Sceptile gen 8 OU team

Hey!
Sadly, Sceptile is pretty outclassed in Gen 8 OU as an offensive Grass type. However- it does have a niche in the fact that it can fit well in Terrain Offense teams. With its hidden ability, Unburden, it can hold an Electric/Grassy/Misty/Psychic Seed based on the team it is featured on.
For example, on an Electric terrain team:
Sceptile@Electric Seed
Ability: Unburden
252 Atk, 4 SpD, 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Swords Dance
-Leaf Blade
-Earthquake/Drain Punch
-Acrobatics/Throat Chop/Rock Slide/Iron Tail/Dragon Claw/Outrage/Thunder Punch/X-Scissor/Synthesis

It's faster than Unburden Hawlucha and only has ever so slightly less Attack. However, Hawlucha has better offensive STAB in return as well as less of a need for coverage. On Electric Terrain teams with Tapu Koko, Alolan Raichu, Regieleki, Pincurchin, etc. is where Sceptile shines as it is capable of deleting the Ground types that trouble its teammates.
Special sets like yours sadly have virtually no coverage due to the loss of Hidden Power, outside of Focus Blast (suffers from unreliability) and Dragon Pulse (only hits Dragon types for meaningful damage).
So to reiterate: The team you made is better executed with Rillaboom or Kartana or Tapu Bulu for an offensive Grass type. However, if you made a terrain offense team (probably best to do Electric Terrain given type synergy), that would be the most successful build you could make. For that team, I would personally run something like
TLDR; I pretty much didn't give you input on your actual team lol, sorry. but since you seem to really want to use Sceptile in OU, try my team I made just for you.

Thank you for your rating! I know Sceptile is GARABGE, I just really wanted to make it work. I appreciate you replying, and will take your advice in the electric terrain team, I really like it!

I wouldn't actually say it's garbage. Just outclassed in OU-I personally love Sceptile. And no problem!

Hi, welcome to Smogon! I am locking your RMT for the time being as the forum rules require that you provide at least three lines of descriptions for each Pokemon to explain their roles. Please read the rules carefully and look at Team Showcase to see the detail we require. PM me with updated descriptions, and I will be happy to unlock this.
