ORAS UU ScepLotic

Hi guys :D

It's time to build a team for the UU tier, where are really nice pokemon imo.

Milotic (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 248 HP / 128 Def / 132 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Haze
For this team, I decided to start from Milotic, a really nice pokemon with great capacity of wall.
I choosed an evs spread a little different from the usual, because i preferred give more evs in SpDef, considering that there are other two pokemon in this team with a great Def.
Scald and Ice Beam to hit enemies, while Haze>Dragon Tail to take care of SubCMinder et similia.

Sceptile (M) @ Sceptilite
Ability: Overgrow
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Giga Drain
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Fire]
I had to create a core with Milotic, but im not really good in this D:
I choose Sceptile because of these two pokemon have a great type combination, considering MegaSceptile trait too.
Giga Drain>Leaf Storm (to avoid SpAtk drop) and Dragon Pulse as STAB, while FBlast and HPFire to have a great coverage.

Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Gyro Ball
- Volt Switch
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
I decided to insert Forretress. He works really well with bulky water types such as Milotic, and he can use a slow Volt Switch that allows MegaSceptile to enter without troubles.
This is a classic 0ivs Forretress with Spikes>Stealth Rock because of the next pokemon...
Sprxymsh207.gif

Gligar (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Immunity
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Def / 244 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
Forretress and other members really appreciate Gligar's support, a great pokemon thanks to Eviolite.
Moreover with U-turn he can make a great vol-turn combo with Forretress.
Earthquake as STAB and U-turn are the main moves. I considered to give him Defog too, but i think i should choose Defog>Roost, because of the other moves are too much important.
Sprxym392.gif

Infernape (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 168 Atk / 88 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Grass Knot
- Earthquake
Finally, even if Milotic has Ice beam, bulky grass types are a serious problem, as well as special walls in general. The answer: Infernape.
Flare Blitz>Fire Blast for the accuracy, even if Fire Blast hits hard Mega Aggron, which is a serious problem for the team D: For the last slot i consider Mach Punch too.
Sprxyf488.gif

Cresselia @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Moonblast
- Toxic
At this point, as usual for me, i had no idea about my last pokemon.
I read the UU list and i found all pokemon that could give me problems, but only Suicune semmed to be the worst. For this reason, and because is a good pokemon, i choosed Cresselia. She has serious problems against Dark-, Bug- and Steel Types, but Infernape can take care of all these types.

Imo the only problem is that i have no way to heal my team from status problems like burn or toxic.

I tried this team sometimes and i lost only two games in the same way:
an enemy Galvantula set the Sticky Web and my Forretress was dead, and i had no way to take the web off. For this reason i think to give Defog>Roost on Gligar, even if i should change the trait, because if i read well and if i understood, Defog+Immunity is banished D:

So, this is all for the team, thanks in advance to all the answers and, as always, sorry for my English D:

hi

So I like how you're using Mega Sceptile, it's really great in today's metagame, but you should definitely run Leaf Storm > Hidden Power Fire. Leaf Storm gives Sceptile the necessary power it needs to function as a great revenge killer. Without Leaf Storm you lack any significant source of fire power. Hidden Power Fire doesn't really offer much in UU either, since it only hits Forretress and Escavalier, whom you handle nicely with Infernape. In a very similar vein your team would absolutely love Nasty Plot > Earthquake on Infernape. It gives you a great and powerful wincondition that helps alleviate your issues with defensive walls and tanks, to pave a path for Mega Sceptile to clean. To follow up that change you should run Fire Blast > Flare Blitz and an EV Spread of 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe to take advantage of the boost.

It seems like you want a weird hybrid of offense and balance, but Milotic has no real place on your team aside from a wall that sinks your momentum and exaggerates weaknesses. To maintain having a beneficial bulk Water-type you should run Swampert > Milotic. Swampert compresses a large amount of roles on your team. It sets up Stealth Rock, checks Entei, a Volt Switch-in, and a phaser for setup sweepers. Seeing as how you have an apparent weakness to Sableye, Gardevoir > Cresselia would be a nice choice. Not only does it beat Sableye it gives you a better answer to the various Dragon-types that reside in the tier. It also gives you another wincondition that absolutely decimates stall. Gligar isn't exactly dead-weight and if you so wish to use it an offensive set should be used as the other wincondition would be nice: Swords Dance / Earthquake / Knock Off or Stone Edge / Roost
Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Damp
EVs: 240 HP / 16 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Roar

Gardevoir @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Moonblast
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock

Mmm...
First of all thanks for the rate, then I agree for Leaf Storm, HP Fire was not so much powerful.

I'm sorry but i don't understand why a Special Attack set should be better D: I put Infernape in this team to have a phisical sweeper, I'm using him with 252atk/252spd D:

Ok for Milotic, didnt think about Swampa, I was trying Tentacruel on his place and he is not bad. He gives me Haze and Rapid Spin too, but il try how Swampa will work.

Ok for Gardevoir, ill try too

Hey Savior37, cool team you have here! I wish you could elaborate more in your descriptions so I could better understand your thought process, but I think figured out your general idea by the team structure. Overall, I find this team to be quite decent and has some definite potential. A few tweaks is all it needs to become a competent and consistent ORAS UU team.

To begin, I think a more optimal EV spread for Milotic is 248 HP / 244 Def / 16 Spdef w/ a Calm Nature. Milotic is your main fire resistance, and it is key to be able to comfortably switch into the likes of Entei and Darmanitan. This EV spread will allow you to more comfortably switch into those aforementioned Fire types, while still having enough bulk to switch into special attacks like Hydreigon's Draco Meteor.

My second suggestion is to add Leaf Storm > HP Fire on Sceptile. Focus Blast and HP Fire hit very similar pokemon and is overall not the best option to use HP Fire in most circumstances. Leaf Storm, on the contrary, is a necessity on any Sceptile as it is the only move that has good wall breaking potential. Dual Grass stab is perfectly viable and is useful in a lot of circumstances since Sceptile does not have to lower it's SpA if it is unnecessary and the ability to regain health is great. Another reason HP fire is inferior is because the loss of one speed IV means you under-speed Alakazam before Mega-Evolving as well as the not having the ability to speed-tie opposing Sceptile/Beedrill.

My next suggestion is to opt for Choice Banded Entei > LO Infernape. Entei overall seems like the superior option on this team. Not only is Entei generally a superior physical wall breaker than Infernape, but Entei is also a fantastic pokemon to pair up with Spikes(due to most of it's common switch-ins being grounded) as well as adding a key Fairy resistance that Infernape did not provide. Fairy types look like they could give some trouble since Forretress is not always the most reliable answer. A Sceptile + Entei offensive core is super cool and effective!

Set:

Entei @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Extreme Speed
- Stone Edge
- Flare Blitz

My final suggestion is Moonlight > Toxic on Cresselia. Toxic seems quite silly on a pokemon like Cresselia when its roll is to be a setup sweeper. Without a form of recovery, Cresselia would fail at essentially all of it's duties. These would include: beating opposing Calm Mind users due to Psyshock, effectively switching into Fighting / Ground types, staying alive for the entirety of the battle, and so on.

Overall I find this team to be very solid and I hope you consider my suggestions!

I'm so sorry m8, but I am not english so i have to translate what i wanna say and i find some difficults D:

First, thanks for the rate, i'm happy that my team is quite good, it means that I'm learning something XD

However, i choosed the spread for Milotic to give him more SpDef, because there are Forrtress and Gligar with very high defence, btw I'll try ur spread.

Everyone is saying tome that HP fire is not a good idea XD Let's take Leaf Storm!

I'll try Entei, it sounds good (I like also the Shiny in Entei's build lol, Shiny Entei is so much beautiful :D

Ok for Cresselia, the only way to heal was the Leftovers, I'll try Moonlight.

Thank you for the rate another time man
