier.

heatran.gif

Heatran Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EV's 248hp, 220spD, 40spe
Calm Nature
Lava Plume
Stealth Rock
Protect
Toxic

Fairly Standard Specially Defensive Heatran set. Heatran is the sole defensive pokemon on this team and the Hazard Setter. Lava Plume is used for coverage and to fish for burns against Physical threats, Stealth Rocks for Hazards allowing the team to pick up OHKO's, 2HKO's they otherwise couldn't whilst Protect allows it to outplay HJK's from pokemon like Lopunny or Medicham with good prediction as well as stall for time against a poisoned or burnt opponent. Heatran allows the team to deal with pokemon like Special based offensive threats like Tapu Lele or Magearna a lot easier whilst beating defensive pokemon like Mew 1v1.

zygarde.gif

Zygarde @ Choice Band
Ability: Aura Break
EV's 252 Atk, 4Def, 252spe
Adamant Nature
Thousand Arrows
Extreme Speed
Outrage
Toxic

Standard Choice Band Zygarde set. Thousand Arrows is used for a strong Spammable STAB move with very few switch-ins an Outrage is used for powerful coverage against pokemon that Thousand Arrows cannot break through. Extreme Speed gives the team much needed priority and allows it to pick off low offensive threats such as Volcarona or Greninja who could otherwise outpace other members of the team. Toxic is ran to cripple switch-ins such as Tangrowth or Tapu Bulu that its STAB moves could not otherwise deal with.

keldeo.gif

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EV's 252SpA, 4Def, 252spe
Timid Nature
Hydro Pump
Scald
Secret Sword
Icy Wind
The Nuke of the team. Choice Specs Keldeo hits like a truck with very few good switch-ins to its STAB combo. Hydro Pump can net OHKO's on most non-defensive pokemon and 2HKOing most defensive pokemon who do not resist it. Scald is used to fish for burns or as a powerful STAB move when you do not want to risk a Hydro Pump miss whilst Secret Sword allows it to break through Specially Defensive mons like Chansey or Tangrowth who would otherwise take little damage from Hydro Pump. Icy Wind allows it to hit Grass or Dragon types like Venusaur before its mega evolved or Latios/Latias who would otherwise resist its STAB combo on the switch alongside lowering their speed.

This team has worked fairly well together and whilst it is fairly weak to Hazards once Mega Diancie is gone or has not Mega evolved and has a fairly obvious Ground weakness, the offensive presence of its main threats has turned out to work quite well together. Anyways leave your opinions below and feel free to use/test this team all you want.

Very Solid team you got here. I definitely have yet to see a nature power Diancie. It is good if you predict a bulky water type to switch into you but if you know they will make that double I feel like you would go hard Tapu Koko anyways and get the momentum. Either way it is pretty good for hitting the likes of Toxapex but as most teams are running fast sweepers like Tapu Koko and Greninja I feel like running Rock Polish. It stops the likes of these mons coming in because they can't take a hit from Mega Diancie and now that you outspeed most of the meta game you become a much better sweeper. This is just a suggestion but Nature power can catch people off guard and hit Toxapex / Celesteela switch ins.

I also agree your team is very ground weak but there isn't a whole lot you can do about that but as Lando T is so common and run HP Ice it is something you need to be wary of. I would recommend running Stealth Rocks > Rock Polish. This will make more sense as I recommend another swap.

Lastly you are pretty weak to greninja I would say depending on the set. Your only water resist is Keldeo and if it predicts that and is running Extrasensory it's only a matter of time before it starts breaking holes through your water weakness. Though Tapu Koko always pressures it out if you are forced to sack something to get it in. This is something just to take note of.

And as you have pointed out running grass Knot, you are very weak to rain teams and as they are so prominent now you will struggle to beat them especially with such a massive water weakness. So because of this I would recommend running a Ferrothorn > Heatran because it does almost the exact same job act as a bulky shield for your team. It also reduces you ground weakness and Ferrothorn isn't a bad switch into Zygarde. You already have plenty of fire resists so ferrothorn can shine even more.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Protect

With this set you have even more hazard control by being able to set up spikes and it provides the team with leech seed recovery. I have decided to recommend Protect as you stated in your RMT you can dodge High Jump Kick. This is just a much better answer to your rain team weakness and can switch into Greninja as long as it isn't running HP Fire.

Other than that really solid team and definitely something I would use myself. I hope the two suggestions I made help, if you feel Rock Polish is a must on your Lando then go for it but this things main job is to break defensive cores with Flyinium Z.
